It would be jaw dropping to watch your series in an IMAX movie theater. The scenic views of the ferry trip courses are the best. Your a fine ambassador for Scottish golf. To be honest, I'm a bit envious of the charmed life you share through the camera. Please keep the magic coming every Sunday.
I adore this video and I'd like to tell you my reasons. This is the purpose, in my opinion, of playing golf. You tee off on the first hole and you see how many shots you need to make it around until the final hole, not to shoot a bazillion under par or to measure yourself against par (an arbitrary number) but just how many shots it takes you. (a side note - one of the reasons I love The Open and the strokes total instead of relation to "par") A person also takes time to enjoy just being where you are, looking around, and hitting a little ball around some grass and remembering that you're doing it for the challenge but also for fun, it's not working in a salt mine. I'm a single-digit handicap, live in Florida, get to play some really nice golf courses, but I find myself gravitating to more experiences like you've had here, remembering why I play the game and finding the joy/zen in just playing golf without all of the extraneous stuff that goes with it like course condition perfection, ego tied to score, alpha-male money games, etc., play because you love the game. I really enjoyed this video.
Bang on Todd, it’s you V the course. If with good company what’s not to like you can score badly but be hitting the ball well, likewise can fluke a shot and it nearly goes in. Who really cares, enjoy what can be a piece of haven away from the bustle of life. Sadly there are too many even on you tube who moan a players short is not tucked in, hat worn the wrong way. When I started playing again my irons are over 30 years old, Wilson’s, my woods are woods even older as bought 2nd hand, my trolly a simple pull/ push one that was less than £30 /$40 30 years ago. I got looks from others as there are those who think you need to have all the gear otherwise your not a proper player. I enjoy the walk, the serenity, the views. I can often be the only person on the 9 holes I am playing ( the course has 5 x 9 hole layout) I don’t have to wait I don’t have to rush, bliss
Links golf is great and what a nice course to practice your mid range golf game, and hit off tight lies and love the blind shots, you are leading the golf life, always enjoy my Sunday watching your golf video and the interesting places you and your wife go to. She does great camera and drone flying with the overhead shots, I would probably crash the drone on takeoff.
The only drawback I can see is blind shots, dislike these as if a bit wild then it can be a guessing game, but also the course as Andy played it how much run was there? Have been to Arran many years ago loved it.
Great video Andy. Shiskine is a good track and Brodick GC provides a good back up and if you play in high summer cando both in day. Look forward to next week video already.⛳
A great video . I loved every minute of my day at Shiskine. I would love to go back and play under those conditions. Looking forward to next weeks video
My home away from home. This is the course I learned to play golf on. You were very lucky not to have thr wind on the first. Makes it a much harder course. Good video.
How is this beautiful piece of real estate uninhabited to the point where, on a clear day, you can go out, play a relaxed round of golf, shoot a video of it, and have no one around to bother you. Didn't think places like this existed anymore.
Cracking little tricky course , must have had better weather ( course very dry ) than we have had in the east ☔️ last few months . Definitely now how to find them Andy 👍
Big TV subwoofer highest definition and a warm coffee! The relaxing music, cinematic imagery and good does of imagination. I am always were i wish I was! From above the fields are gold(en)! Hidden gems and ferry golf, worht making the effort to watch on the big screen.
Great video - reminds me of many games there in my youth. 4th hole is very different with a strong wind from the right. On the tee you are sheltered, but when the ball gets past the rocks it turns sharp left.
Amazing views and I hope you got to the distillery for a dram or two, best part of Scotland besides the amazing golf. Damn covid has cancelled our trips
Another great video Andy, always a pleasure to see and hear how much pleasure you get from your surroundings, the score is secondary. One thing I would add, is I wished every you tuber Started to promote a repair 1+2 on pitch marks eg yours plus two more , if we all did this the greens would be pitch mark free within a week. I often can repair 8-9 pitch marks per green , drives me mad.
Another cracking video. Hope Ayrshire and Arran tourist board have given you a good bung !£ lol. The only thing you've missed out telling the public about is the Arran golf pass - £120, 7 courses and can be used within a year, don't think anywhere else can beat that for value 🤔
I hope you manage to get to Oban and play Glencruitten Home of Bob McIntyre it is certainly underrated of the most beautiful courses in Scotland it’s a hidden gem. Oban is a beautiful place to visit
Loved the video, but just some advice if you don't mind. You need to work on the volume leveling a little. Man it went from having to turn up the volume to hear you talk, to some very loud music. Made is a little hard to enjoy. Still interesting golf course and thanks for sharing.
Some courses have an almost mystical feel to them, this is definitely one of them. Anyone who moans about burnt fairways doesn’t understand links golf,a personal big bear of mine is when the water the Open venue fairways. & I’m sure the pro’s would rather burnt fairways too,at least the ones that can shape their shots to the weather/wind conditions
Andy,
Shiskine could very well be where "The Good Lord" goes when he wants to get in a quick round, what a venue!
He would enjoy it 😂

Very flattered Michael

Looking forward to next Sunday.
Made for a great trip and we move on again!
Great video Andy, and what a stunning location, but definately a fair weather course.
Yes the wind would make it a different beast
The only drawback I can see is blind shots, dislike these as if a bit wild then it can be a guessing game, but also the course as Andy played it how much run was there? Have been to Arran many years ago loved it.
Stunning views love you to play it one windy day Andy looks amazing
Different course with a breeze
Sublime, serene, stupendous. To quote someone we know, “That’s me done!”

It exists and seems a world away from reality which makes it so special
Cracking little tricky course , must have had better weather ( course very dry ) than we have had in the east ☔️ last few months . Definitely now how to find them Andy 👍
Another amazing video Andy , long may you keep playing and filming great content , thank you for all your effort

Great video Andy. Hoping you are heading next to Islay and The Machrie

Hi Andy
Great video, did you manage to play any other courses on Arran?
Corrie is a great little 9 hole course, perfect a round in the evening
Afraid not it was a flying visit and I was told Corrie was worth a visit, I will return one day, loved what I saw of Arran
Look like a fun course some very interesting holes
Golf in the Kingdom right there. Thanks mate!
Wow! What an interesting track! How parched were those fairways? Great series developing here Andy. 😎🏌️
Shishkine . . . now on my to do list, stunning course
Hey Andy great video , you should take a trip to Donegal and visit Cruit ( pronounced Critch ) island golf club . 9 holes , one o them mate .
I have that on my radar David 👍
@@TheAverageGolfer Hey you could never ever drive by it . So worth seeing as much as playing as it happens
Well done young Lad, another golf masterpiece

Great vid. Did you try any of the other courses on Arran or just Shiskin?
No it was a flying visit left ina ferry later that day
Bestest GC in the worldy. Big smiles playing there.
My goodness, stunning.
Fantastic!
what a great road trip this is.
Greens look great considering how burned the rest of the course is
Superb condition
Is that 6AM in the morning as opposed to the night🤔😂
