The scene where firecracker received an applause after revealing that she did unspeakable things with a minor in my opinion was one of the few moments of subtle commentary during this season
Because that’s how it goes in real life. When a woman SA’s a boy, no one feels bad for the boy and even says that the boy needs to like it. That's an interesting question. Sister Sage's brain is capable of regenerating from head wounds that would either leave normal humans severely disabled or outright dead. She can come back from being lobotomized sure enough, but could her brain come back from being lasered by Homelander, assuming some brain tissue survived that is?
That is indeed an interesting question. Bc stabbing and being lasered are very different. You can heal from a stab almost completely. But a burn wound never heals right. She takes a laser to the brain even her healing factor can't help something that's been burned. And I bet she doesn't know the full extent of her healing. Bc she's never been hurt enough or brave enough to put a shotgun in her mouth and blow her head off.
We know Kimiko can survive head wounds now. Getting her head bashed in by A Train was one thing but she got her head literally smashed and she healed right up.@@Daldi564

unfun-fact: The firecracker scene where she admits to being a Pedometer may be a reference to a priest who was caught being pedometer at his church, confessing to it, and being cheered on by the crowd after his confession. This happened in real life.

People are saying that The Boys parodies "right wing" bit too much but it does not take a jab at "left wing". But honestly looking at america from outside of it, it still looks like Show takes a jab at both sides.
Like just not that long ago when ultra-conservative lawmaker was running with gun after a stripper he hired, it really sounds like something from The Boys universe(Or GTA Universe) but it happend for real. USA politics is fucked up on both sides, to the point that you can't make satire out of it, because no matter what twisted ideas you put in the movie, it becomes a documentary at some point.
They go after “right wing” more often. The showrunners admitted it themselves.
The issue with US politics is there are no actual left-wing people in any elected position in the federal government on any level. The platform and policy positions of what is nominally called "the left" in the US, the Democratic Party, would be considered a right-leaning centrist party in any other country in the world. American's two choices are a right-leaning party and a blatantly fascist party.

I agree, it doesnt paint the right or left in a good light. For instance, you have Firecracker representing the right with loud, outlandish and goofy statements, but then you have Starlight representing the left being easily goaded and manipulated right into Sister Sage's hands as she plays both sides to further her and Homelander's goal of crafting a kingdom for Ryan.
Vought’s phony attempts to look inclusive and “woke” have been made fun of for the entire show, A-Train even had an arc where he tried using BLM as a way to stay relevant

My guess is Sage is planning things 50 steps ahead for Homelander's downfall, because it's likely he's going to do something apocalyptic if not stopped
I think its a combo of that and a combo of fucking around because she's bored, she stayed off Homelander's radar but once he locked on she basically knew it was a countdown to her death at his hands unless shes smart and he gets it first
