The boutique broadhead market is alive and well. None of those heads will bleed anything out better than the Magnus Stinger 4 blade or the 40 dollar 6 pack of old school Muzzy 4 blades. If I was looking for mechanicals though I’d give that REK head a try. I have to edit here and say Wasp needs to make a nice practice head. Matter o fact, every manufacturer should.
I’ve been thinking about trying the 2 blade Stinger just because of how easy they would be for me to sharpen them. They are the same steel as one of my hunting knives. All i’d have to do is run it through a pull through sharpener, strop it and it’ll shave you bald.
If you are willing to try them, the Sevr broadheads are amazing. The price for them has steadily increased to the point that I may consider some different options this year, but as far as accuracy and blood trails, they've been amazing.
Probably not the place for my kind of nonsense, but I made it my goal to spend money on 3 things this bow season. Tags, gas and food. I will use all of the broadheads I have already purchased. Tested all of them, so I know what they will do. I as many others can really use a tuning session or two, to really understand our equipment. Tested means trusted in the field. Just no nonsense, truely immersed experience and the Lord willing success this season. Time to say enough is enough. The buck stops here! All pun intended. Good luck to all, shoot straight, aim small, miss small!
Have trouble spending $100+ for 3 heads!!! Luv Iron Wills but dam I’m not so worried about breaking an expensive head I’m more worried about taking a shot and losing my arrow. With $100 heads that’s for me around a $45 an arrow. I shoot magnus ser razors now and that drops to $20-25 an arrow. If you can be sure not to lose them fine but I hunt from ground a lot so finding pass through arrows is hard at times. Switching to trad and thinking of the crimson talon single bev’s for $30 for 3.
I’ll never understand why people shoot these single bevel heads and heavy arrow set ups you limit yourself so much with a slow arrow and a broad head that does the least amount of damage? But to each their own. Thanks for the great video
New to Rage . I have the yellow crossbow 100 grain nc , pushing down with fingers to open it ( like shooting in to hide ) ITs take a lot for it to open (HARD) ? So hard I'm not sure if it'll open on a deer ?
@user-ph1nc7ux3u Not true. Both heads have slight alterations. Now available in chisel & micro blade tips with increased blade sharpness & the new +P version that 1.75" cut. Yes Rage looks the same but they keep changing things over & over. There's been like 22 different variations of Rage broadheads. I also did a interview in the Feradyne booth. While the changes aren't earth shattering they are slightly different.
I gotta stick with my SIK broadheads....love the bloodtrails they make...the wound channel stays open til the end of the trail where the Whitetails lay....just sayin...
Did anyone notice there were no mention of Manufacturing of the Chinese brands only USA made brands. And WOW look at those prices. HAHAHA. "BIDENOMICS, As Long As You're Paying For It I'm In."
Talk about retreads. Most of those are just remade or recopied heads. The single bevels are at least trying to do something somewhat new even if that is what 50 year old tech also. But the rest of those are just straight knock offs.
@noahh9063 might want to look it up online too much too explainbut him and his wife got caught up in a large poaching ring made up of several outfitters they where affiliated with.
The people that spend that kind of money on broadheads crack me up, they think that spending ridiculous amounts of money will make them better hunters......that never works.
My goodness!! It’s a testament of how horrible our current administration has completely screwed our economy!! 150$ broadheads, 150$ to fill the truck. 150$ for food drinks ice batteries snacks. It’s slightly cheaper to go buy steaks and not nearly as fun!
As someone who started bowhunting with 2 blade cut on contact broadheads (with and without bleeders) back in '82, I find it interesting that they have made such a comeback. They're much more robust in construction now but still have that same 1 1/16" (+ or - 1/16") cut diameter. In my experience those style heads produce the most hit or miss blood trails of any style of head.
Sharpness is key. If the blood trail is faint, then you didn't hit where you needed, or the blades weren't shaving sharp. I've killed dozens of animals with a 1- 1/16 cut head with a 3:1 ratio and the blood trails are massive. I will add if my head isn't " popping" the hairs off my arm with zero effort, then it's not even close to being ready to hunt with...
i used ramcats for several years, they sure do bleed"em out quick, but i hated that my blade tips curled back every time i shot a deer with one, i don't like one and done things.
John Lusk is going to be busy testing this summer!

Muzzy for the win!
Crimson talon has a great single bevel and it is half the price of all those others....and it's been John Lusk tested and approved
Vantage Point Archery made right here in Fort Wayne, IN with steel made in the USA! Can go right to the manufacturer to purchase broadheads!
Yup vpa is a great product been using them for years I really like them
Grim Reapers are the way to go. Built in the USA 🇺🇸
Junk
@@voxpopuli905 Entitled to your opinion. But I’ve got a trophy room at home that says otherwise.
@@hunteradamson5024 me too. Also damn lost a trophy or two because of them so 🤷🏻♂️
@@voxpopuli905 just got another one today that made it 30 yards. I’ve had nothing but great experiences. Sorry for your bad experience.
Thanks JZ. Great info 👍🏼 Looks like Rage must've allowed Hypodermic patent to expire. Lots of similar looking rear-deploying 2 blades 🤔
N.A.P. , BEAR , MAGNUS , HAUS may be worth a look at for traditional archers with an additional weight system
Were Beast Broadheads not at the ATA show ?
I'd like to know more on that g5 two blade
Magnus 👀💪🏻
WoW 30 40 50 Bucks for 3 broadheads i'll keep my old Bear 2 blade razorheads.
REK broadheads for the win!!! Michigan made!

What’s ironic is my Zwickey broadheads I bought for 7.99 per 3 back in 1990 at K-Mart can be resold for 30/3 pack. Our money is now worthless
FJB and cammeltoe too!
Magnus made in the USA with USA materials and lifetime warranty. I use the black hornet ser razor but they’ll all do the job.
Ya, right. With prices like what I'm seeing. I might as well stick to bullets.

Where is the Triple Point Clovis?
You're saying rage nc cut on contact and show the broadhead then you show a total different rage broadhead with hypodermic head. Are these both new?
First shown is a rage hypodermic NC (no collar) second is a trypan
And neither one is new for 2024 🤷🏻♂️
I think the trypan shown is the new 1.75 inch nc
Good to know thanks 👍🏻

I'll stick with my GrimReapers
Which ones do you use?
What’s up with Dead Ringer stealing Simmons’ “Great White” name? 🤨
I switched from sevr for the past 5yrs to beast and am highly impressed got 2 more dozen on order now
Best mechanical out there
Too bad the owner is a dick head. And a poacher… 🤷♀️
I gotta stick with my SIK broadheads....love the bloodtrails they make...the wound channel stays open til the end of the trail where the Whitetails lay....just sayin...
I'll keep my Simmons swamp shark
Grim Reaper the only broad you will need.
Which ones?
Rage patient muat have expired 😂. I see NAP and G5 clones.😂😂😂
So n.a.p and g5 just made a rage that's been around for the last 15years....
This was depressing. I'm glad I am stocked up on broadheads!
Did anyone notice there were no mention of Manufacturing of the Chinese brands only USA made brands. And WOW look at those prices. HAHAHA. "BIDENOMICS, As Long As You're Paying For It I'm In."
Nap and muzzy are now made in China after both company's sold out.both used be made in usa
Rage are made in China
Your kidding right?
Almost all of those heads are made overseas
So you complain about the prices but you also want them made in America. Clearly you aren’t the brightest bulb in the box.
They priced themselves out of my pocket book...
The NAP verdict looks awfully familiar.... almost like a RAGE!
I think the patents for Rage’s designs must be expiring. NAP has a Rage clone, so does G5 and Allen

Only so many ways to make a quality, lethal broadhead. If they’re copying proven designs, we should be fine with that, right?
Sevr 1.75 isn’t new I used it in the 2023 season
SER RAZOR 125 w BLEEDERS. Smokem if ya gottem boys.
Glad I just got 8 packs of mega meats to hold me over for a little lol
I’ve been looking at those. How do you like them?
Why is the beast by the Bowmars not on this ??
Probably in jail not able to make Ata been in lot of trouble lately.😂
probably went right to the trash can where they belong.

Wow, that's crazy all the new broadheads. And they really wasn't anything that looked good to me

None of this stuff is new. Just hyped up old technology.
Annihalator is a joke and always will be, amongst other junk I see here

Agreed! I been dropping whitetails for 30 years with a fixed 3 blade muzzy. zero issues. 40 bucks for a 6 pack!

Thanks for including the VPA Omega broadhead! Precision-machined for durability and dependability and reusability..and 100% American-made!
Not impressed. And the prices are out of mind
Anyone remember when you could buy 6 USA -made broadheads for less than $25? Nice memory, isn’t it? 😏
Prices are ridiculous 😭😭😭
What about tooth of the arrow?
Those shit Rage’s can stay at Walmart. Jak xv is a grim reaper,
Sevr is trash.
Magnus single bevel looks interesting at a reasonable price.
How come no one else has noticed that the guys at magnus have blatantly copied the cleaver from crimson talon?
which is also a blatant copy.... of a grizzly stik masai

I suppose there are only so many ways to make a flat piece of metal with two cutting surfaces...

Im glad rage finally made something with a factory sharp chisel or spike tip.
Old old rages had to be sharpened on a stone by hand (tip)
Sure missed out not going to Trifecta Broadheads booth. Just look at Lusk's tests.
Thanks for the video.
Thank you, love to watch these!👍
