-Choosing the less convenient or more challenging path (such as giving yourself permission to slow down when the world is hurrying you along) allows you to see how strong and self-reliant you can be, building your confidence and boosting your mood. You can do hard things!

While not every course is a walkable course and sometimes it is really nice to embrace the convenience and take a cart, we know that one day when our legs are no longer able to take us around the beauty of a golf course we will look back with gratitude for all the steps we took in stunning places that made us feel alive.
Not to mention when we do walk we often find that we feel better, play better, and walk off the course much better than when we walked onto it (all of which are benefits of walking supported by science).
If you are unable to walk the course (for any reason) there are still plenty of ways to experience the benefits of slowing down (both on and off the course). When you catch yourself in a hurry or moving through the motions without much thought, pause, take a breath, and see how it feels to be more intentional in the actions you take. Whether that is taking a moment to take in your surroundings, finding beauty during the walk from the cart to the green, or simply taking your time and leaning in to what brings you joy in each present moment.

A life lesson indeed! In a world where everything is expected to be “now now now”, it’s nice to remind ourselves to take some time away from it all and enjoy the moment.

We couldn’t agree more! It’s so easy to get caught up in the next thing. We find that we can always use a reminder to slow down and enjoy right now! You can miss a lot when you are always in such a rush and living for a future not yet here

I can relate to this. It feels like the world keeps on accelerating and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to take a step back and gain a clear picture on what’s most important in life. Great video!

You are certainly not alone in feeling that way. Taking time to slow down and really appreciate right now have been so impactful for us in the midst of the chaos and craziness that can come about in the journey of life (and golf). Sometimes a break and a breath can do wonders

Such wisdom from two who are so young. I absolutely love your videos and hope you grow and reach more people. I have always thought of golf in a metaphysical way. There is so much to reflect on and enjoy when on the course, from nature and solitude, to friendship and keeping cool in the face of frustration. So many opportunities for being in the moment - What's the grass like? Which way is the wind blowing? How fast or slow are the greens? So many lessons to learn. And, even though I'm getting older and have an arthritic hip, I only walk (unless it is 18 holes in blazing heat or a very hilly course). Continued success to you both. I am a fan!

Thank you so much for the kind words and support! It truly means so much to us. Really appreciate you sharing your view on golf and all of the benefits and opportunities to be found on the course throughout a round - so well said and we couldn't agree more. In many ways, we see golf as a microcosm for life and are finding so much value in taking the time to more intentionally explore the lessons to be learned through golf and hope in sharing we can continue to spark reflections and discussions like these and help people learn, grow, and live better with the help of the wonderful and wise game of golf. Thank you again for sharing your powerful insights and for being a part of this journey with us!
