People can be so hateful can't they? Ignore them, pronounce the words however you do and if they don't like it they can leave and go bother someone else. Thank you for showing us so much and giving so freely of your knowledge and experience. You are the BEST.
Ignore nasty, bitter people. For me personally, I say "thank you" for helping me and others through this difficult time. You and other crafters have helped fill many lonely hours with beautiful tutorials and beautiful ideas to motivate those of us having a difficult time of it. So ... ignore THEM. And thank you again.
I say Modge Podge, too. Don't know why, but if I do it and you do it, there must be an explanation so don't feel bad and don't apologize for it. Thank you for your very helpful video!
I love this SOO MUCH!! The old video was how I found you initially!! Those pics are precious! Thank you for all of the amazing tutorials you do! And anyone who gave you hateful comments, well they are just hateful and we won’t give them any attention (bc that’s all they want!) You Rock Crystal Ann!!☮️💗
I saw your original video and that's why I followed you. I don't care about pronunciations as I'm an Army brat and have heard people saying Adesive, not adhesive, acrost, not across, ok, I can cringe at that but you can cringe at mine. I don't do nasty. I am so grateful for all of you who put yourself out there and take the time to give us great ideas at your expense! So pound sand to the haters. Love you ChrystalAnn!!!!
I loved the earlier video. It was the first one I came upon when I decided to try my hand at this. I watched it, saved it, recommended it. I've done this more than a few times now. I'm glad you've made this new video. I'm going to save this one as well. And as an aside... don't let the haters get you down!!!
Thank you for taking the time to make this training video. It has been very helpful. I have used transfer paper and outlined pictures on wood, then burn them in, but this is the first time I have seen this system. Very impressive.
New subscriber from Australia. I love your video. I’m going to try photos to wood and I’m going to print some other things out and have them reversed and make some signs, I hope they work for me. Can only try. I did enjoy your video though. I’m going to binge watch a few if I get the chance so I can catch up a little with your videos. TFS Crystal. Looking forward to more of your videos.
I can’t understand why people were more worried about the way you pronounced it.. verses taking in the informative video... sighs.. girl you killed it! ❤️
Wow! Didn't know you could do this with inkjet. I love the vintage look. I would just reverse the image so she does not look like she's wearing her ring on the wrong finger.
Don't know if this helps comments so old but I've used my inkjet printer with actual photo paper and used the same process. and all my pictures came out beautiful! Have a nice day 😊
Big tip: I use foam pieces for so much and especially sealing something because it never streaks. I often use it for painting too. Depends what it is. I’ve used it for 30 yrs. Love it. Just dip it or squeeze a little on project and thinned out a little in the bottle if too thick. Then dab it all over and voila no streaks!
I still trying to do best because in Canada so expensive things now I spend so much money on these things and I am so excited when I do welldon it make me happy 😊 than
I'm going to do an experiment trying it with tissue paper because I do that when transferring images to candles. And you said the thinnest paper you can use so let's see if it works!
Thanks for being so clear and specific about things like the paper and printer's! Very helpful:) I'm planning on transferring a photo onto a box that'll be used to hold dice. I want to use a sealer that'll have a good hand-feel, since it'll be touched from time to time. I've seen the Krylon sprays in stores, would those be good to use? Or do they tend to feel strange?
I love your video. Don't worry about the people who complain about the way you pronounce mod podge. I don't understand why people watch a video and complain. If they don't like it, don't watch it
Thank you for an excellent explanation of how to do this project. Could you please let me know, for an antique look what is better to use - colour or black and white picture print? Thanks
I love your work and your explanations with FAQs. Thank you!! I was afraid to peel off the paper and take a part of a face off. Lol. So I left the photo face up. Do you know if I can put wet objects on the photo (as they are coasters)? I used multiple layers of Modge Podge.

When I see someone taking the time to put out a video, I'm so happy. No one is really correct in pronunciation. I'm over it. Go get a life ignorant haters. Love you ChrystalAnn!

If you would’ve used a laser printer all that ink wouldn’t have done that. If you need to use inkjet, you need to put some spray adhesive on it vand then bake at 175-200 degrees for 15-20 min. Then mod poster to wood. Let dry without heat gun. Then wet and rub. The outcome will be wayyyyyyyy better.
Im going to try this for the first time but i dont have a printer so im thinking of printing from walgreens which is by my house. Walgreens gave me two paper printing options, gloss or matte. I dont think i can use gloss for this, do u recommend matte paper?
I used the regular matte Mod podge and regular pictures printed from Wal-mart. It took just a little bit longer to take off the paper. I had to use an exacto knife and peel off the first layer, then wet the actual ppaer down. Next I slow peeled the rest of the photo up the picture looked milky. I took a wet rag and rubbed it off a couple of times and the milky look went away and then the photo crack for more of an antique look. Do you have any suggestions about the milkey look? Did we use too much mod podge? Never the less they turn out good for what we are doing and the color wasn't after washing them off.
Have you tried this type of transfer on leather. Were there any tips to make it turn out bestIf not I'm gonna do a test on a scrap I guess. Just wanted to check to save my leather
Many thanks ! Can a laser printer be used ? How soon after the image has been printed can you coat it ? Is it better for the printed picture to dry for hours or days ?
Hi , if you wanted the colour of the picture to stay on the wood could you paint the wood white first, and to seal the wood after can you use clear wood varnish?
She's saying she's recommending to use an inkjet printer rather than a laser printer. But she also has done it both ways and it worked. You may have to just try and see if it works for you with your type of printer.
@@chrinamint I’ve done this project a number of times. The number one rule on photo transfers onto wood is using laser paper. I wouldn’t recommend copy paper.
I have a couple questions. You said in your video that you scale your copied picture to 55% , but didn't say from what original size you're scaling it from. I'm assuming you started with an 8 X 10 photo ? Are you scaling it down right on your printer or are you scanning it to your computer , saving it, and then using a program such as Paint or PhotoShop to scale it down to 55% to save it resized and print with ? I would think that your scale down percentage depends on how big you you want it to be, or, the wood size you are going to use. Is this correct ? Of course 8 1/2" by 11" is the standard size of printer paper . Also: Have you tried using a spray can of Mod Podge for the initial coat on the picture, making sure you spray it with a good coat, then applying the picture to the wood ? Then by using the spray can again for your final finish coat, might eliminate the streaks that you end up with from using a foam brush for applying the Mod Podge. You can spray as many final coats as you want . Have you tried it ?
A good thing too would maybe be to change the water once you have most of the paper off. Otherwise you are taking paper from the dirty water and rubbing it back on as you are trying to rub the remainder paper pieces off of the wood.
Dishwasher modpodge is very costly can we use other one bcs I tried with other the pictures on wood is turning white please tell me where I m going wrong
I notice you are using color copies but the transfers seem to be black-and-white white ??????? Also can you use a epoxy finish over them after you put the 2nd coat of mod podge on them
Help?! 😞 Bought a laser jet printer a few days ago, and the ink smears so badly when I brush on the mod podge that I'm considering returning the printer. I've tried several different things including just printing one color and applying it to the wood anyway, but the smeared ink ruins it. I'm thinking it's a good thing I scanned my Walmart receipt?

Is there a reason why you coat the photo rather than the wood? Seems like there would be less/no ink smearing if the wood was coated.
I have done it both ways
Great presentation
Wonderful video/tutorial. I was wondering if you can do this with a black and white or sephia photo? Tfs and God Bless 💕

Yes you can
Very good presentation. I did my picture and had white left. My question is should I do the last coat with the same type of mod podge.
Yes
