  • 17k Miles and this truck has been nothing but problems! Toyota WILL not warranty common issues because of the lift kit but I was having these rumble issues from 68-75 mph during acceleration before my lift was installed. The dealer I called about the issue "Damian Lillard Toyota" in McMinnville oregon told me its a new truck and that is common, it will work itself out. Being that they did not notate that I was having that issue I am now stuck having to pay for these repairs myself. I really love everything about the truck, but it has not been reliable. I'd love to be able to come to an agreement with toyota that will allow me to get a well built car/suv/truck from japan in place of this problematic Tundra. Now Precision Toyota of tucson AZ will not warranty the parts even though its a known common problem for these trucks. Passing the buck to the lift kit. ‪@toyotausa‬

I recently bought a 2024 Tundra. The dealer explicitly stated to me that the crankshaft bearing problem was fixed for 2024. He was under informed or lying. The 2024s are blowing up, just like the 2023/2022s!!
I suspect that Toyota isn't extending the 2022/2023 engine recall to the 2024s until they have sold the 2024s off their lots.
I suspect that the bearing problem is not completely explained by debris left in during forging in Alabama and Japan.
Concern: The new engines might disintegrate, too, if they were built before April 2024 when Toyota changed the front crankshaft bearing.
I suspect that bearing change was "the fix." If so, there are lots of 2024 Tundras that will blow their engine.
Instead of focusing on engineering, Toyota is focusing on complicated, expensive trim items. Remember "new Coke", which was supposed to be better than old Coke?
Below, please find a great analysis of the bearing problem by the Car Care Nut!

Essentially my goal for it to look and run brand new. I have zero issue with my truck. I do mean zero, except from natural ageing and road use. I have look at Toyotas new trucks. Please explain to me the train of thought You know them well You're not supposed to buy a new car as soon as of the production line You have to give it a couple years for them to work out the kinks I've been talking about this for the past couple years I got Lexus GX 2016 I did not buy it in 2014 or 13 when it came out I waited a couple years I always do that with all my cars. Yes always get a brand new car and keep it as long as you can however never get a brand new car from redesign cycle everybody knows that come on

    • @glow4417
      @glow4417 7 месяцев назад

Well people need a car and figure a new redesign by Toyota will still be OK. But the truth is even Toyota redesigns have issues. Ideally want to wait until the 4th year of a new model or later. But it looks like Tundra might not be reliable this entire generation or past 4 years in.

Sucks that they are shafting you on the lift, and it’s disappointing to see that so much blame is being pointed to that mod. Did you buy the truck used and what made you decide to add an aftermarket lift? Where you advised that it could void warranty when you did so?

I keep seeing videos like this lately, from various RUclipsrs talking about problems with the new Tundra. I was going to get one, too, but didn't like several aspects of their redesign, as well as the high prices and dealership markups. I decided to get a new Nissan Titan at a discount and it's been good. Seeing videos like this help confirm to me that I made a good choice. For what it's worth, we have a Toyota Highlander, and it has some issue with the microphone not working now, which makes the radio stop working when it happens, and reportedly it's because we haven't subscribed to the SOS service. Like, seriously Toyota?

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is a federal law in the United States that governs warranties on consumer products, requiring manufacturers and sellers to provide detailed information about warranty coverage to consumers, ensuring they can easily compare warranty terms before purchasing a product; it is enforced by the Federal Trade Commission. * No way a lift with larger tires will cause rear diff to go bad and have metal chips in gear oil, let alone cause the transmission to go bad. Dealer/Toyota has to prove 100% that the lift/tires caused this issue.

This is the exact reason when all the fanboys were talking about how great the new tundra was in October of 2021 I purchased a V-8 Trd pro lunar rock not one issue same exact thing with my 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser if you want a truck that will last you the rest of your life go find a 2020 or a 21 tundra your situation sucks, bro I would get rid of that truck as soon as possible best of luck to you, man

I get problems with one model but Toyota is having serious problems with a lot of their models now. My new 2020 Camry turned a Toyota fan in to a Toyota hater. I dumped it before its second oil change because it was the most annoying car I ever owned and I didn't trust it to last.

I put my money towards a vehicle that has proven to be reliable, looks fantastic and most of all, is made by a company that offers CHOICES to their customers. 2.7 litre TTV6, 3.5 Litre, Hybrid powertrain, TTV6 or naturally aspirated 5.0 litre V8 (one of the sweetest recent V8s). My personal truck is an F150 hybrid Powerboost and I lease/own all the other powertrains for my work vehicles. Don't sell your identity to a "brand"....... shop smart.

is your lift a TRD Lift from the factory? Many lift kits are not built to par and do stress some of the factory parts. I had 4 tundra... 2013, 2015, 2019 and now a 2025. Never any issues with any of them. My brother has a 2022 and put on the factory 3'" lift from Toyota to avoid these issues. I can tell you kits like rough country and some other after market companies are absolute garbage! You need to research the shit out of kits. I know Wescott designs specialize in Toyota or you can always go with Toyota's kit. My brothers truck had to be recalibrated to make sure the sensors and other electronics were accurate. I know other lift kits are not doing that! Its a chance you take when you go aftermarket.

The 23's and 24's have been a nightmare for most owners. Engine, diff, bearings and the list goes on. It's getting so bad most people are starting to hit up the lemon law because these things have been in the shop so often. There is something seriously wrong with the way the parts themselves have been designed for this model.

And to top it off they're like $10,000 more. So disappointing. I have a 2021 V8 Tundra, no wonder the dealership is trying to buy my truck and get me into these crappy new models, hell nah!!

Hey Man glad to catch your video. But I hate to say it but your video is about the same as every 2022 to 2024 Tundra videos that are popping up lol. You are for sure alot calmer than I would be if in same situation lol. Ya everything you said seams like the norm for these. That whole bull shit of not giving you a truck when they have yours is bull shit. Your paying for one and not able to drive it. And As you was talking about what was wrong and the warranty. I knew before you said it they would tru to blame the lift kit. That is the only thing they have to make up for there incompetence. They sound like these Democrats that are in the government lol. Ya after they just put out this big recall of engine failure. I will stick with the bulletproof 2021 and under Tundra's. I still love my 2014 limited that has 195,000 miles, and "knock on wood" the the biggest thing I had to replace was front rotors and tie rod end. Oh and I think I need to replace the shocks next. I have 35's on it and getting maybe about 14 to 15 mpg, thats biggest negative. Hey Bud hope you have luck, but I would say get rid of that truck. Or find out about that big recall it affects 2022 and 2023 Tundra's

Yeah the door rattles are super common. Along with weird noises in the drive train. The new Tundra just seems like a pile of crap.

As a non RUclipsr I made a video discussing my experience with the 2022.. .. I love the way it drove. But it was an over priced hunk of junk. 2 weeks ago I traded it in for a 24 4runner. I took a hit.. but I'm happy.

Yeah I would love if Toyota would either buy this back or trade me for a Trd pro 4Runner. I’d make that exchange as well!

So you're upset because Toyota wont "warranty common issues because of the lift kit?" I mean why would you expect them to? WE ALL know not to lift our trucks until the factory warranty expires. Perhaps the shop you got your tuck lifted did a poor job in doing so. Take it back to them to fix and stop bitching fishing for sympathy on youtube

Well now you know what it is like being a FORD truck owner. Welcome to the club By now Toyota management has learned that buyers will pay any premium for their brand. Has the lower in the engine started to create mysterious noises? Let me guess.... you also paid WAY over sticker price too.

Yea, I was waiting to hear you say the dealer blames the tires, the lift or both.
If anybody is looking at a Tundra a late model second Gen is the best bet.
Seems Toyota really shot themselves in the foot with these and Toyota service has been horribly unreliable for years.

Step #1. Do not lift your new vehicle 4 inches higher.
Yeah it sucks these trucks are having issues, but still. Gotta be smart.

    • @Andyshine77

The 2nd gen and 3rd gen Tacoma was made in Mexico, too. Well, a few 2nd and 3rd gen's were made in the United States. The overall quality wasn't great, but bothe the 1gr-fe and 2gr-fks were very reliable v6 engines. Both engines were made in Huntsville, Alabam, the new 4-cylinder in the Tacoma and the V6 and the tundra are both made in Alabama.
I believe Toyota did a pretty good job with the T24A-FTS 4 cylinder that's in the new Tacoma, it's old school in many ways. The problem with the new Tacoma is the cheap down on the interior and are asking far too much for the truck.
The V35A-FTS in the Tundra is an unmitigated mess. Toyota went with unproven high-tech everywhere ant it's a total failure.
