- In this video we had the opportunity and great pleasure to film England Internation Sea Match Angler Joe Plumstead, We learned a lot!!!
This is a slightly longer video than we usually produce , but we couldnt trim it down any more and not lose information because of this there will be other videos that come out of this session so keep watching.
Joe is a thoroughly nice guy and an excellent angler. we also met his son Harvey, who is also an up and coming sea Angler , Harvey will no doubt carry on the 3 generations of Plumstead family tradition.
Tony has this theory , you cant win a match if you are being filmed, so hes been sending CJ to film all of his rivals, watch the video to the end to find out if it is true.
Apologies for the crackles towards the end , my mics didnt like the rain
Brilliant video mate thanks. Never met Joe I have known Tony from the first day he opened his shop. I am going to have a go in some of their matches. Take care and stay safe everyone. Tom.
Looking forward to this 1!!
Much respect from Ireland Tony CJ + CREW
Big up to you too, hope you enjoy it, see you at the premiere maybe? CJs next video premieres just after , on the seafishing with CJ channel
Absolutely brilliant videos just love the films you both do excellent
😊
A trip down memory lane for me as an older match angler, fished next to Joe's dad at Southwold in the 1992 Samf Masters final.
Talent obviously runs in the family.
It does
I fished that one too , Ifished next to his dad in the zziplex league.
Great stuff and a nice incite into how the comps work and how you guys help out the newcomers . Great vid and look forward to the next one 👍🎣
😊
Lovely video really enjoyed it keep them coming👏👏🐟🐟👍
Thanks
What a great video Tony so helpful 👏 please keep them coming 🙏
We will.
Definitely the best fishing Channel, I’ve seen on RUclips get down to near Penzance I’ll buy a ticket
Thanks, im near Padstow.
Fantastic insight to match fishing. Brilliant watch.
😊
Super interesting - also that backwards pendulum cast. I fished that exact bay recently with Tony's frozen salted lugs. Thanks for your efforts CJ.
How did you get on?
@@tonystackleseamatch398 Fished from about 1pm till 8pm (sunset) 2 rods and only got a gurnard and two weever fish. Still, 2 new species and a great day out. Threw lures in the morning at sunrise at Cow Gap - no luck as there were about 12 seals about. Love fishing at Eastbourne.
Good stuff this. Very entertaining and informative. Keeping it real. Keep it up. Cheers.
😊
Great vid - the pressure's on now, Tony, to beat the curse of filming!🤣👍
Lol
Great video, with many useful tips. Good to hear Billy Bantock get a mention, his unhooking method must have saved thousands of flat ties.
There will be a video out soon showing it in more detail.
Great video Great to see that anyone can have a go and get plenty of help
Its very friendly, mostly
Great video. keep them coming
We will
Hi tony n chris, brilliant realy enjoyed that. You don't see many anglers these days doing the old bk cast. My uncle used to it many moons ago with one of them big scarborough reels like a fly reel lol . All the best from GRIMSBY.
It is proper old school, but still sends the lead to the horizon
another entertaining video, nice to get an insight to the match scene thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Loved watching that. I’m looking forward to competing in the police sport uk national championships in Northumberland next week.
Good luck, tight lines.
Excellent guys !!! Enjoyed yet again. Still waiting for review on gravity x5 HT ??
Im working on it.
hi ya, i was always taught when snagged to walk along the beach against the pull of the tide, then back the other way, some times maybe 50 yards or more to get out off it, i know in a match its all about time but that could be a bigger snag there now, also being an ex field caster the main thing is a solid foot base, there is no need to be in the water where the ground may move, you could have mentioned those two points for lesser anglers
It wasnt a casting lesson, i was just filming what Joe does. Thank you for your observations,
@@tonystackleseamatch398 The time when Joe moved into the water further was when he cast up the tide to the right....I would say it was to avoid the high posts of the breakwater catching his line as the lead settled and moved to the left in the strong tide. Just my thoughts.
What I do know is....someone with his experience and talent....usually do things for a reason.
Very good film again CJ, I can see this Channel growing very quickly.
@@tonystackleseamatch398 i know it wasnt, but there will be people watch your vids that dont know no better and will think everything they see is the way to do it
@@leerichy6489 as i dont know him i cant question his experience and talent but i do wonder the reason for the crack off,
@@johnkay7354 I don't know you? Do you fish for your country?
another good video
I appreciate that
@@tonystackleseamatch398 a lot of time and effort goes into making those videos 👍
Just a question, is Joe Plumstead related to Billy Plumstead who I use to fish with when I lived in Eastbourne. I just cannot believe how the years have disappeared if that is the case. Also, all the talk of catching dogfish! You would never see a dogfish caught off the beach in the late 70's.
Bill Plumstead , is Joe's dad. And you are right the species of fish on the beaches here have changed .
@@tonystackleseamatch398 Many thanks for taking the time to reply 😀
My 40-year-old beach caster would definitely get a laugh
Couple of mine are that old, they still catch fish..
Thats some cast that back cast
It does go a long way.
Where is Tony's bucket.
Hi mate why are you so far from the water where fish on the mersey we Stand on the edge of the water
Like an episode of shameless .classic Mr plumstead
Haha
