Cohen had secretly recorded the conversation where they spoke about an alleged payment to former Playboy model Karen McDougal. Attorney and CBS News campaign reporter Katrina Kaufman has more.

It's not "hush money" if they won't hush
They really are trying to get Trump with everything they possibly can whatever sticks to the wall. It's obviously it is a witch hunt. And the media is getting all wet over it
Because it involves misusing political campaign and violates one of the criminal laws in NYC (can't recall the name of it). Stormy isn't suing Trump, otherwise she has to do it in civil court.

He's Attorney took the fall and never got reimbursed and more than likely he wants his name cleared as he served time for a cover up for his client to be elected. It worked for his client but not for him. This is the case with all of his close friends. Too plead guilty on his behalf. He's clear to say he's done nothing wrong if that keeps happening. COVID 19 came in 2019 it couldn't say anything until 2020. Cover ups are the art of the deal, but it always comes back up.

Trump did not want voters to know about the "affair." He faked business transactions to hide this fact from voters. That is the crime. As a voter, I have a right to know if candidates are decent human beings or not. I can take it if a candidate if a philanderer, or if they have a police record, but I need to know and not have facts deliberately hidden from me prior to casting a vote. You do too.

It was a legal settlement, claimed as, wait for it, a legal expense. Any cost incurred in avoiding litigation is a legal expense, the government claiming it was to influence the election while they INFLUENCE THE ELECTION. Everyone knows Trump is a womanizer we've known this since the 80s its baked into the cake, which is why he won despite the access Hollywood tape being blasted 24/7 on tv and his comments about Megan kelly and rosie O'Donnell. Convictions are now baked into the cake in 2024 cause everyone sees this is a political persecution and a conviction is only going to boost his numbers because americans oppose fundamental unfairness and they see it for what it is.

I think that I am just uncomfortable to see an American president accused and charged with a crime. I do think that Trump has broken the law but I hope that they can deliver justice and not send him to jail.
