I watched dozens of videos and yous was the only one that allowed me to see why my braids were so dam loose at the root. My pinky and ring finger were resting on my scalp which pulled down on the hair causing a loose root. This was the final step. Thank you soooooo much. I immediately subscribed. I want to my tutorial folder a d deleted most of the other videos. I'll watch your others videos. I am forever grateful!
You are the best teacher ever!! You don’t even want to know how many videos I have watched to try to figure out how to braid my daughter’s hair. You have explained each method so well and working with the purple hair was perfect to see what you are doing exactly!!
I had been having problems with hand placement of the hair. Not until I saw your video was I relieved. I had a Oprah "ah hah moment". There is always more than one way to skin a cat. Thank you for showing another way.
You’re a goddess for this. I come back to this video every time I’m finna do my own box braids after too long. I be forgetting how to hold my hands and need a little reminder!
@@NiqueLynn I did them this weekend! They turned out sooo good!!! I sent your info to a few of my friends so they can watch and learn too. Thank you boo 💕💖
Thank you so so much for this video. I have been trying to know how to start out the 3 strand braid and I could never get the finger lock part and u have truly showed me with the color hair. You are a helluva teacher I wish I could give you a million likes. I'm so happy i found ur page u have a follower for life. God bless you Queen.
Hi Leslie, so sorry for the late response! Thank you so much. If you are on Facebook feel free to join me there along with other braid sisters! facebook.com/groups/HairHustleHopeCollective
You have explained so much to me I've been trying to figure out how to tighten my grip and I think that downward thumb is my best way to do that so thank you very much.
Great video. I’m learning and trying to get better at this for my daughters. Gripping the root is my biggest problem and keeping the braids neat all the way down. I found that I get the neatest braid when I start with three pieces yet my grip is worst with three pieces.😬
Heyyy Daana!!! Thank you, I would be glad to!❣🙂 In the mean time I do have these knotless videos ruclips.net/video/5elJ4buLbf8/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/2I1-BZbT4kI/видео.html
Thank you so much For Posting this! You Explain this really Well!! I always start my braid off with Method 1 & 2, but I love Method 3 & 4, so I'm going to Try those.. Thanks for adding The Knotless braid because I want to learn how to Do those As well.. Thank You!
Heyyy love, I was really hoping you saw this video! I made just it for you! 🥰 Do you have Facebook, I just started a new group. I am going to start accepting members by the end of the month! facebook.com/groups/HairHustleHopeCollective/
Great question! I'm not really sure to be quite honest. The rubberband method may be shorter than some because they could probaly slip or pop after a while...(just thinking out loud lol)
I'm glad that I watched your video. My question is how do you determine how small or thick the extension should be before installing it to the hair ? Like do you equate it to the size of a pencil ? I hope I didn't confuse you with my question
😊 Thank you for your comment. I totally understand. So when it comes to traditional box braids I like for the braiding hair to be a little thicker than the section of hair I’m going to braid
Yes this was great! I am about to do box braids on my stepdaughter for the first time and was just trying to get a good idea of how I want to start at the root! now I am wondering if she will want to do knotless. Are your third and fourth pieces bigger than the first two? I can never remember if you start off small and end with bigger pieces or the other way. I want to only use about four pieces. Thank you so much for this!
Good morning, thank you 🙏🏽 I like to keep my sizes pretty much the same. Just remember to keep the strand a thinner the leg of the braid you are sliding it under. I hope that makes sense lol
Hmmmm? Great question! It's funny because I actually didn't cover that method in this video. But I did cover it in this one! ruclips.net/video/5LXf6DQUlmE/видео.html Let me know what you think.
I appreciate this video. Thank you. Do you have any that show the underhand method that I’ve seen in some of your other videos in a more slowed down way?
Hi Ashley, I can certainly add to the list, thanks hun because I never even thought about that! Are you on Facebook, if so join our FB group. The girls are always giving tips and things like for for braiding! facebook.com/groups/HairHustleHopeCollective
Thats a great question. However it really depends on the hair that you are using because different brands my have different amounts of hair in the bag. So, for example if I am doing medium box braids. I get about 8-10 pieces per bag. It's also can depend on how thick or thin your client wants their braids as well. 😊
Mine came with my cosmotology kit, but here is an Amazon affiliate link amzn.to/2BqAkJj. You don't have to choose this one but it will point you in the right direction.
@@kellsliving3220 oh my goodness i struggled with that for so long too. I wish I had an even easier way to explain it, but the best I can say is to keep practicing it, it will click.
@ Hey, the key to this method is to just separate the natural hair in 3 strands and lay the 3 strands of the braiding over the top and braid. Maybe I can try and do a more in depth tutorial.
