This series needs more funding and needs to become an hour for each episode and on Netflix. Erik you are a freaking legend.
I could not agree more, there's not anything else like it that captures how much the sport means to people across the globe.
@@captndonut Its sad we come here after almost 2 years, and only 69k subscribers. I enjoy these videos and have only a small interest in the sport. How are there not more golf people watching this fine show?!?!?!
These are fantastic. The video on Miura has made me pretty set on buying a miura forged wedge
Could not have worded it better.
@@mrcr33py Seriously, we need to come together and spread him to the woooorld. I'm going to send it to my dad now! xD
This channel is a hidden gem
44k subs? Pretty hidden
It really is, just stumbled upon it about a week ago and havent stopped watching lmao
About as hidden as this course..
Abandoned for a hundred years and still better greens than the courses down here in Sacramento
Public courses? Your golf on government.
ztheg IM FROM SAC TOO WHAT UP 916
You know I played Haggin Oaks back in the late 60's in the middle of summer and thought it a pretty good typical valley course. I do remember the ground was as hard a whores heart....LOL
Fr
Time to have The Open here
well... i had the same thought..
Honestly, it really would be perfect. The story of it, the atmosphere, the way it would have to be played. It would show how much golf has changed, yet how much it's still golf.
No way...it's special because its a hidden gem.
Just found this channel and I can't quit watching. This is my 8th video
If you are doing a season 3 of this (HOPEFULLY YOU DO!) you have to come to Finland. There is a par 3 golf course that was opened for the public in 2017 in Isosaari (Big Island) which is a former military island. The course was built in the 1980's for the officers to use on their spare time.
Time to binge Adventures in Golf Season 2.
Anders Skaalerud I
Some how, my favorite episode. Perhaps it’s my Scottish heritage or love of bagpipes. If I had the cash I would love to help restore this classic gem.
Got goosebumps watching this, makes me miss Home. Scotland really is a special place.
For anyone who loves to play golf and has a true understanding of the game and what it truly is this one will give you chills. I love this series so much cant stop watching!!
I played it on Tuesday!! It’s wonderful
Finally! I've been craving new episodes of this show for so long!
I've been waiting for a season 3😁😁
Brilliant vid lads, that TM visor is 🔥 also!!
I saw it and I’ve been browsing eBay to try to find a similar one. No such luck ☹️
Why don’t you and Rick play this and put it up on your channel. I’ve been a subscriber of your for quite some time. Great stuff.
Peter Finch Golf Sick Burner Bubble hat, Erik
Lovely video. This course is definitely on my bucket list (among with some others on the Outer and Inner Hebrides. I've been to the Western Isles many years ago, before I started playing golf. I even passed by that place (as you mentioned ... there pretty much is only one road ;) and I came up form Barra). And one of those days I'll take a light pencil bag with a few clubs and a backpack and just hop from island to island and play all those hidden wild little courses.
The most amazing course.... lucky enough to play here a few years ago.
AMAZING! When you stand there and can actually see the vision that Old Tom had...
Must have watched this 3 times but every time I find something new to make me smile, thank you Erik. I hope you know how much of an inspiration you are
Love the content. You are truly blessed to travel and play as you do. Your humble attitude makes it enjoyable to watch from the sidlines
Place looks Awesome
You just experienced time travel, being able to see how “Old Tom” saw the course in his eyes is a privilege and an architectural insight into course design. Must put it on my radar....
I'm excited that you are doing a season 2. Probably one of my favorite series
This is an amazing find and a great video too. Thank you! I've been walking golf courses around the world for almost 40 years and to play this course would be a dream come true. I hope eveyone understands the significance of this find.
To me...this it what real golf is all about...the weather..the roughs and fairways...all a test of your skills...in the land where the game began...beautiful
Played the old 9 hole back in early '80s on a family trip to island just north of South Uist, Benbecula. There was a shack, some old clubs, and most memorable, electric fences around the greens to ward off the local sheep. Years later read the Sports Illustrated article about the discovery of Old Tom's 18 and the devoted small group that has brought it back. Your video was splendiferous and magic. Thanks for making the trek and sharing your experience.
Wow! This episode was right down my alley. I love pure links golf and this course will be running through my head for a while. I agree that this channel should have longer episodes, like maybe 30 minutes to an hour long. Please keep going around the world to make these because I could watch them forever. Erik I think you must have the best job in the world, just let me know if you need a sidekick. Haha!!!
Love this series so excited to have a season 2. I missed them so much. Thank u so much skratck tv
Best golf video I’ve seen that course is why I play golf. The feeling it gives the place it takes you. Hate to be dramatic but that’s heaven.
Superb - great work Skratch. Finding courses like these are much more fulfilling than treading the tourist traps!
Welp....I have a new goal in life. Thanks, Skratch. Well done.
Great video! I loved the journey and the history.
What an amazing place and you captured the images so perfect
I am so jealous of you right now
Can't get over how great the greens are ... just natural ... awesome job Erik
I literally fell in love with golf 6 years ago watching this video in my college dorm room.
Your appearance on The Par Train podcast brought me here...huge fan now! Can't wait to see more!
What a great course. Thanks for this!
Man, what a beautiful course, very freaking jealous can not lie. Keep this series up definitely a hidden gem!!!!
What an extremely well shot and edited video. From the music selection to the great audio clips this video is absolutely fantastic. Unbelievably great story telling
WOW !
Utterly Blown Away.
Thanks Skratch, I now have a mission for 2022.
The British Isles are My home and clearly We have some extremely quirky original Golf Courses.
I'm going to play a bucketful next summer, My Roadtrip.
I'm presently restoring an ancient hickory shafted putter and she's coming wi'Me.
Wow, that is simply amazing!!!!!!! The more I watch this channel, the more I realize I need two more lives to play all this golf with
That was one of the most beautiful golf videos I have ever seen. Now Askernish is on my bucket list.
Nice swing Erik. And thanks for the video. I 've played for 50 years and never have I seen what you just showed me!
Best episode I've seen so far. This one makes me extremely jealous of your golf adventures.
Welcome back Erik and the rest of the Adventures in Golf Team!
This is incredible. I am adding this course and trip to my bucket list.
one of my favorite episodes ....
Whenever I need to feel amazed at how beautiful golf is I just go to 9:09 the cinematography and music is amazing.
I was there sep 14 2001 on a bycicle trip through the islands. at that time no one had an ideas on golfing. But the feeling was great that time too ... and not only sheeps were respected on the roads ;-)
This is the best golf series. hands down
This is my favorite series on RUclips
Season 2!! Thanks Scratch!
Wow that is a stunning course. You make me want to play again.
Spectacular! What a fantastic adventure to the very heart of golfdom. Love your visit, BTW 👌
Eric many thanks - my bucket list just got longer! Videos like this that make you realize how narrow my field of view has become, please keep it up . If you ever travel to the Bahamas I’ll show you round my home course. Albany
Wow ! wasn't expecting this....Brilliant ! it's a game changer.
Gorgeous. Hope I get to play it one day.
this would be a blast
Best video youve ever made. Almost made me get emotional looking at that course
Wow, what a gem!
Played Askernish a few times now. Looking at the yardages you might think you're gonna take the place to bits, but no, it's wicked difficult. There's a par 3, I think its the 11th, over a gully. I had to smash my hybrid just to be on the green and that's the only time I parred the bugger. What a place to play golf, nothing to the west but the Atlantic and America.
So inspiring! Great video
Favorite episode!
Wow looks amazing & I have read a lot about Scottish golf & never heard of this course
Just one word , merci !
Best course in the world! We’re members and unfortunately could not travel last year but are headed over hopefully later this summer. No better place on earth! Cheers!
If I could like this one a hundred times I would. Excellent.
Wow, every day a school day...thank you
This channel rocks! So glad he gets to live the dream.
Yes I’ve been waiting for this for so long
Amazing! Bucket list.
I've been lucky enough to have played this course. Its a real adventure and an absolute hoot. Managed to par the 11th hole with my 3rd off the tee. I still have that ball 'cos in that wind it felt like an Open win 😆. Easily the most beautiful course Ive ever played on.
It was a 5, not an Ace btw
played it. majestic.
This is the best thing ever!
it's back with a fury!!!! fantastic episode
Yes! So happy its back. Love season 1. This episode just ok but this show rules
WOW 😳 gotta play that one!
Guess I will be travelling to Scotland within the next year, how is the accommodation, where did you guys stay?
My new favorite show.
Great show Erik
Erik you need to check out Masters at Mervs its an annual tournament during Masters week. Its in a small town outside of Augusta in Waynesboro. The kicker the tournament is in his yard and goes around his property. Its a two day tournament and has been going on for awhile now. He has a big crowd every year and needs to be something you should take the adventure to see.
Great ... I wanted to study ... now I am stuck bingeing your videos :D
You are making me want to play golf again.
Best series on RUclips
Awesome video!
What a great golf experience. Should be on PBS
your videography is brilliant, the music and scenery in this video makes me proud to be scottish.
Thanks Erik...now I have to go to Scotland. The penny whistle got me...

please do a part 2 !!
What a great video!
Eric is back - great!
Damn good channel. Thanks Eric
U truly have the best job in the world.
And I thought I was bad booking tee times for the next morning while I am out drinking haha
“With a few hours of driving to go”
Hahaha it’s like 7 miles.
South Uist is tiny!
That course deserves some kind of tournament
Incredible
That might be the best goddamn golf vid I have ever seen.
Love courses where you pay like this. We have a number of them here in Australia. The only sport in the world that would do this.
Looks cold
