    Kind of trying to figure out what I should do. I graduated with an IT degree in 2008 (associates) Did a internship as a help desk in 2012 for about a year and have not worked in the field for about 10-11 years. Buddy of mine got me a job interview for help desk, remote and mostly working with tickets/ answering phone calls. Wondering which path I should take to get a refresher since back in 2012 we did not have windows 10 yet. Any help would be appreciated.

      @@patient0x The google course is a good and affordable option to learn all the things you need to know in IT. If you have a bigger budget and want a job focused course, the course careers one can be a good choice

    Hello there I am pretty new to IT and the coursecareers method seems to peak my interest, does the CourseCareers Method still work now in November?

      Hey, what's up! I finished the course a month or two ago and it's very practical and will guide you in getting a job while also teaching you the basics of IT. If you're looking for a deep dive into IT concepts, the Google course might be better. But if you strictly want a bootcamp style course that will teach you the basics enough to do a help desk job and guide you on getting that job then Coursecareers is a good option.

    I have a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and minor in Computer Science and want to pivot to CyberSecurity.
    What should i do?

      @Jamesytech22  Месяц назад +1

      Do you have any technical experience? I would assume you know some fundamentals of IT with a minor in CS. If you want to freshen up on IT fundamentals the Google course is not a bad option. If you want a certification, the CompTIA A+ is something worth looking into. Even if it's just trying a few practice tests online.

      @@Jamesytech22 I was thinking of going to a Cybersecurity Bootcamp, which will help freshen up my IT knowledge and gain some experience, and after that focus on getting certifications. Is that a good plan?

    • @Jamesytech22

      @@resean2727 For sure that's not a bad idea. You should get some projects from the BootCamp to help leverage yourself past what certifications will offer.
