What would really be savage is a race where Tebogo actually ran through the line 😂
True lol
Yeah bruh nobody knows what he is truly capable of.
Not gonna happen anytime soon, pros get payouts from their sponsors for WRs so it’s in their interest to raise it incrementally and get paid every time instead of smashing it once
@@1995blooper In any other sport, this kind of score rigging will get you a very bad rep. That just seems like something that should be universally so.
@@1995blooper best explanation I’ve come across so far, thanks
Tobogo’s leg speed, smooth stride, and effortless arm carriage are truly stunning
He is a natural talent cause in Africa we really do not have the advanced sprinting coaches and equipment, you get to it maybe in college if you are lucky.
"You can balance a glass on his head"😂😂😭
😂😂
I love how you you slowed it down and showed his stride.. That was amazing to watch
That stride is just...WOW. He looks like he's jogging...it's that effortless.
He gets out of the blocks so incredibly well and is in full stride almost immediately...WOW. I don't care for his celebrating like he does, but he runs so smooth, it is impressive.
An undeniable talent and a force to be reckoned with as long as he stays healthy. I just hate the "what if" scenarios that come with his celebratory antics. Who knows what that 9.91 would have been going hard across the line.
@@fatfredthe28th second biggest "what if" after Usain Bolt
No one knows the future, and today may be your best race ever, so a talent like that not running through the line makes me mad.
@@jowbloe3673 exactly. Every big race is your chance at history. Don’t throw away opportunity because you want to gloat for a split second and let your guard down
@@jowbloe3673 , my thoughts as well. I was a decent sprinter in high school, but not even the best on my team. Regardless of how good or bad we were, we were expected to run through the line. If we did stuff like this, we'd be running repeat quarters until our legs gave out.
He is like a gazelle! He runs like the ROBOTS from IROBOT featuring Will Smith. Everyone he runs next to looks like they’re struggling to run while he just floats 😂. He’s a Beast and love his form!!
That U20 record 9.91 could be under threat next year by Nkrumie of Jamaica, you all should look out for this young man he's no joke, he got what it takes to break it next year 💯
Who cares ? What remains is that he broke the U18 record
The Asian guy can equal that or faster in 2 years. He’s only 16 10.09
Puripol Boonson from Thailand is the real phenom. He's only 16 and his pb is only 0.7 off the Jamaican. He'll probably be the one to put the record out of reach when it's all said and done
@@trinidadrodriquez876 the Asian guys peak early. I've seen some 10.0X sprinters from Asia. None delivered big time, except for Su Bingtian
I'd be surprised if Nkrumie achieves what you're suggesting.
He’s so relaxed that’s crazy . So effortless.
That's what I was thinking!
Compare Trayvon Brommel in 2014 running a 9.97 with Letsile Tebogo at the same age doing a 9.91 with a 30m shutdown. This man's form is simply poetry in motion. To run that fast, that smoothly, with no visible sign of labor, while celebrating half the race ..and yeah, the still glass of water at the top of his head, is simply jaw-dropping. Only a few elite sprinters manage to have such good form before the peaks of their careers. Folks, we are in for a few good years ahead.
Reminds me of Michael Johnson
To be fair to Trayvon, if he ran his 9.97 at increased altitude like this then he'd have like ran 9.9 low or even 9.8 to be honest.
Tebogo’s running style is a true exhibition in rexalation at top end speed
This is my favorite track channel. I love what track did for me. Taught me to believe in myself and train hard for what I want. To run through pain and put it all on the line. Started at 9yrs old in 2001 and ran my most recent race in 2019. I'm 30yrs old and staying fit in the gym. Looking to compete again when I'm masters age in 2027. I am so grateful for this sport! God bless you all and do all you do with Love! 🙏
I feel like Blessing Afrifa also has a great potential, as he improved his personal best from 20.8 in March, to 19.96 in August which is the 3rd best under 20 time in history, and he's just 18.
Thanks for the form check, good points. This man is going to break records.
That still head position reminds me of Tortu. Flawless form.
I've been watching his races for a couple days now and I'm still flabbergasted
Bro got the perfect run form like Eric Dickerson 😂😂😂
Best running channel on RUclips! Thanks!!
Trp gave us a foreshadow of what Tebogo will do in 2023 😢
At a buffet, I personally sneak corn into the buffet so others can enjoy them. I hide 6 boiled corn ears in my jacket pockets. It is a joy for me to see other patrons of the establishment eat my corn thinking they were part of the buffet.
Thank you for your service
I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I think this is probably the most random comment in the history of RUclips comments 🤪
@@ddebenedictis On every TRP video...
@@midwestnagyfa Ah OK thanks. I am new to the channel, it was recommended, probably because I have watched a lot of videos about the Berlin marathon over the past two days.
Sprints are gonna be great for the next few years, no matter who you favor.
Really wish he hadn’t pulled up. While this has been an amazing season for records, half of them could’ve been deeper if they didn’t celebrate across the line 😩
yeah. and he does it every single time too. That's actually one of the things Asafa Powell regrets, easing up into a 9.74 100m wr
Hes just got that dawg in him!
Exciting stuff!
I actually guve him a higher ceiling then Knighton... Especially in the 100m.
Still want to see them both excel in the 200m... At the senior Pro level. Definitely will come for both in a couple years tho... Very fast dudes🔥🔥
Lol, don't let the altitude fool you he isn't a great 200m runner, he'll have to run sub-20 in a regular stadium before you can say he's better than Knighton.
@@augustusfreeman4032 100m I was talking about more, he's definitely got a much quicker 100m then Knighton. Both are crazy fast..
Mans legs look like they weigh nothing, his gravity just looks like its on a different setting tbh
These videos are so good
"be like water"- bruce lee. That's tebogo's running motion simply effortless.
Femke Bol best European female atlete of 2022. Great season!
I'll never understand why sprinters don't finish every race when they are pushing WRs.
I have a lot of respect for his times but his failure to commit and run through the line makes me lose most of it if I’m being honest. Its a shame seeing people with high capabilities worsening their results due to ego.
i don't know if this applies here, but there are some countries that reward their athletes for 1) winning, 2) for progressively improving performance.
what i'm saying is that he wants to win but also so confident that he wants to go faster in increments, getting rewarded more for each slightly faster time.
Times are not everything, and he will certainly not do this at the senior level (unless he becomes Bolt level good by next year) so we will likely be seeing what he is fully capable of in due course.
I love your video bro hopefully I will be on it one day
Oblique Seville ....the world will come to know this name very soon.
my man is gonna break some wr i am sure
I'll never understand athletes that don't run through the line and try to go as fast as they possibly can.
I Can watch him run all day like a marathon …RE MARKABLE
Yes
Tebogo just might be Bolts successor!💯🔥
Michael Johnson stated in 2009 that Bolt's successor had not been born yet. But who knows? Maybe he was wrong?
Who knows at this point, there's Knighton and Tebogo.
Suuurely we are hitting the limits of the human body to go much faster
Whoa
It's not more savage than Knighton's 19.49.
too inconsistent
@@02hreblue30 Nah, he just peaked too early in the season.
@@02hreblue30 He consistently runs faster than Tebogo's PR.
I agree with you, while Tebogo has been awesome this season.....Knighton has been sublime, a 19.49 and repeatedly running faster than Tebogo's times.
@@beefboi9993 Exactly. Knighton has beat Tebogo's 19:96 7 times this season alone.
Better times through chemistry!
His running style seems effortless reminds me of Usain bolt
tebogo and matt in 2024 Olympics that will be a race.
When ya gonna start covering ultras and trail running? I enjoy your analysis.
Yo I know this video is about to be fire
You forgot Amusan breaking the 100m hurdle
hes talked about that multiple times
can you make more content about long/ triple jump ?
I feel like this video overlooks Sydney Mchlaughlin's achievements pretty significantly. Especially highlighting Femke Bol instead of the World Champion and multiple time world record breaker. She's absolutely untouchable in the event in a way even Karston Warholm or Grant Holloway aren't.
One of his competitors is going to take a swing at Tebogo sometime.
Yikes, I hope it doesn't come to that.
Commenting 1 day after this video comes out b4 Tebogo beats 100m wr
never forget this competition also gave birth to 2 of the fastest teenager in South East Asia, Azeem Fahmi who is 18 and that Thailand kid who is just 16 years old.
😍👍👍
Tebogo Looks a lot like Michael Johnson!!!
I guess he bought the right juice.
i think the 19:49 by knighton was a fluke as he never came close the rest of the season especially in the bigger competitions, as u mentioned tobogo has such a fluid and natural running style he makes it look effortless and that stride length will only serve him better as he gets upto top speed, another great vid from TRP many thx its much appreciated
U do have to keep in mind tho how consistent better he was then people his age braget this year tho u can’t really aspect a 18 to run sub 19.5 twice in a year
Knighton simply burned out as the season progressed. Just think about it. He’s keeping up with the tippy top of the world as an 18 year old. That’s something that not even an 18 year old Usain Bolt could do, who could only dream of breaking 19.90 at that age while Knighton ran just over 0.5 seconds faster. He ran his 19.49 as the very first race of the season, when his legs were as fresh as they could be. His times simmered down by a lot simply because his body wasn’t mature enough to keep up with elite sprinters in their prime, like Noah Lyles and Kenny Bednarek. As his body and mind develop, he’ll be able to match and maybe even surpass his 19.49, but for now, he’ll have to take the backseat.
@@bryangao979 not over 0.5. Almost 0.5
@@bryangao979 it should be mentioned that Noah Lyles ran NR time in a mid-season, when he was slightly tired as well.
@@razor_ramon_ If anything, Lyles was holding back in the early season. He went from running around 19.75-19.80 in the early season to running 19.31-19.60 in mid to late season
Did I miss the clip from the thumbnail?
Knighton is gonna be the main man in the years to come.
LoL this video isnt about Knighton
Who cares ?
@@tlamelokgosimalebe3119 lol I'm sorry for having an opinion 😂
@@Alberts_Stuff 🤣🤣may Tebogo recieve his flowers without being compared to anyone
@@tlamelokgosimalebe3119 I must admit, he also could be the next main man in years to come, but Knighton has a superstar name, so...yeah 😂
E has the potential to b great hoping. e stay injury free and apply himself
That celebration was inspired by Bolt😂 but Tebogo celebrated to early
The G.O.A.T Bolt created the showboat 😂
Also Lex Young is almost certainly gonna DESTROY the xc National high school record
Usain Bolt 100 meter record will not be broken this year I can tell you that much!
He runs kind of like Michael Johnson
Heyo why tf is my step mom's massage therapist Dr. Sins on here??
That's what I am saying
It will be interesting to see if he and Knighton will clash in the future if Knighton starts doing 100m or Tebogo starts running more in the 200m
They met for the first time this year at Prefontaine over 100m and Tebogo beat knighton
@@jordanjordannis2258 yes but Knighton's specialty right now is 200m in which he is faster tahn Tebogo. That is why I said it will be interesting to see what happens if they focus both focus on 100m or 200m.
9.8-19.7
He’s definitely impressive and in a class of his own but Noah lyles still has the 200 and Fred still has the 100, the only way I can think of him possibly upsetting both of them is if Noah lyles or Fred somehow end up folding at worlds or get hurt
Puripol Boonson
Imagine what he could do if he wasn't constantly show boating!
Seriously!
9.71 2023
How about a 2023 set of 9.85 and 19.80?
Maybe 9.85 not sure about 19.80 in 200
It doesn't matter how good Tobogo is, being arrogant and taunting other runners erases any greatness he might have had.
I've gotta agree with you!
which athlete was he arrogant to? yall are too funny judging one;s character from just one race...
W8W ^^ Very Nice :DDDD
2023:
100m - 9.79
200m - 19.79
These are just my predictions btw.
AYEEEEE🇧🇼
I swear imma run faster than Tebogo I put that on my own two legs.
fast asf boi
9.88 and 19.69
First, you gotta win the genetic lottery. Check.
Showboat. Will we ever know what his potential really is?
Probably not!
Next season Tebogo run in legal wind 100m 9.71, 200m 19.54
Doubt he will break 19.5 in 200
no mention of aleksandras sorokinas? feelsbadman.
Su would have been furious.
I comment to help statistics
why is it so important for these guys to slow down and showboat at the end? Maybe it was cool when Usain Bolt did it. But now everyone has to do it.
Can't stand a showboat...smh
No chance these sudden drastic improvements are due to drugs ?
😏
Weakest comment on the video
Tabogo will never be on top as a pro on the world stage.. showboating is more important for him and he will waste even more opportunities at record times then he already has and when he gets crushed by some big boys the confidence will vanish
Shut up
You have serious issues broh ,🤣
@@tlamelokgosimalebe3119 someone that uses "broh" is the one with issues
Athletics benefited from the pandemic.
Shoes are totally unfair now comparing old records shld b different category

So ridiculous, I stop watching sprinters that don’t run through the line. I wish they could spell as well as they run.
Speaking of erriyon I think he’ll run a 19.3 in 2023
We don't get to see the junior race? You just kept re-showing the same three races, not your best video.
Unfortunately for him Erriyon Knighton exists.
And?
What's with mentioning Erryon Knighton ? Nobody cares about him at this particular moment, and this video isnt about him either
Yeah and the Asian kid who ran 10.09 at 16 in 3 years will hopefully. Equal teno gos. Records.
@@trinidadrodriquez876 at this particular moment ,all of that doesn't matter.this video is about Tebogo ,may he recieve his flowers without being judged?
Such rapid improvement is quite odd. Might need to check them urine samples. Hope he learns to control his show boating as he has not done that great.
He is very much clean, thank you very much..watch out for the upcoming season, the world will know more about Letsile Tebogo
I think there is a real lack of diversity in this event. Measures must be introduced to make it more multicultural and diverse. Or does that only apply to events where whyte people are concerned?
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ‼️👽🥵😱🆒
How about someone coach this kid to finish a race
9.91 and celebrating early... SMH.
