Some of these snacks are still around though
Most of em.
Yeah...they were better off titling this as favorite snacks of the 90s and just mentioning the like, 3, that aren't around anymore.
Nothing but good memories...
"90s foods we want back" even though it's mostly "80s foods that are still around"
@@Gatorade69I should get some
80s and 90s, those decades bring most of the best things in the world.
Most are still around, thats some top notch research right there.
I know for a fact the Hubba Bubba tape still exists. Matpat made a gum video with it like 2 weeks ago.
@@ShadyRK9 I bought some last week. Still like to get them once in a while, but with the difference that I can not buy a month's supply if I want to.
They note this in the video
the gum i used to get was the one in the clear neon boxes that looked like a beeper/pager
We just don't want the 90s snacks back, but the 90s in general. I remember all of these, especially The Flintstones Nestle Push-up Pops and the Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape Gum.
Yes please
I like being alive though 😅
Hubba bubba tape gum still exists in Romania in every supermarket
Great food, great tv shows, great everything. Everyone actually went outside to play instead of sitting around on phones or tablets. Man I miss the 90s.
@@andranistor4630 And also here in the UK despite our best efforts to be awful at everything.
I remember almost all of those snacks. What I find fascinating about lookbacks at the 90s is how EXTREME everything is in the commercials. I don't remember the real world being quite like that when I was a kid.
everything was X-treme and rad
Surge!
Absolutely true
Push Ups were around in the 60s. I loved the orange ones
2:54 Fled Flintstone 😂 No quality control on these videos. Just post it and FEED the beast.
Dang.. you beat me to it. 😂
You don't know Fled Flinstone? Neighbor of Blarney and Bletty Blubble?
@@Silent_Lucidity😂
the owner of the channel just hires an editor, script writer and voice over people
The sonic pasta commercial is the reason I lost a tooth. My brother saw it and went to the cabinet, got a can of green beans, yelled my name, and then threw the can. I turned to see what he wanted, and got hit in the mouth with the can where it knocked out one of teeth. Lol. Thanks a lot brother.
Did it grow back?
@@BeyondDaX no. It was a permanent tooth. That was like 30 years ago. Lol
Even worse, its probably partly what created chris chan
"Snacks We Want Back" most aren't gone, but I wish Fled Flintstone was
That's Fred's criminal of a cousin.
Ok what’s the point of this if the majority of these snacks are still available today?
For nostalgia
Summer vacation as an elementary/middle school aged kid, staying with my cousins for weeks on end in the 90s was peak childhood.
The 90's Truly was a golden time!
It was the last decade where optimism for the future existed
90s truly was the golden age
You forgot that lunchables came with a mint candy. My mom worked at Oscar Myer back then and could bring home a case of the mints for a fraction of the price along with as many lunchables that we could eat.
A+ video!
LOVE IT! Legendary 90s snacks!
2:54 Fled Flintstone?
Fred is transitioning
So many memories!
I'm an early 80's kid, so I've never tried any of these products mentioned here, but I do recognize and remember a lot of them from their advertising.
When the title is about wanting them back.. but half of them are literally on the shelves right now. Good job weird foods
Planters P B Crisps!
There was a little period with these Totinos nacho rolls with the pizza roll outside shaped like Doritos 3Ds and filled with nacho cheese. I miss them dearly
Same
This made me think of Otter Pops and now I really want you to make a video about Otter Pops.
I didnt realize that we were wanting something back that never went away
Exactly what I was thinking. Most of the stuff on this list never went away
I was a kid growing up in the 1990s. I still love those Pizza Lunchables.
1. I can still taste most of these, even after years of eating them.
2. The majority of these "snacks" are just candy. I just remember back in those days, there was 1, 5, and 10 cent candy.
I only remember about a third of these... what a sheltered life I lived!
5:10 Those Lunchable Pizza Fun Packs are AMAZING!
What a nostalgia ride
Man, you guys REALLY kicked me in the nostalgia with this one. More like this please!
mexican here, i can confirm doritos 3d are still around
Really?! That’s so cool!
There’s nothing like taking a whole roll of bubble tape, and just taking a bite out of it 😂
Pizza and Hot Dog lunchables were something else, the elite of the elite for a lunch.
Ring pops are the best
I still get hubba bubba and push pops from time to time since i was in gradeschool.
I remember getting the small containers of 3D Doritos or Cheeto Asteroids for road trips in the summer.
Loved Kid Cuisine.
They were the best, now they just stink
Loved loved loved the Squeeze-its juice bottles! Nothing slaked the thirst quite like those on a hot summer day😊
I miss the BB’s so much. I remember being maybe 14 or 15 and constantly wondering why I couldn’t find them anymore. It drove me nuts. When I realized why I was very sad. They were a version of Butterfinger you could suck on and make last longer. They were also so less messy and didn’t get as stuck in your teeth bc of their smaller size so you had time to pick your teeth clean before eating more unlike the bar which gives one or two bites before they’re caked in the stuff and you cant chew.
Fled flinstone lol
I tasted the bubble gum tape and push pop tho
When i was younger :)
Watching brought back so many lost memories. The Ouch bubble gum, I thought it was so cool!
The toilet paper roll sherbet was an insane idea😂
my boss keeps a jar of small candy on the crew room table and stocked it once with warheads. I snacked on them throughout the day and thought they weren't as sour as I remembered as a kid but I got careless and ended up eating on that was CAKED in the sour powder. It actually burned the roof of my mouth and I couldn't stop laughing all morning.
OH MY GOD! SHARK BITES!!! I remember those. WOW! I'm so glad I found this video. I haven't heard of Shark Bites since the early '90s. Them lil' Push Up/Pops used to be so bomb. I only ate the pizza Lunchables. I didn't care for the others. You know what nobody remembers? Gobble Stix. I used to love them. Last one, Kraft string cheese. I'd go through a pack of string cheese like nobody's business.
omg I remember so many of these commercials... I never realized it was Sean Hayes in the Doritos 3D commercial!
I remember Orbitz drinks
Just watching that soft pink Bubble Tape with the white powdered sugar sweetly unspooling from its plastic case began my Pavlovian 90s kid taste-bud response. Conditioning is real.
Yes! I haven't had most of these things in years, but I remember EXACTLY how they tasted, especially the purple Bubble Tape
The Pocahontas ice cream cups will haunt me forever. They were so good.
In the 1990s the kids’ test of bravery & toughness was sticking your bottom teeth into the push pop & holding it there.
I miss the sharks. I can't find them in local stores, I should probably look online. Shame that they changed their flavors.
Squeezit went off mainstream market in 2001, i am in my early 30s and remember my mom banning them from our house when i was 5.
Squirt fights?
Seeing the warheads made my mouth water.
I am a 00s kid but I love the 90s and 80s snacks. The proper way to measure anything is with Hubba bubba tape. Also I ate so many war heads as a kid I was resistant to them.
Omg shark bites were awesome!!
Did anyone else's mouth start watering when the war heads came up or was that just me?
My kids are 8 and 6 and nearly every single thing, even "Flintstones push up" and "squeeze it's" are still sold today. In fact they ask for all of these all the time besides "string things", "sprinkle Spangle" and "Sonic spaghettios". The only things that we have a hard time finding but still exist, are "band aid gum", "butterfinger BBs" and 3D Doritos (Doritos puffs) but we have found them at the dollar store a few times. Fun fact, butterfinger did indeed mess with the recipe a few years ago and they are now disgusting.
Thanks for this! 🍿
I used a shit ton of that bubble tape. I used to mix it with nerds. Same with push pops and big league chew.
Honestly if they brought back the excellent commercials from the 90s and mid 2000s
Push pops and Kid Cuisine!!!! ❤
The Bugs Popsicles and Kid Cuisines. Sometimes I wish id wake up and the last 20 years were a dream and I passed out after soccer practice in a mac n cheese coma.
Wow I thought that sprinkle star cereal was a fever dream!
Damn near all of these are still around.
As an adult with a refined pallet, I still have pizza lunchables for dinner on a regular basis.
I remember eating a lot of these products as a kid
Shark Snacks and String Things!!! 🥰🥰🥰
I used to keep my weed in those hubba Bubba Band-Aid gum tins 😂
Shark bites and string thing were my jam
I miss planters pb crisps and sprinklins yogurt
1:12 Hubba Bubba gum was a hit in my hometown!
We had it all the time.
I got my tonsils out in 2000 and lived off Push Ups for half a week. I will always hold a soft spot for them. None of my usual grocers have carried them since a few years after the branding change. :(
Butterfinger BBs still exist. They come in movie theater style boxes now.
one 90`s (not 100% sure of the year) snack I miss are those chewing gum cylinders wrapped in a cigarette looking wrapper placed in a very realistic cigarette looking box, which even opened the same way from the top with a cartoon-ish camel design on it
And when you blew into it a cloud of powder came out
@@arthurlara4282 nope
When I was a kid they were filled with powdered sugar or something, everyone blew it out
@@arthurlara4282 must have been another more expensive version from a different brand then?
There was also a version made of (cheap) chocolate.
Bring back Butterfinger BBs
I swear, Kids Crusins needs to bring back the chicken drumsticks again. Since I miss that bad boy.
FYI: Hubba Bubba Chewing Tape, Push Pops, and Roll-Ups are still available here in Australia, and have been for decades.
I believe sweezit was discontinued in 2001 not 1991 because I probably wouldn’t remember them that much if I only was 6 years old when they stopped making them
I've had all of these except for Sonic pasta and the bug popsicles. I LOVED Sprinkle Spangle (tasted like sugar cookies), Push Ups and unfortunately ate Kid Cuisines regularly.
i forgot about sprinkle spangles. that stuff was really, really good.
My kids were 90s kids and I think I bought all of these at one time or another to keep them quiet! LOL!
It's Weird History Food Sunday once again, with another awesome video! It's cool to see these '80s & '90s videos, and hope there's more to come.
Would be cool to see a video on throwing an '80s/90s party if possible!
I second that.
I love both narrators
When I was a kid our warhead contest was who could hold one under their tongue the longest. I hit ten seconds. My go to was black cherry or watermelon.
A month ago I had some Hubba Bubba - they're 1,000% still around (in Florida).
And in Australia
I miss the powdered version
These snacks reminded me of school recess time...good ol' days
There's actually a new type of Kids Cuisine released not that long ago. It's a deluxe, slightly larger one which comes in 2 varieties. Dino Nuggets, and Mac & Cheese Bites.
I remember we use to sell Warheads at school and on the bus lol. That's a blast from the past 😊
Edit: I was at the gas station and came across Warhead soda😅
I love this ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yup this is my childhood here
Warheads are still around
Fled Flinstone :)
I remember that if you had Shark Bites in your lunch box, then you were rich and you knew it.
good video
2:53 think we wouldn't notice the slip-up of "Fled Flintstone"
In Australia you can still get Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape.
I ate every single one of these as a kid except the big pops.
The best part of these snacks are the zany ads they produced. Got to love the wide variety of wacky cartoon art styles utilized in them.
No love for PB Crisps? Those were life changing
Should have title this “90’s snacks we still want as adults”
Or even "90's snacks of which many are still available"
back in the 90's i used to filled those 3d doritos either with coke or ketchup, and that was my snack.
I’ve always wanted to try kid cuisines but lunchables nuggets kinda worked
