Daenerys Dragonstone Cosplay
I put together a few clips from my Daenerys shoot last spring! Video somehow brings out details of the embroidery that photos can't quite capture.
Costume is entirely handmade, with about 120 hours of embroidery work over the whole thing.

Daenerys Targaryen LOCKSTITCHING DEMO

This is a fairly quick demo of the lockstitch technique that's used in many of Daenerys' costumes from Game of Thrones. I used silk and metallic threads to blend my dragonscale smocking to my landing/Dragonstone dress fabric. We took a few bits of footage at ConnectiCon of Raven! Nothing fancy, just done with my camera and no stabilisation, but it's fun to see the costume (and especially the feathers!!) actually moving. Cosplay showcase videos are something I really want to get into, especially showing off the details I put into my pieces. If anyone has thoughts or recommendations about that, please let me know!

I get a LOT of people asking about how I paint my armour to make it look both aged and very metallic! This is a quick (ish) timelapse of my process on one of my new Loki vambraces. I decided to film my second Loki horn as I wrapped it in worbla! The base is insulation foam, carved and sanded down. Then I cut very rough shapes of worbla, two pieces for each horn, leaving plenty of extra to make sure I had enough coverage. These days i am currently working on a fanfic of mine but i struggle to match my oc Clare with one of the avengers and i want it to be a male since she is hetero. She is short, have blue eyes and long dark brown hair. She is very kind but can be a bit sassy in her comments. She is stubborn and she is born in the aries. She is outgoing and she loves to listen on music and dance and sing. She likes to drink and she has a gift to always or often find something good in almost every like situation. She is bubbeling and very supportive. She is half norwegian and half american so she is very driven in the norwegian drinking games that she has learned from her norwegian family. She is close to her thirties or in the thirties. She was a former shield agent and her powers are drawing energy, give energy and sense energies both good and bad. what materials did you use to make your Raven Branwen costume
Well. A lot. :P The shirt and skirt are different silks, the belt panels are leather, the belts are leather/thrifted, the armour is made from thibra, the leggings are linen. Those are the basics anyway.

@@louisarivera4641 Thibra is a thermoplastic that many cosplayers and propmakers use. I actually wouldn't recommend it for this kind of work--it was a PAIN to deal with--but you could make the gaunlets out of something like foam or another kind of thermoplastic like worbla. There are lots of tutorials out there for working with both.
