Immediately clicked when I saw it was your video, I often wonder how you feel about the fact that a sizeable chunk of your audience first started watching for your lamps and wood burning stoves and fireplace and other off the grid things, but I for one also subscribed because I love hearing your "story" and your experiences❤
Thank you! This means a lot to me because I know I talk a lot. I had to block someone today because they was mad because I talked to much. I don’t like to do that but I also don’t let negativity in my life. I’m very happy you like the explanations.
@@logcabinlifestyleI'm sorry to hear that, I can never understand how a person could do something as rude as that, it's simple enough to just walk away from something he or she dislikes, why go through the trouble of saying such negative things. I like listening to long talks, makes me feel less alone while I'm doing chores, or while I knit
Hey, Jerry, thank you for the video and the beautiful variety of light Giving lamps And for loving our savior Jesus Christ. The Kingdom of God. Has a variety of different looking. Warriors, but we all are carrying the same light. We shine in the darkness to those needing life. God bless you brother till next time, Hallelujah and Amen.❤❤❤
The one you made from the leftover wood would be really cool mounted next to the bed and maybe used to set a book on as a nightstand 😊🌿🕊 Love all of the lamps ~ beautiful
I actually just finished watching the rest of your video.... and your message “being the Light” couldn’t have been more timely tonight. It’s amazing how The good Lord works just like that!!! Thank YOU,Jerry!!! 📖✨✝️✨😊🌿🕊
I love your videos Jerry. I admire how you are living your life. I also love how you cherish your mother. I took care of my mother for about 7 years. She would have loved all you talk about.
You are truly wonderful...thank you for your magical stories of the past brought forward. Breathing life once again into everything just waiting to shine proves life never fails to Rekindle & doesn’t really end.
Thanks for the great video, I would love to have an angle lamp now! I appreciate your quote from the Bible that we are the light of the world and like a lamp we aren't put under a basket. You are definitely like that and thanks for sharing it!
Great content, Jerry! The graphic inserts were so helpful. Love those lamps. Your words at the end were the best, especially flinging open the windows... to receive from the Holy Spirit. 🙏🏻❤️
I collected lamps on and off for years finding most online, some in antique stores, i thought I knew lamps. Ive never seen this type of lamp, now i need to have one, thanks for sharing this with us, very interesting. They look nice in your home. Also thanks for the bible verse.
Hello Jerry another informative video . I very much think you should publish book on your cabin life . With your knowledge experience and ease of illustra
Great video just love you're lamps. I enjoy at night using my oil lamps. Gives a nice cozy feeling at night. And it also helps to warm my place especially my Aladdin lamp. I think some of my friends think I'm crazy using them but oh well my animals don't care lol
They are gorgeous and very useful with no under shadow. Thank you for the demonstration. My family in the past were antiquer's and had never seen those types.
The angle lamps had a use even after the introduction of home electricity. Ours was used on a ship owned by my husband’s great grandfather. It sailed to the various outports of Newfoundland delivering goods to the small fishing villages.
Thank you for the video, I had never seen an angle parrafin lamp like those. I don't believe they were easily available in Europe. I have quite a few old Paraffin lamps, many were used in this house when I was a child in the early fifties before electricity arrived here. I was surprised that you were able to turn up the wick to high brightness before the lamp had warmed. I was always told as a child that you could easily break the glass chimney by the bottom being very hot before the top warmed up, differential heating. I also still have but not working a carbide cycle lamp which gave better light than the dyno hub generator or even a Miller tyre (tire) rim dynamo. I had put a double burner in to it which cracked the glass but I used it for many years like that. Carbide can no longer be bought here in Ireland.
I found your RUclips channel, about a week and half ago and I have become a big fan of yours. I find all of the things that you do extremely interesting. Your cabin is amazing! Kudos to you! I subscribed to your channel and I have basically been binge-watching episodes. I am close to your age, I was born 11/12/1970. Your fireplace caught my eye the first episode I watched. There is a movie called The Last of the Mohicans, it is based on the book of the same name by James Fenimore Cooper. It is a fictional book about the French and Indian War (1757) and is set primarily in the area of Lake George, NY, which is a 1 hour drive from where I grew up in Gloversville, NY. In the beginning of the movie, the three main characters, Hawkeye, Chingachgook and Uncas visit some friends, who are settlers in upstate NY. Their fireplace has almost to a T, the fireplace crane you have installed in your fireplace. If you haven't already read the book, it is a wonderful read and the movie actually does pretty well also. I love about 8 hours south of you in Blacksburg SC. I am contemplating a trip to Lisbon OH, for the Johnny Appleseed Festival, I would like to meet you in person and shake your hand. You seem so down to earth and you have a very calming demeanor. I have found your channel to ease my mind. I am a Navy Veteran of Desert Shield and I believe Jesus Christ is my savior and I love that you have a good relationship with God!
Thank you my friend! Your words are all so humbling to me. If you happen to make that drive come on Friday evening before the festival starts so we will have time to chat. I’ll be downtown then.
@@logcabinlifestyle Thank you for your reply. That would be wonderful! You have every right to be proud of what you have accomplished. I understand that you are a humble man and that is one of the things that I enjoy so much watching your channel! You and I have very similar values and I believe if we met, we would get along great. I think what you are doing with your RUclips channel is a service to many people. I will continue to watch episodes and thank you for sharing.
@@logcabinlifestyle You are very welcome Sir. I am curious, are you familiar with the book I spoke of, The Last of the Mohicans? It is from a time in American History, that you seem to have a great interest in.
They are very different to find. About the only place I have seen them is on eBay but be careful because some of the aftermarket stuff doesn’t fit right.
More folks need to see your videos. I love the cabin, hard work, history lessons, and how you welcome us along in your journey. You're an awesome man!
Thank you for your kind words. In time I’m sure more will find the channel. It does take time.

Fascinating!
having biogas lamp in your cabin is a good idea,no need for electricity for lighting.
Love the old lamps.

I have heard of it but not read it. Reading is my biggest struggle. Or I guess I could say not one of my gifts.
I am a new subscriber. I cannot wait to see all of your video
Nice Film... 👍🇺🇲❤️🇩🇪
Cool
Way cool!
It's been a month I wait with anticipation....😂
Watching tomorrow... Here in Germany it is time to Go sleep🇩🇪❤️🇺🇲
Sleep well my friend
I think not a lot of people think " heat and light" They only think light.
Your right. The add clamps they don’t put off I lot of heat but they really do.
@@logcabinlifestyle Will you or do you keep a few burning while you sleep? Or is that a no no?
I love lamp.
Nice
❤️
The glass on those angle lamps is worth a fortune. I recently bought a double burner and can’t afford the chimneys.
You also have to be careful of the after market stuff because it’s junk!! I learned that the hard way.
I am in the process of getting a single angle lamp right now. Where can I find globes? And Chimney for it
They are very different to find. About the only place I have seen them is on eBay but be careful because some of the aftermarket stuff doesn’t fit right.
What type of oil is used? If kerosene, and they say no smell, that's a miracle. It gives me instant headaches!
Beautiful light from them, though.
They say no smell but I’m with you. I can’t use it either. However if I use the fireplace at the same time it does help. I use paraffin oil mostly.
"I LOVE THE SMELL OF KEROSENE IN THE MORNING..... IT SMELLS LIKE .......LIGHT !!!!
