    As of last November on my birthday i decided to blow a chunk of change on a BOSGAME N95 Mini PC with 8gb DDR4 and a 256gb SSD. It was only $140 but i found that it was an amazing little box of electronics with just base settings and minimal graphical de-grades i was able to play F:NV with 55fps and no mods with variable crashes, now i know that sounds like shit but compared to my old 90’s dell tower i had that took a half hour to load Internet Explorer i couldnt be any happier especially now because ive just ordered a second RAM stick of 4gb to add on. Hopes and prayers that i dont brick my PC 😂😂

      Hi there, and welcome to the channel! From the old pc you came from to this was a massive upgrade. Plus, seeing you can play your game, that's another win! It's all about what works for the individual. Not everyone needs the most powerful pc. It just has to be able to do what you want. That's all that matters :)

    Weird your performance went down some. The captures show pretty reasonable temps for the cpu cores at least. It isn't really a thing anymore, but I wonder if running in single channel makes a higher CL(cas latency) more of a detriment. Just a thought - I really don't know. I know that back in the day when everything was single channel, CL was a big spec to consider. I guess you can always stick the original ram in and see if the benches go back up. Whatcha think? Worth trying?

      Hi there. Those are some good thoughts. I can check it out, tyvm. Idk I thought it was thermal throttling under cinebench. If this unit had 2 ram slots for dual channel, it would make a decent diff I bet. Thanks for commenting and watching:)

    How did you set the RAM frequency to 3200?

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there. I bought a new stick of ddr4 3200mhz memory and installed it. I doubled checked in the Bios that it was recognized and running at 3200mhz and I was good to go :) Thanks for watching and commenting.

    hello, recently my hdmis and usbs stopped working for this, do you know any way to fix this? very hard to find for this mini pc

      HI there. Are you able to get into the bios? With any video out on any output? If you can get into the bios I'd reset the bios to its defaults. Also check to ensure that the igpu is enabled in bios. Do you get any post info upon boot up? If so the bios is your first stop. Let mw know thanks

    Great improvement with the new SSD and ram. Did you check the speed the ram is running at, though? It might not have automatically set to run at 3200Mhz. CPU-Z ram tab should tell you what the speed of the ram is currently running at. Check your links above. Some are not working. Great vid, and keep em coming!

      Hi there. I belive I set it manually in bios since it was running at 2900 or something weird. Thanks for the tip on the links I'll have to fix them as soon as I can get to my main pc.

    Hola de nuevo las actualizaciones realizadas en este equipo son bastante lógicas , es una lastima que no pueda utilizar al máximo la velocidad del nuevo disco Nmve l
    Comentar que también creo que el problema de de bajada de rendimiento se debe al calentamiento y protección de la CPU ,
    LLámame loco !!! Pero seria interesante, ver como le va (como un experimento ) removiendo el disipador original y poniéndole uno como los de un pc normal , de esos mas baratos con solo 2 headpipes ,uno que mas o menos se pudiera poner ,aunque sea solamente apoyado encima de la cpu y con pasta térmica nueva y volver a correr los test , para ver si no se calienta tanto y mejora el rendimiento o lo deja como con el pequeño disipador original.
    Tal vez se tendría que adaptar una alimentación adecuada para el ventilador del disipador con una fuente externa .
    Saludos cordiales.

      Hey Jose! Lol, imagine this mini pc with a giant heatsink sticking through the top, lol. But that's a good idea. The heatsink solution is clearly inadequate for sure!! Plus, it can't even reach nvme pcie 3 speeds and has 1 ram slot, hence no dual channel :( The testing will need to wait a bit, though, as I've a few more things in progress :)

    Hello Jason, that was an interesting video even though I'm not a gamer, it seems odd to me that there is only one ram., slot in such a modern machine.

      Hey Laurence! Probably because its so compact and they wanted to cut costs they only included one ram slot. Dual channel ram would have helped.

    Hey is this mini pc's motherboard able to be swapped? And if so to what size?

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there. I personally dont think its possible and wouldn't bother swapping the mobo out of this mini pc and try to replace it with a better one. I'd just buy a nicer mini case and mobo and start from scratch. You would have more power and better build quality. Thanks

      Hi there. I believe it's soldered into the mobo. Besides anything faster and the cooling solution, I can't handle it :(

    Do not buy anything from Kamrui as they will not honor their warranty.
