That’s why I think a fishing calendar would be awesome it gives people like me a good starting point the people I have talk to you they all said they would buy one I made up the small one I just never made up the big one I could show you if you wanted me too
Im a huge fan of the bladed jig. I have Chatterbaits and Thunder Crickets. We both know that they are a creation of ZMan products. This is what I learned. Thunder Crickets are designed different. The sound is also different due to the way they are designed & material they are constructed of. The trailers used will change the cadence and tone of the" click". Size of line and use of braided line plays a factor as well. Hands down this bait is versatile and has no limits to it's abilities. That's why I love it so much. I've used it side by side with spinnerbaits. The presentation is not the same & you will have different results. Color combinations are a huge factor also. It is my favorite technique to fish. Show Dirt is a awesome idea 👌. Thank you for sharing this concept.
Thanks Mark!... I've been playing with bladed baits recently and haven't had much success with them... but after seeing this video, I will definitely be applying your technique today and try to entice a big Florida largemouth into coming out to play!!
Im learning to use bladed jigs Hoping this video pays off on the knowledge. Looks to be an amazing experience to learn with. I have caught some pigs on Texas and Carolina Rig. Thats what I grew up on. Been having these bladed jigs for a couple years now. Tonight is the night for me trying this. Tight Lines and Thank you from Chad Toledo Bend Lake Louisiana My home!!!!
Z Train I'm on board with all of this. Same two colors. I use the old Phoenix baits and the Jack Hammer. Will check out the cricket. Besides what you say I look closely at every part of your video. How you store your baits, boat organization et all. Keep these coming Z. Ol Coach Fran
2004 in a backwater area off the western basin of Lake Erie I made my first cast with OG chatter bait ,4lb largemouth. Been hooked ever since. 2005 did really good in tournaments catching smallmouth on one while most guys were throwing lipless baits. Like Z said, gotta be hittin something.
This Show Dirt alone has made a night and day difference with my bladed jig performance. It’s my go-to confidence bait I’ve kept glued to my hands in our club tourney. It will be only a matter of time before I pick up a win
Hey Z! Give us some more filthy dirt soon! I keep up with Lews, SK and Todd's channel. JB3 is terrific also. Love all the JUICE! When are you and Todd doing a show together? That would be awesome!
With southern Lake Michigan smallies making themselves such chubs on gobys would you still throw the chartreuse or would you change up to the green pumpkin and jig it ?
I do prefer painted blades whether it's green pumpkin or pearl like you saw in the video. I just prefer to have my blade match the entire bait. In extreme muddy water I will use all white or all black. Those seem to perform the best in really muddy water.
If you use a bait like the Rage bug that has a wide body, it won't roll and hang in wood cover much less often than when using a minnow bait will. The slim body of a swim bait or minnow bait (like the Blade Minnow) will allow the lure to roll when crossing limbs and logs, while the wide body creature bait (like a Rage Bug) prevents the roll.
Good knowledge Mark, as always. I fish my bladed jigs on a 7’5” MH/ fast action rod but a 8.5:1 Curado DC. Turning the handle super slow and always had great success doing that. Thanks Mark Zona, I will try the technique you talked about fishing it like a jig. I always have to rods set up with blades jigs, jack hammer one one and a thunder cricket on another.
You guys might think Z and kvd are best friends but Z and I are the real best friends he just tells kvd he is just so he doesn’t hurt his feelings !! 🤣🤣 keep me coming brother !! And I need some Zona live in my life !!
This is no joke. God didn’t make me a good angler but I caught a couple of big mouth. Once I figured out how to maneuver it around I started getting lucky.
My personal best came off a naked bladed jig last March. 9-6. Was fishing in heavy cover like a jig. Pulled it through some buck brush then hit some hydrilla and bam bout lost the rod. Thought it was a big bowfin. Ran under the boat then broke water and I was omg look at this stud. Chatter bait catches biguns. Smallest on it is 3-12. Y’all do the math
Man would I love to fish with Z. His energy and personality is so fun.
Great video, love your enthusiasm and excitement!
Love it Z !! Keep them coming.
More to come!

I fought using these for years. Now I love em lol. Great video
It’s like a drug! I switch between the cricket and jackhammer. Before I change a lure changing sound can keep a group going

You are my husband hero

Thanks for the tips

"Tools of Chatter Justice" hahahaha thanks as always uncle z train
Awesome Z. So glad the Zona Show is back on. Went off air in my region at the worst time, ie COVID 19. Glad you're back on. Best fishing show on TV.
For slightly stain ponds with downed trees and other vegetation in Central Missouri would you go chatterbait or swimjig?
This Show Dirt alone has made a night and day difference with my bladed jig performance. It’s my go-to confidence bait I’ve kept glued to my hands in our club tourney. It will be only a matter of time before I pick up a win

Question what tatula elite rod would u use for the thunder crickets ?
It's in the video but I use a DAIWA tatula bladed jig rod.
With southern Lake Michigan smallies making themselves such chubs on gobys would you still throw the chartreuse or would you change up to the green pumpkin and jig it ?
Something about the white and chartreuse in Michigan just slays the bass and pike for me
Brando didn't look to happy when you cracked that smallie.. lol
Hay z two quick questions does blade color make a difference and what do you prefer in muddy or water thank you I would really appreciate it
I do prefer painted blades whether it's green pumpkin or pearl like you saw in the video. I just prefer to have my blade match the entire bait. In extreme muddy water I will use all white or all black. Those seem to perform the best in really muddy water.
I'd like to know what kind of rod you use!
How do you decide between a baitcaster and a spinning reel?
I want a lot of power when I'm fishing a bladed jib both in the rod and a reel. I feel that a baitcaster rod and reel gives me more power.
Show Dirt Rules ~ Nicely Done Z.
Thanks 👍
When would be a good time to throw a lizard bait.
What gear ratio on the Tatula SV?
Early in the year I prefer a 6.1 but when i'm smallmouth fishing and burning it I use an 8.1

so what rod and reel was it?
My setup is in the description;
ROD: DAIWA 7ft 4in Bladed Jig Rod
REEL: DAIWA Tatula SV Batcast Reel
I wish there were 2 like buttons Z!!
I burn a chatter for shallow spring largies in MN and it kills
Now that was full of Hot Apple Pie...If you know what I mean!
Exactly! LOL
Bigen Bigen Bigen
Ok. I can fish. But in florida I've struggled to get bit on chatterbaits. Caught a few but now I'll try ur tips. Those bigguns tell me to keep trying
Damn bud what did that freaky buck score I see behind you
I was skeptical at first. Many of the new contraptions are the Banjo Minnow all over again.
Z! if your looking for video ideas.. Bladed jigs for smallmouths BROTHER 👊🏼
Sounds good!
That's dirty
I lose a lot of my chartreuse bladed jigs up here in the north woods. Do you recommend a leader? If so, what size and length.
I never use a leader. I feel it kills a lot of the natural action of your baits.
Its interesting that Mark often kicks the tar out of the elites he takes fishing.
Show Dirt Slither Rig next??? 🤔😁
Do more please.
