  • I've been looking for one of these for as long as I have had the inflatable - Combining the ease of launching a boat and the benefits of compact storage.

Great video that’s exactly what I’m looking for, like you say it adds to the versatility of the whole set up. Pity they went out of business. I’ve subbed 👍🏻

Great video and thank you for sharing! I agree with what has been shared in terms of amount of faff (learning some British terms!) vs reward/fun. ..... I am looking for small folding trailer for my sib. I camp towing a caravan (travel trailer in US) and want to take my Zodiac Classic Mark 1 when we camp for several days all over the Southwestern US. My Zodiac and HD alu floor are heavy, 68kilos combined). I need to be able to set up at campsite and trailer back and forth to launch ramp for daily use. For me it is well worth the extra effort having a portable folding trailer for camp use. Now, if it can also be used on the road/hwy for longer trips, say 300km (for use in ocean/lakes near home), even better!

I’m in a similar situation. I have a 20ft center console that I leave in a slip. It’s too much to trailer around. However, that means I am tied to the home port of the boat. So I bought a 11ft inflatable so I can easily take it elsewhere, but the inflation/deflation every time just takes the fun out. I am considering buying a trailer so that I can actually enjoy the inflatable.

the boat tends to stay on the trailer over the summer and then deflate at the end of the season. That works for me.

Thanks - its called the folding leisure trailer and sadly the company went out of business. I've tried getting in touch with them a load of times and no response. I am looking into having one made and the costs involved as I think they are awesome. I'll keep you posted with progress. It would need type approval etc. I'm towing it at the weekend to Devon so should be good to see how it performs.

Nice video, something I have been looking for, the question for me would be is it actually worth all the setup with the trailer as well? I guess it is if you plan on going camping and are taking the boat out for multiple days. At the moment I chuck it on the roof rack. - Ive subbed

Nice one dude - I agree - for one off trips it seems like a hassle - but its not that bad to set up and the ease at the other end makes it worth it. subbed likewise

Hi, what length is your inflatable?
There’s a company called bulldog folding trailers here in Australia, I think they have a eu distributer.
This vid is the first I’ve seen with the crossbars to support the tubes. Great setup.

Nice solution for times you want to keep it in smaller storage spaces! BTW, what air pump do you use to inflate your boat? I've tried a few ones for cars and mattresses, but either it doesn't work or not enough pressure to inflate it completely, but the one you used in this video looks promising!

Do you trust that on the road? God forbid driving on a motor way with it. I have a foldable trailer it fits in between m passenger seat and the dash weighs 20kg and love it. Nowhere nears as good as yours but I don’t think I would trust yours on the road. Ray K uk 🇬🇧 YNWA

Any luck getting these trailers made to sell in the United States ?

To me it wouldn't be, the rolled up boat, the motor/stand, floor pieces and everything else take up enough space and each one is heavy enough and hard to move without adding another heavy and awkward component to the mix. Its either roll up and put in the closet or get a boat with a trailer.

Thats a fair comment. it certainly is another thing to store and if your not careful the set up and storage takes longer to organise than the fun you end up having.

the company went bust and I bought 2nd hand. I have been looking at getting them manufactured but EU type approval is expensive and seemingly necessary as well!!
