- We took a few bits of footage at ConnectiCon of Raven! Nothing fancy, just done with my camera and no stabilisation, but it's fun to see the costume (and especially the feathers!!) actually moving.
Cosplay showcase videos are something I really want to get into, especially showing off the details I put into my pieces. If anyone has thoughts or recommendations about that, please let me know!
This cosplay is absolutely breathtaking. I feel like it's how Raven would look if she some somehow stepped into the real world out of the show.
Thank you kindly! I put a lot into the details of the costume. :)
I agree
This really blows my mind it deserves a lot more views
This was so freaking beautiful. My plan is to cosplay as Raven for DragonCon next year and this is super inspiring to see. You have got to be the most accurate Raven cosplayer I've seen and I fangirled at all the details present in your costume. Keep up the awesome work!
Thank you! Her costume is such a cool design--good luck with yours for DragonCon!
Uff so beautiful !! Nice work!! i love !!!
This deserves more views!
If a RWBY short live action happen in the future, we know who will play Raven.
This is practically Raven in the real world.
Thank you so much! I loved bringing more texture to her costume!
Very well done!
WOW!!!
nice cosplay subbed and liked
i really like the cosplay its on point somethings a little off tho i dont know if its the facial expressions or demeanor but the majority of the time Raven seems to be more serious or displeased in the anime series..
Good thing I’m not obligated to match every internet person’s interpretation of the character. :)))
Where's the Nevermore Grimm Mask!?
Didn't have time or funds to make it for this convention. ;)
what materials did you use to make your Raven Branwen costume
Well. A lot. :P The shirt and skirt are different silks, the belt panels are leather, the belts are leather/thrifted, the armour is made from thibra, the leggings are linen. Those are the basics anyway.
@@SilhouetteCosplay i have a dress that im thinking about cutting up to make the top and it has a maroon red connected to it and its black as well
@@SilhouetteCosplay what is thibra
@@louisarivera4641 Thibra is a thermoplastic that many cosplayers and propmakers use. I actually wouldn't recommend it for this kind of work--it was a PAIN to deal with--but you could make the gaunlets out of something like foam or another kind of thermoplastic like worbla. There are lots of tutorials out there for working with both.
@@SilhouetteCosplay cool and how did you make raven headwear
