In March 2017 William Crum was found guilty of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault causing severe bodily injury. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison for both charges.
The Captain I would like to say what I would do to him if I witnessed this or was a victim. However that would probably be in poor taste and would make me look almost as bad as him
Got to love that quote - "if he hadn't been breaking the law it wouldn't have happened." Well, how about if you didn't side swipe him it wouldn't have happened? Why does it matter to him that biker is over taking him when he shouldn't have been? would the car driver have been inconvenienced? What difference does it make to him? The car driver should just mind his own business!
Remember, at the end of the movie Easy Rider, those two yokels are passing the motorcycles in their pickup and they just randomly decide to shoot them with their shotgun? This was that scene in real life, and William Crum is, in every way, the personification of the yokels in that truck. He tried to kill them for no reason other than it amused him to do so. It wasn’t even road rage. It was just a psychopathic disdain for life combined with a sociopathic disdain for people. It’s a shame Crum wasn’t a much younger man and the judge didn’t give him a much longer sentence. While he may die in prison, I suspect a much longer life and a much longer sentence would be required to make him appreciate the gravity of what he did and to develop a modicum of remorse.
I would never intentionally hit a person. This morning, when I tried to change lanes there was a motorcycle in that lane, he beeped his horn and I did not hit him. If I had a chance to speak to him I would apologize. To do it intentionally is ridicules.
The idiot on the motorcycle needs to follow the law. That motorcycle could of caused a life threatening accident himself. I can understand that people get upset over idiot motorcycle drivers.
I am a rider and I always follow the speed limit, no more than five over and I can agree that he shouldn't have done that because of the risk doesn't outway the reward but motorcycles are not cars and can get up to passing speed in a split second and the road was flat enough to see ahead so it was safe enough for him but this jackass tries to murder him.
Yes, time to ban him from driving for life, after a good amount of jail time. Sure, the motorcyclist was in the wrong for crossing the double line and other offenses but you can't escalate vigilante justice, especially when you could kill someone.
Lol he complains about him breaking the law yet he almost killed him BREAKING the law. Mk good statement, if I were his judge I'd laugh and make his term longer.
Crum says: "If he hadn't been speeding it wouldn't have happened." Seriously, Mr. Crum, have you never heard the old saying "Two wrongs don't make a right,"? Your deliberate actions merit nothing less than second degree attempted murder. You're a menace and belong in prison, not in a car.
My full respect to all the guys that were at the place as it happened for their help and that they stayed calm... I dont know if wouldnt have put the old man to the ground. I would at least have put him down and layed onto him so that he couldnt run or atack again.. You never know with crazy people like that. God bless you guys stay safe out there
Good. Even if he gets out of prison early for good behavior. Which is not a guarantee seeing how obstinate he is, hopefully he won't be able to afford a car once back out.
Here's my question... Whether or not the biker is speeding, crossing the double-yellow or anything else illegal, what right does Crumb have to police the guy? I'm like anyone else. I don't like to see squids on superbikes running up and down the highway on just the back wheels. I don't like it when they blast past me at well over 100mph when we're in a 45 zone. Lane splitting is illegal in this state and it sticks in my craw when bikers blast past me in a traffic jam at 50mph faster than I'm going. BUT IT IS NOT MY PLACE TO STOP THEM! I am not a cop. I don't have the authority and I certainly have NOT been granted special permission from God. How is it that some people feel that they are entitled to take the law into their own hands like this?
As a biker myself, I don't condone the passing in the no pass zone. That being said, Crum could have killed them, and allowing the bike to pass would only have been maddening, not lethal. People drive like asshats all the time, and trying to avenge all the wrongs would leave few left unscathed. I hope the passenger on that bike comes out ok, and I'm glad I wasn't the one with the GoPro, as I might have beaten that old man to death in the heat of the moment...
There was literally no reason for him to have swerved left. Even if he was trying to turn into that sideroad, he was going much too fast and turned right as the biker was passing.
He crossed a double yellow to cause a catastrophic accident & that was not called for. Who does he think he is??? He should be just minding his own business & not trying to be a law enforcer, That job is for real men not senile people with a weird agenda.
This happened about 1 mile from my house. That asshole never did "get it" about what he did. He has done this to a few others too. I can happily tell you that he's sitting in the Texas big house right this minute due to this video.
I ride everyday and this is one of my biggest fears people get mad at us motorcyclists for doing things that they don't understand cause they don't ride luckily he had the go pro. I hope this shows all car drivers out there just how dangerous it is to "bump" a bike with your car. until you have ridden around on a bike you have no idea what it's like to not have a giant cage around you he almost murdered both of them and now she's in surgery all cause some guy compares hitting a motorcycle to crossing a double yellow.
I hate how people expect everyone else to be apologetic, sometimes people do things on purpose and they don't feel bad or care if the other person got hurt
Glad this guy is off the road and out of society. It is scary to see how people like Crum really believe they did absolutely nothing wrong. He had zero concern for the other guy and, IMHO, is just a sociopath. He has no remorse and is putting all the blame on the bike rider. Thanks goodness the two people on the bike didn't die but he could've easily been looking at manslaughter in that case, at the very least, or murder, which it should have been attempted murder.
The motorcyclist already had no license, he crossed the line literally and figuratively. YOU DO NOT GET AWAY WITH THAT IN TEXAS. Also Crum failed to signal, which makes the whole thing unbearable. This is AMERICA people, let's start following our laws!!!
He said "Well if he hadn't been breaking the law none of this would've ever happened" Doesn't that sound familiar????? I swear I've heard that somewhere before..... And every time I've heard that people overwhelmingly agree. So why not this time? Let me guess... "Oh, well that's different" is the response I'm gunna get :-/
Define "breaking the law". Are all laws broken as serious as each other? Is rape as serious as littering? Is murder as serious as double parking? Get real for once in your life.
actually if the driver of the car wouldn't of broken the law none of this would of happened. The motorcyclist, while breaking the law could of successfully passed the car if the DRIVER of the car wouldn't of broken the law.
Probably because it isn't his job to patrol the roads, and it most definitely isn't his job to punish someone for breaking the law. Ergo the jail jumpsuit.
Whilst I understand and agree with the comments about the car driver and I feel sorry that the pillion passenger was hurt badly, people are forgetting the bike rider did not have a valid bike license so shouldn't have been on the road in the first place.
This old man is plain evil if he don't go to jail for attempted murder he will kill when he gets a chance he needs about 20 years behind bars to keep people safe from his evil
nope. Regardless on if the driver was breaking the law or not, you shouldn't have hit his motorcycle period. Learn to control your anger and you wouldn't end up in jail.
For those wondering, he is now serving 15 years in jail for this.
In March 2017 William Crum was found guilty of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault causing severe bodily injury. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison for both charges.
FOX 4 News - Dallas-Fort Worth cool he will likely die in prison where he belongs
Good. He is a menace
The Captain I would like to say what I would do to him if I witnessed this or was a victim. However that would probably be in poor taste and would make me look almost as bad as him
Let the bikers know his crime, he might care then.
"I DON'T CARE"
Well, he's 68 and got 15 years for this so I think his driving days are over...thank god.
That dirt bag was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Will more than likely die there. Justice served
If he's not a crummy prisoner, he could get early release.
The victim chose his words carefully, He said the guy needs to be thrown underneath the jail, not inside it.
he is still stuck on the other guy. he should be in jail for the rest of his life he is a dangerous man
Got to love that quote - "if he hadn't been breaking the law it wouldn't have happened." Well, how about if you didn't side swipe him it wouldn't have happened? Why does it matter to him that biker is over taking him when he shouldn't have been? would the car driver have been inconvenienced? What difference does it make to him? The car driver should just mind his own business!
That's attempted murder. The poor girlfriend got the worst of it.
People like this old guy with his attitude are really scary! He needs to be in jail.
He needs to be in his grave.
Why waste jail space and tax payers money? Just treat that hunk of shit like a old nag and put him down.
Well he is already in jail as the video shown.
Juanita Sullivan he is locked up in prison for 20 years
no he need very very sever punishment
I would have punched the old guy at least once in the face.
Damn "I could care less" the second the judge hears that he's done.
Someone committing an infraction does not justify committing a felony.
How is that not considered 2 counts of ATTEMPTED MURDER?
Crum should be in jail for attempted murder.
Well he got 15 years which is pretty much the rest of his life at this point.
He should be UNDERNEATH the jail
Well, I guess he cares now... 15 years in prison!
Now he's got 15 years to think about it. At 69 years old he'll never be behind the wheel again. Good riddance.
Wear your gears guys. stay safe everyone
steve and don't ride like a douchebag! And get a license idiots!
The idiot on the motorcycle needs to follow the law. That motorcycle could of caused a life threatening accident himself. I can understand that people get upset over idiot motorcycle drivers.
The old man was wrong. The driver on the bike used poor judgement. Hit put the passenger in danger!
Attempted double vehicular homicide...old guy is insane.
Old Crum has a history it seems
Yes, time to ban him from driving for life, after a good amount of jail time. Sure, the motorcyclist was in the wrong for crossing the double line and other offenses but you can't escalate vigilante justice, especially when you could kill someone.
+SupaLexy (MotoLexy & SupaNautica) appears he does :)
SupaLexy CH2 what a crummy man
He'll learn when he serves time with the bikers. When they hear his story I'm sure it won't end good.
Lol he complains about him breaking the law yet he almost killed him BREAKING the law. Mk good statement, if I were his judge I'd laugh and make his term longer.
Clearly he is a Danger to Himself and Others.
Michael Murphy why are you making excuses for the none licensed no insurance douchebag rider who could have killed others?
that to me looked like attempted murder
That's attempted murder!
My full respect to all the guys that were at the place as it happened for their help and that they stayed calm... I dont know if wouldnt have put the old man to the ground. I would at least have put him down and layed onto him so that he couldnt run or atack again.. You never know with crazy people like that. God bless you guys stay safe out there
Omg he needs locking up for good
Just so everyone knows, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison a few days ago for this.
that cockroach is going to die in jail
awhiteguy24 ,not of old age
Eh, I don't care.
Why do people like this guy always sound like they are the offspring of two close relatives?
He's in prison now. GUILTY.
2:09 "If he hadn't of been breaking the law it wouldnt have happened" I disagree sir, if you hadn't tried to kill him, it wouldn't have happened.
Crum was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
At his age, he will never be a free man again
He was sentenced to 15 years for agrevated assualt with a deadly weapon this week.
This old man needs someone to go to his home and put him down
he got 15yr sentence that's pretty much a life sentence for a 68 year old.
Incident aside, protective gear would've made a huge difference in the injuries received.
The old criminal is a serious threat to the community.
20 years is justice served.
+Sire Onesixone Basically a deserved life sentence.
he got convicted?
20 or life, he tried to kill another human
Did he really get 20 years? I can't find anything on him :/
Sire Onesixone 25 to life sounds reasonable too but its all the same to that old crum, he wouldn't last 15.
The car driver should never be allowed to drive again and be charged with attempted murder x 2
C'mon folks, everyone knows if you cross the double yellow line it's perfectly legal for another driver to try and kill you.
15 years in prison for this.
Good. Even if he gets out of prison early for good behavior. Which is not a guarantee seeing how obstinate he is, hopefully he won't be able to afford a car once back out.
Brock Landers yeah for having no remorse
Here's my question... Whether or not the biker is speeding, crossing the double-yellow or anything else illegal, what right does Crumb have to police the guy?
I'm like anyone else. I don't like to see squids on superbikes running up and down the highway on just the back wheels. That's 2 counts of attempted murder!!!!
Yeah the dude was an idiot for crossing double yellow lines, but that doesn't give you a right to purposely hit somebody trying to be a vigilante.
I just can't believe that he doesn't even have the decency to apologise, I mean that's the least he could do
Put this guy in jail for good.
Jim Thompson He is in jail. With 2 felonies and possibly facing 40 yrs in
As a biker myself, I don't condone the passing in the no pass zone.
DUDE GOT 15 YEARS IN JAIL HAHAHAHAHAHA
That old man needs to be put out of his misery.
There was literally no reason for him to have swerved left. Even if he was trying to turn into that sideroad, he was going much too fast and turned right as the biker was passing.
did anyone see the irony of the guy who was driving the motorcycle was wearing a shirt that said "speeding ticket excuses"?
I bet he cares a bit more now - 15 years is a loooooooong time - probably all of his time
He crossed a double yellow to cause a catastrophic accident & that was not called for. Who does he think he is??? He should be just minding his own business & not trying to be a law enforcer, That job is for real men not senile people with a weird agenda.
"I could care less" at least he admits to caring some ...
never take risks when you are riding with a passenger.
this is why I always carry
"Oh no he crossed the double yellow line, that's breaking the law. Better cross the double yellow line myself and try to kill them." - American logic
At least he's off the road for good.
This happened about 1 mile from my house. That asshole never did "get it" about what he did. He has done this to a few others too. I can happily tell you that he's sitting in the Texas big house right this minute due to this video.
He wont be able to drive a wheelchair when he gets out.
If I was related to the victims I'd wait till he got out of jail, and send his unapologetic ass to the hospital with broken bones.
He's a psycho. No remorse at all. I wouldn't be surprised if he beats his wife.
The car driver should only ride only a moped.
k
Zhang Harry and what should the none licensed rider get for riding dangerously like a douchebag?
As an old bastard myself (also a biker) I think this senile old bastard needs to be taken into care for the rest of his natural life.
yes they crossed the double yellow line that doesn't give him the right try and murder the motorcyclist
..WTF ... This man is crazy
I hate how people expect everyone else to be apologetic, sometimes people do things on purpose and they don't feel bad or care if the other person got hurt
listen old man you are not the police....
"I could care less.." so you do care a little bit ?
For what it's worth, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Not enough for justice but enough to make him 'care' now.
Just an update: I read an article this past week where he was sentenced to 15 years in jail......where he should be!!!
I like how he said "I don't care" in the original video but now he is on national TV getting his are chewed.
there is something seriously wrong with him. Who acts like that
You're not from Texas are you?
The people of Texas want to kill people who they see breaking minor laws?
Glad this guy is off the road and out of society. It is scary to see how people like Crum really believe they did absolutely nothing wrong. He had zero concern for the other guy and, IMHO, is just a sociopath. He has no remorse and is putting all the blame on the bike rider. Thanks goodness the two people on the bike didn't die but he could've easily been looking at manslaughter in that case, at the very least, or murder, which it should have been attempted murder.
SUSPENDED THEIR DRIVERS LICENSE ,AND GIVEN TO HEM BIGGEST TICKET AND TIME JAIL
The motorcyclist already had no license, he crossed the line literally and figuratively. YOU DO NOT GET AWAY WITH THAT IN TEXAS. Also Crum failed to signal, which makes the whole thing unbearable. This is AMERICA people, let's start following our laws!!!
had the same thing happen to me but i was riding alone and was able to avoid a collision thankfully!
He tried to kills two 13th years old boys a while ago with his car...
This old man needs to stay longer in jail!
His hate will kill him. He will die in prison. He will blame everyone else and show no remorse. He's like Trump - a psychopath.
UPDATE - He got 15 years of jail time for this
Thank god they had helmets
Dearest Karma please pay Mr Krum a visit and let loose
He said "Well if he hadn't been breaking the law none of this would've ever happened"
Doesn't that sound familiar????? I swear I've heard that somewhere before..... And every time I've heard that people overwhelmingly agree. So why not this time?

Define "breaking the law". Are all laws broken as serious as each other? Is rape as serious as littering? Is murder as serious as double parking?
Get real for once in your life.
Are you suggesting this is the motorcyclist's fault?
actually if the driver of the car wouldn't of broken the law none of this would of happened. The motorcyclist, while breaking the law could of successfully passed the car if the DRIVER of the car wouldn't of broken the law.
Haha! It is different....
Probably because it isn't his job to patrol the roads, and it most definitely isn't his job to punish someone for breaking the law. Ergo the jail jumpsuit.
For sure this is attempted murder with a motorized vehicle
I saw this and that guy in the car did it on purpose, he got what he deserved time in prison thats great to hear!!
Yo! There are a lot of people in our society that doesn't respect life.
"If he hadn't broken a little traffic violation that didn't even matter in the specific scenario, I wouldn't have had to attempt murder Derrrr"
Whilst I understand and agree with the comments about the car driver and I feel sorry that the pillion passenger was hurt badly, people are forgetting the bike rider did not have a valid bike license so shouldn't have been on the road in the first place.
"why I could care less at this moment" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This old man is plain evil if he don't go to jail for attempted murder he will kill when he gets a chance he needs about 20 years behind bars to keep people safe from his evil
So if you go 10 mph everybody gotta go 10 mph behind you because there's a double yellow?
nope. Regardless on if the driver was breaking the law or not, you shouldn't have hit his motorcycle period. Learn to control your anger and you wouldn't end up in jail.
Well there both at fault, hipster was speeding and passing illegally and the crazy fed up guy is well crazy!
looks like a no passing zone to me.
2:28
looks like he dressed up for the interview.
i hope he gets his commisary taken in jail.
Crum was convicted on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and sentenced to 15 years in prison.
can't believe people act like that, this man should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law
