No other course like it.Played it once,3 putted 9 greens, not going back.
Now the Championship course, that’s another matter - simply Macranificent !!!
I can imagine
As always Andy, this is another venue on your ferry trip that did not disappoint! All of these venues have captured my heart and just made me even more determined to "cross the pond" and play as many "out of the way" venues as possible!
Truly a Big Thanks to you for what you are doing in this series and a big Thumbs Up to your better half for her outstanding cinematography!
Always applaud your own shots Andy 👏👏☝️😆 well done again pal stunning views and course will think about taking the camper van up there and play 😎✊ Diolch 👍
I am English but my family are from Camble Town! I played there when I was about 11 it was amazing and got me hooked on my love of golf courses, not just golf. The 1st hole is stunning!!!
I bet it hasnt changed much!
Running out of words watching these...🏌️
Glad you keep watching Mel
We played both courses (each twice) 3 years ago this week. Everything was so green and lush with rain on 2 days. Spent four nights at the lodge - what great accommodations! One of my favorite corners of the world.
100%. The more I think about it, the better it gets. Thanks for the video. Takes me back to April and some serious stormy weather on the course.
Well done Young Lad
Played the machrihanish double in June, (old course and the dunes) stunning courses but not for the faint hearted or those wild from the tee! Was good to actually get to see the dunes, when we played the mist had came in and could barely see. Great video
Totally agree, and yes looked lovely on the day
Great vlog. You are right the greens are like the Himalayas at St Andrews. Great course would like to give it a go. thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Stunning, simply stunning. I would imagine that when there is a bit of wind that course would be thoroughly evil
Great point. Wind is always a formidable defense for any course but especially the links-style along the coast like this one. And, as Andy said, if you get on the wrong side of the putting, I can see a healthy dose of 3-putts+ happening. Gorgeous place, though. Bucket List for sure!
Machrie Andy cracking looking course your playing
Machrie next yes
Andy Andy love the mini series great video work , o and some lovely golf shots👏👏👍
As usual my Sunday has been completed by watching your Ferry Series, look forward to next Sunday, always love the drone shots. Looks hard and firm out there with the dry fairways.
Thank you Dave
Just beautiful! So jealous Andy. Hoping I can make it over here some day!
Another suberb video Andy in the series, what a fantastic looking Golf course. Can't wait for the next episode cheers Peter
This is a lovely series. With the rise in 9-Hole courses (par4 and par5 varieties), you should do a tour exploring some of these. There seem to be more 9 hole courses near me than 18 hole courses and I'm pretty much in the heartland of Scottish Golf!
Yes I like 9 holes, perfect
Andy, another great course clog, I’ve said before I think the quality of the filing certainly enhances what you’re doing. Great views, great course and what more can you say about Scotland. Exceptional.
It appears Andy that there are stunning views from almost every part of the course. Knowing you as I do, it's not at all surprising to see that you always offer your viewers very balanced reviews of the courses you play. This particular course in my opinion looks to provide visitors with a wonderful experience. Your game looks in good shape too which always helps!
Another great course and video
Really enjoying the series, beautiful scenery (and camera work) - and some more courses to be added to the wish list
Absolutely spectacular course! Added to my bucket list!
no more average golfer. that looked like a sub par round. very impressive short game!!
nice video, I (miracolously) drove that first green to about 4ft and missed the eagle putt. Great course and old machrihanish is just as special. hope u played that too
The one point about the marker posts is to check which tee they are based on. When I played at Mach Dunes, I hit a dead straight drive at a post on one hole (I can't remember which) then struggled to find the ball until I realised the marker post was for the white tee and I played off the yellow, which was well left of the white to MP line.
You will be off to Islay next - which I hope to play next year, so I look forward to next Sundays vlog.
Pity you didn't mention Machrihanish GC, Dunaverty and Carradale. They are all well worth playing in that area. Carradale was a surprise to me but Machrihanish was my favourite. Maybe next time .
This series is absolutely magnificent. Thank you!☺☺
It’s looking very dry, was very green in May.
Great course.
Bone dry and very hot
Three great courses down there - Dunes, Machrihanish and Dunaverty. Long drive down .... so play all three. Front nine at Machrihanish one of the best in Scotland (would someone redesign the finish!) Southend must not be missed - short and subime fun.
Stunning course.
Islay and the Machrie next week?
Loving the series . . . . may try this one out 😉 . . . . we need ‘bucket list golf’ for the average golfers . . . . what are your top 10 (or more) courses? . . . . I will play them 😉
Keeps getting better! A golfing paradise. Are you going to list any details like cost per round, where to stay, travel etc on your website? Would be interesting and helpful for those of us now dreaming of following in your footsteps. Thanks!
Yes we will be doing this over the Winter
That'll be Islay then coming up? My Granny was from there, great Uncle was the Islands blacksmith back in the day
Were there two of you(u)s, day tripping, yesterday, recording this so I could watch it? I'll let The Beatles references be, and thank you both once again for your joint efforts.
Good video Andy Mac Dunes is good but prefer Mac Old the original links.
Looking forward to last in this series...and hope its Machrie on Islay.⛳⛳
It is the Machrie Ian
The Machrie Links look pretty special. Really looking forward to next vid.
Played it soon after it opened and promised to return when it had matured a little. Unfortunately when I did it was in very poor condition, the greens in particular.
For me, Machrihanish Golf Club is a league above the Mach Dunes. Stunning part of the world none-the-less!
You're more-or-less taking the trip I've plotted out for myself as a potential itinerary for next year, although I'm hoping to also do Machrihanish Old and Dunaverty before leaving Campbeltown. I assume Islay for The Machrie next?
Sounds a plan and yes Machrie to finish
Next stop... Islay.
Excellent series, but from a pedant's point of view, you were on Kintyre. The Mull of Kintyre is only the actual headland at the southern tip of the peninsula.
Campbelltown!
Sure was!
Askernish next up ?
Playing the 4bbb open next weekend ..whats the rough like ?
When did you play there? The course looks very burnt. 😢
You need a periscope on that course
Would help at times!
Never, and I mean never ever, bring the Speedos!
Agreed!
💪💪💪👍👍👍
Cheers Craig
Machrie?
Next up
Can't wait brother
Random question did anyone actually win the clubs from this vid? ruclips.net/video/U6mdeYYA1BU/видео.html
Poo
You actually posted that?
