    Something important missing in the video is, always have a line attached to the boat before placing it in the water as in this video, the boat can get away from you by wind or a passing boat's wake

      Thx for your comment! It’s one of those things that when you do it for the first time and the side rail that you’ve been wrestling with for the past hour just slots in you go - oh yea, why didnt i do that right away!!

    Got a 4.2m Tohatsu sib, luckily its permanently on a trailer but to increase the longevity of your boat deflate it when not in use to stop constant pressure on the seams.

    We had a Cobra 8.50 sailing boat and we always inflated our dinghy with a wooden floor on the coachroof without any problems. The “No Brainer” it to invest in 12 volt inflator pump, that takes all the hard work out of it.
    If you are only using for a day or so, then Yes! the solid floor may be a hassle but having
    used other inflatable’s with soggy floors I’d take a hard floor any day.

      Absolutely, the airdeck boats are a breeze to assemble comparatively, however, the heavy duty boat is a super tough thing once assembled, best for users who will leave it up for a few days at a time.

      @highamsimon  4 месяца назад

      You can order from any zodiac dealer - but it is expensive. We have quite a lot of Ali floor material that we can use to make a floor for you if you can give us your boat to take the template from

    My wife and I just spent hours trying to assemble our new Mercury Adventure 340 to no avail. Was so excited, but even following the (vague) instructions, the floor just would not lay flat. Has a hard plastic floor with H-channels between them. It was positively not going to work. Serious buyers remorse. One day until moose season. Going to see if the dealer can work through it with us. My buddy had an older Merc with the alloy floor, and it was waaaaaay easier than this thing. I'd say you have one of the better inflatable assembly videos out there, and even that didn't help. Open to suggestions. Thanks.

    • @josephmichalik5341

      I just got a Mercury 430 since my Sea Eagle 12.5 had its last breath. I must admit that the Sea Eagle was so so so much easier to setup since it is overall lighter and uses plastic floorboards which are easier to handle. When I started to assemble the 430, many words were coming out of my garage and I was also on the verge to quitting as it seemed near impossible to hold up the two heavy aluminum boards while fighting the tension from the boat. After seeing many videos which again didn't help, I found my own solution which you may want to try. The most difficult part was lifting the two floorboard and forming a tent which you then need to push down by standing on it. In order to make this feasible, I used a small bucket ( a pillow may be better ) and place this under one of the boards so it remained at an angle. I was then able to adjust the boat fabric and then bring the second board up so they meet and form the triangle. When that was complete, I removed the bucket and then pushed the boards down to completion. Again, everyone may have their own way, but after a number of hours of cursing at this thing, I think I now have a solution to the process.

      Hi chris, tubes and keel are 25kpa (just under 4psi), if you have an airdeck then that can be anywhere from 30kpa (for cheaper boats) up to 80kpa for top quality like our Seapro ;)

    Hi how is the quality of this engine ?

    • @highamsimon
      @highamsimon  5 лет назад +1

      They are a great little engine! Actually the day this video was made we had a boat test done by a boating magazine, the engine ran down the end of the lake, but was a little smoky, so we decided to come back, it just made it back to the pontoon before cutting out (about 1/2 hour in total). We checked to see what the problem was, and found that we had been running the engine on Diesel by accident!! And it ran on it for 1/2 hour!! Flushed it through with petrol and it started straight up and we were able to complete the test with no probs.
