Love the dirt! Get something out of it every time. Kind of new to bass fishing so I have a lot to learn. I also look for your show on TV every morning.
You just hit me right in the heart Z! I started throwing the Neko two years ago and it completely changed my tournament results! That rig catches them EVERYWHERE! But in the dead of summer on deep weedlines it is an ABSOLUTE MONSTER!!!!!
Thanks for all the info brother! I got the wife to try the Neko rig this past weekend up in central Michigan and we were hammering the big bass, I don't think there was one that went less then 3lbs. Her new favorite bait to throw. 🎣🎣🎣
Love it! Show Dirts are great 👍 Been using a smaller finesse Neko in my local pond with great success. What do you think about the mushroom head type insert weights?
does it really make sense to be throwing a big, heavy worm on a big hook, with 20# braid, maybe to as much as a 12# FC leader and use a drop shot rod? I say no.
Personal preference. I don't know if there is a length that's too long, but I always use at least 6 feet minimum. Certainly more of an important factor if using a Carolina rig as it relates to how far off the bottom your bait is.
@@edstanley7815 the reason for my ? Is I'm very new to drop shotting and quickly found out that this rig is deadly, why I haven't tried it before last summer no idea. The thing is my local lake in kc mo is very rocky and I'm breaking the weight off frequently then the leader is getting shorter. And the fg knot is not a quick knot to tie. So I was thinking about trying a longer leader.
No leader is too long imo, I usually do a couple feet MIN. Make sure you use a good knot to go through guides and you can go as long as you'd like. I like the modified albright i think it's called. Low profile to sleep through guides and relatively easy. Rule of them the clearer the water the longer the leader imo.
Love the dirt, BUT! That show was great but you said it was going to be about fishing deep and your humminbird never went over 16. The other thing, when you say a “long leader” can you just say 10-15-20ft whatever it may be. Long to one might not be for some.
Love the tips Z! No secrets, great stuff, ZZZZZing Powwww
I love the show and Neko fishing!

Do you ever fish the st joseph river around six span area?
Yes I have
Can anyone tell me what's too long for a leader length?
