- I bought this smashed iPhone for AUD$20 off eBay. It looks like it's come home from the war.
I try to patch up this poor thing, and give it a new life.
Can you solder just the power button on the flex cable?

I am impressed that a phone with that much damage still (mostly) worked. Also clever use of the ice cube tray to hold all of the tiny parts.

I watched the entire video and taking that thing apart... then thoroughly cleaning it.... then putting back together it must of taken forever.

where did you find these replacement parts (screen, home button, back glass) so many cheap copies all around, thanks for answer!
I had a lot of these parts that I had left over from a repair business. They were bought from ETradeSupply, years ago.
question what did you use to shine the metal part of the frame?

IPA would damage the lenses? How?
Camera lenses often have a coating on them, which is erased with alcohol or a solvent.

Please downgrade it to iOS 6.1.3, it will work so much faster and better, if you need any help with that I could send you a tutorial.

@@nelsondog100 a downgrade to iOS 6 would improve your iPhone 4, yes. However you’ll need a computer and a program called iPhone4Down by LukeZGD. It runs on Linux and MacOS. Hope I helped! :)
