I started my RUclips channel in April 2024. I knew nothing about what to do or how to get started! It turns out that EVERY QUESTION I HAD ALONG THE WAY WAS ANSWERED BY THIS GUY RIGHT HERE! If you are new to RUclips creation, you can't go wrong with Think Media, and Nolan in particular! I am so grateful to Nolan and so appreciate the work he has done. These videos are short, to the point, and packed with the essential information you need to know! I now have 42 videos posted, and my channel is growing like a weed! I COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT NOLAN, HIS TEAM, AND HIS CHANNEL! I really appreciate this very much! All of my videos will have chapters! You gotta just press record!
Two years later and I want to say thank you for this! As a small channel, it's little things like this that help me understand and grow and let the viewer pick and choose the stories

My viewers love time stamps!! I’ve started adding them into older videos of mine as well. My videos tend to have lists of multiple games so time stamps are great feature. I also time codes when I need to refer back to a specific portion of one of the Think Media videos. So helpful.

FYI. The video chapters don’t always work or will suddenly stop working. I covered this issue and provided a fix in a tutorial that can be found on my channel if anyone needs or wants to watch it.

Wow! This was super helpful! Thank you so much for sharing. Timecodes have been a mystery to me and now I'm really excited to try applying them to my next video. I teach music so my students can easily jump to the measures within the piece that they want to work on instead of having to watch the entire video or writing down where they last stopped watching. At that point maybe consider splitting the videos up if they're too long. Just add them to playlists. Then again, this was 2 years ago so things have definitely changed and you might have changed how you deal with this too

Ok, I have watched two videos on this and have followed the instructions and I still can't get it to work. I made SURE to put 0:00 at the start of the timestamps and hit save. I have more than 3 timestamps and they are waaay more than 10 seconds apart. I know it's saved since the new description dose show up, it's just not creating any chapters from my timestamps. What am I doing wrong????

All you need to do is : 1. Go to edit videos. (Manage videos)
Go to the description,type “timechaps:” and start with your codes for example “0:00” click on it and you’ll see your time chaps.

You have to manually type them out by scrolling through your video, seeing the time, and typing it into your description box with the name of the chapter. It’s tedious
