the 1 3/4" swhackers are where its at, i shot a doe, a big 9 point and a turkey with them last season. everything died with-in eye sight (never had that with fixed heads). all heads still spin true and no damage to the blades, i touched up the blades and put them back in my quiver.
Bowhunter for 40yrs but new to crossbows. I shy away from mechanicals for reasons you mention in the video, but did try Rage crossbow heads this year. 20yd double lung pass through with cut or broken ribs on each side which left a blood trail loud and proud. I've no idea where the bolt went so I don't know what the head looks like after that kill. That's alot of buildup to my question..Is it normal to NOT get a pass through with mechanicals out of a crossbow? This one blew through like butter, but if that's not the rule, I will go back to fixed heads.
With the right shot placement any broad head will pass through. A lot of factors , distance, weight of head, etc. best advice is to take your time and practice and always make good shots, I use both mechanical and fixed depending. On the situation I’m hunting.
Yeah , Ive gone out to 40 with minimal variation with the stingers, specs say good to 100 but I would never take a shot that far. When I tested grim reapers last year I was testing to 60 and was very close to dead on. The scopes make it very easy bc the yardage is listed on the pins inside the scope.
That’s why it’s always a good idea to test shoot before the season, different crossbows like different heads, for the last couple years I shot grim reapers really well, but they get trashed and are useless after one kill. Thanks for the input.

I waited 15 years to upgrade and couldn’t be happier, they are very accurate.
My R10 does not like these broadheads! For some reason the 150 grain Wasp and 100 grain QAD Exodus fly better than these
