Bought a new Mac studio computer for $2.2k cuz maschine updated and I couldnt use some of the new plugs I bought. I have enough from them already. I'll never buy NI again.

@@DDS825 Yep! Rudiments wouldnt work with my older OS on the mac. I cant mess with them nomo on the updates. If I have to update a lot i'll just stop with them.
I have the new S-Series Controller as well as the MK3 Maschine and it's completely unacceptable that Native Instruments STILL hasn't updated the Maschine & new S-Series to work properly with each other. Don't leave us hanging NI!
THIS! This is the reason I had to choose between Maschine & Logic. I want the features of the S-Series Controller while making music. I know it may work in the future. However, it's just disappointing that it doesn't work yet.

They claim user data showed that very few customers used KK keyboards with Maschine so they dropped support.
Maschine support is not being worked on and there are no plans to. So, don't hold your breath. It's probably not going to happen.
I just hope they don't drop it from the MK2 keyboards as well.

@@CodeBrotha Yes, I heard something similar. I think at one point there was talk about something changing last year but, that didn’t happen. Even if the majority of KK users didn’t use it with Maschine, it would still be nice if the Maschine software at least recognized the MK3. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

If you want your complete control to work inside a machine go into your VST folder and correct the spelling from a k on complete to a c and it will show up in your VST folder. you're welcome.
I tried to tell to native instruments instruments the same thing but they wouldn't listen.

@@DDS825 it works for me tech support wasn't much help I spent about 6 weeks trying to figure it out. One day I said to myself it's got to be something simple I change the spelling and it work.

I was trying to find an answer for weeks one day I said to myself it's got to be something simple I change the spelling and problem solved. If you change the spelling back to a k it will disappear from the folder again.

this is exactly me. I went from Logic to Maschine at v1.x... over the years ive went back and forth. Mainly doing beats and even full songs minus vocals in maschine. then mix and edit in logic. I also notice that depending on the type of genre I'm doing will dictate where I go to. Logic brings out a more melodic song where as Maschine brings a straight beat focus song.
I’ve definitely noticed Logic bringing out a different style out of my production. But when I just want to knock out some beats real quick, Maschine was the way to go.

I get it family! Maschine to DAW mixing and mastering. Go with it brother! I use my Kontrol S61 with Maschine and Cubase combo! I get it. Good for you bro! Just use Maschine as a plugin in Logic and drag and drop. feature is sweet to have. Cant wait to see those vids! Blessings!
I did try that for a little while. But when it became time to mix and arrange, the drag and drop wasn’t flowing for me. Lol

I'm surprised they haven't fixed it yet. That's one of the main complaints, I hear about Logic.

I thought about trying Ableton but since I have Logic already, I just went with that. I keep hearing good things about Ableton though. I might have to give it a shot.
Logic's stem seperation is dope for drums. Add that with the Drum Machine Designer... killer combination! The sequencer is dope too! And yeah, I drag my sounds from Maschine AND the MPC software, LMAO! Dope video fam!

@@DDS825 when I first started Ableton it took two weeks to learn plus you can link it logic. MPC is more difficult for me for some reason.
My Komplete Keyboard started tripping on me too. Unfortunately you can only use it as a Komplete VST but they should've kept it how it was. But Logic is a great addition to Maschine.
I wonder if one of the latest updates had a bug or something. I’m thinking about giving Ableton a shot.
@@DDS825 I like Ableton because it’s really an instrument and a DAW but the UI is too confusing for me lol. I still make my beats in maschine but I export to logic for recording vocals or mastering. Logic’s UI to me is the best.

@@DDS825it’s actually dope, I’ve been using Luna or just making beats in maschine but I knew logic is optimal for my MacBook Pro so I tried is and liked it, I just have to learn how to do hi hat rolls and find what key I’m in for drums bcuz I’m use to the maschine which is easy to do/find
Been using maschine and the NI stuff for years but inside logic, the workflow and integration is great. I wouldn’t use Maschine as a main DAW not even for beatmaking, but as an instance inside of logic is the best workflow, made me sell my mpc3000 and live 2.
See we are opposite. Iol I can’t get with using Maschine in Logic yet. Meanwhile, I loved making beats with Maschine.

Logic is AMAZING. You’re gonna love it. I worked logic with mpds for years. I’m now looking to figure out analog workflow with an mpc 2500 so I guess I’m going the other way lol, but also like you, I will not be ditching logic as you will not be ditching maschine

@@DDS825 you can’t go wrong my man. A huge library of sounds for all kinds of music. There is so much power right at your finger tips. I use battery as well. Amazing library of drum sounds. I make lots of instrumentals just with those Native Instruments products.
I actually never used battery since I have Maschine. Maybe I’ll try it out.

I’m trying to get into logic but that first note with midi not sticking on the one and always have to drag it over keep annoying me and then I hooked up my sp 404 mk2 did audio to record my drum pattern and then the first note on that gets partially cut off or doesn’t record at all all I have my pre count on and all … my other daws don’t do that
I hate when that happens. It doesn't happen all the time. But, when it does.... lol I wonder what the work around for that would be. My main issue with Logic is the browser.

I love my Maschine but the workflow is bit clunky when you work with vocals, how can I use the Machine as my controller and record it all in to logic? I see Maschine as my best instrument like you explained you playing, drums, leads, bass etc on your Mashcine, I do the same but I would like to record it to logic as I think I can do a lot more and its a lot easier
I wouldn't use the Maschine software for vocals at all. I tried it once, and that was the last time. lol You can put your Maschine into MIDI mode and I believe it will allow you to control the transport controls of Logic.
Maschine really not meant to use with vocals In the sense of a song.

lol I’m sure I’ll still use it. It will definitely go with me when traveling etc. But until I can use the Maschine software with the new Kontrol, or there’s an update or something, I’ll be working in Logic for now.
I always switch between my midi keyboard for Logic and Maschine lately. Making beats is a bit harder on the keyboard than the pads to me.
The Maschine pads are top tier for beat making in my opinion. When I am making music in Logic I use the drum sequencer for the drums. But, when I'm working on melodies or chords I enjoy using the Kontrol S61.
Maschine has a lot of things that need to be addressed like the plug in list why am I seeing Effect vsts mixed with Instruments vsts when I’m on the instrument tab looking for a plug in and Lord knows they need to come up with another design for the mixer. We need real faders that lil small fader on that small mixer design isn’t doin fit for me it’s a few other things but that’s the main thing and all that extra crashing
It is time for an update for sure. We’ll have to see what the future holds.

I haven’t used it honestly. I didn’t want to sign up for the subscription. Lol
I went from Reason to Pro Tools to Maschine to Logic. I use Reason and Maschine as plugins in Logic, I program my drums in Maschine then export to Logic which has been a huge pain for a log time with no fixes in sight. I really want to use the DMD in Logic but you cant browse samples while the music is playing, WTF? so Im kinda stuck using Maschine in Logic. Im praying Logic will fix the sample browsing or Maschine will have an update to export a group of sounds individually instead of one by one.
I hope Logic fixes their browser soon. That would make Logic even better. I don’t mind having to drag from Maschine to the DMD. But, group importing would be nice!

As a longtime Logic user, have you considered using Ableton? I find that it's a better DAW for creativity...but Logic is still better for organizing and mixing workflow.
People keep telling me to try Ableton. I might give it a shot honestly.
I use software and run it through hardware!!!! Better results instead of mixing inside the box 📦 get you a good mixer and a 500 series!!!
I use maschine inside logic for drums and other stuff much faster work flow in my opinion. Logic Pro User since 2009 and maschine since 2010

Even though there are a few things I/everyone am waiting for Logic to add, I’d update it. But not until I squeeze the last drop of midi blood out of my trash can mac. Probably won’t get Mac Studio until next year. 🎹♥️

Dawg I wanna tell you… you actually had me get a Maschine and the komplete control years ago and I’m not on it any more lol.. I was wondering why you didn’t go back to Fl Studio when FL Studio is sooooo good. Imma a MPC guy now and bounce down to FL.. but curious bro.
FL Studio was where I got my start. After I went to other DAWs and tried FL again, it never felt the same. I tried plenty of times. lol

3:38 was one of the reasons I stopped using Logic Pro years ago. I couldn't get used to it. But everyone is different, we all have our own preferences as far as for music creation. I just stick with Maschine (producing) and Pro Tools (record, mix and master)
They need to fix that browser bro. There's no excuse for that. That's probably why I never really dived into Logic before. But, with the way you can drag and drop from Maschine to Logic is great if you have multiple screens. I literally keep Maschine open while making beats just so I can easily get the sounds I am looking for. Like I said Maschine isn't going anywhere, I just want to use this beautiful keyboard. And while doing that, I'm learning more about Logic and having fun.
@@DDS825 I hear ya. Even though I know I can probably accomplish the same with Pro Tools, I do not want to jinx my already flawless workflow. I still want to use the new keyboard, even though it is a huge letdown that it is not integrated with the Maschine software.
@@jaunti That’s exactly why I continued to use the MK2 until it started glitching. I was hoping the MK3 would be integrated by now. We can only hope for the future.
@@DDS825 right. Someone said NI isn’t going to integrate the MK3 at all but I still have hope, I just don’t understand why they haven’t done it by now. All we can do is hope for the best.
That sucks. I read at one point they were going to do something that would make it somewhat work, but that was supposed to be done last year. I haven’t heard or read anything new about that since.
Maschine in Cubase is the JAM 🎉
I haven’t used Cubase personally. I do know a few people who do use Maschine with it.

I’m so used to using the Maschine software that I just can’t get into using it as a vst.
@@DDS825 all you gotta to do is open up maschine as a stereo plugin and make sure There Are empty scenes Where you dont want drums etc. it takes some time getting used to having two sequencers going at once but When you got it down its so easy to use
@@JNSNOTHINGLESS I’ve done it before. When I’m using Maschine I like to have transport control and also if I’m using the chord or scale functions I’d like to have everything synced up. To do that I’d have to make all my melodies and what not inside of the plugin. I know there are some work arounds, but the Maschine software works so smoothly. Lol
I love making beats in Maschine and just dragging the parts over to Logic as audio files.
I’ve done that in the past. It didn’t last too long. Lol

@@DDS825 Yep, doing drumwork (chops and edits) in the Machine workflow, but sequencing, doing effects and mixdowns at the track level in Logic. If there's a better way to get drums out of Machine than the drag method or using Maschine as a VST I am here to receive that knowledge.

It’s been a minute and I get it but if Native Instruments ever creates a Daw You already know that it’s Game over for some…. I don’t believe they will venture into that direction but if they do or merge with someone that has a daw. Wow lights out !!!!!! Keep doing these DDS825 ……I’ll check in later ….
I agree, I big upgrade to the software would be great! It may bring people back over. I just want the Kontrol MK3 to work. lol We'll have to see what the future holds.

Crazy I been thinking about switching to logic as a Maschine user. I would always make my beats in Maschine then bounce it so I can mix it in Pro tools. (Where I feel the most comfortable recording,Mixing and Mastering.
I always had love for Logic. It was always my side piece to Pro Tools when whatever Pro tools would acted up 😂
But with all the recent updates logic been making in the last couples years I’m looking like it might be time to switch over the logic. 😂🤷🏾♂️

I started using both Logic and Pro Tools at the same time in 2010. Chose to go with Logic. I use Pro Tools if a client sends me a ptx file but other than that Logic is way better.
I tried making a beat in pro tools years ago, never went back. Lol The only way I’d use it is if I’m recording someone.

Maschine was great years ago, it lost me when they started changing stuff in the daw. I stopped making beats, because of it. I few months ago I got a MPC one plus. The MPC is the best thing out. I was blown away with everything.
I still think Maschine is great, it just needs some changes. The fact that I could use the new keyboard with it, is what pushed me over to Logic. I keep hearing good things about MPC. I'm just not sure if I want to learn a new system right now.

Logic is smooth.
I started down the path to switch from Ableton to Logic but after a few weeks, I'm on my way back to Ableton. Logic is good, but Ableton fits modern Beat making workflow better than Logic. Logic is good for more traditional composer/songwriter type workflow.
People keep telling me about Ableton. Y’all are really making me wonder if I should give it a shot.
@nativeinstruments users are leaving in troves. lack of updates or even attention for Maschine. Most people went to Maschine thinking it was an MPC meets DAW. it turned out to be lacking in both departments.
I think it's just Maschine users that are moving to other devices. NI is still making great sounds etc. But, Maschine needs some love.

Making beats is way faster with Maschine. Logic Beats maschine because it’s a DAW. Maschine is halfway there. I think they’re cooking up to make it a DAW and will eventually work with Kontrol MK3.
I agree with you! I know Maschine like the back of my hand, so it's super easy and quick to make beats in. I just want the Kontrol MK3 to work and a few upgrades on the software side, then I'll be back to Maschine only. lol

I thought you always used logic as part of your workflow
I've been using Logic for mixing purposes mainly. I'd go back and forth to make beats from time to time. But, I was mainly making music in Maschine. Now, I only really use Maschine when I'm making videos. I wanted to use the Kontrol S61, so I had to compromise.
Dope. For me, I still don’t like using maschine plugin inside of logic. I build a basic arrangement in maschine stand alone and then import it to logic to mix, finalize arrangement and add some ear candy.
@@davidrios9033 I agree. I couldn't get used to using Maschine inside of Logic. We have a similar workflow, I used to do the same, except I would build the entire beat inside of Maschine and add the finishing touches in Logic.

Do you use Logic?
Nah brodie stay over there in logic land we dont need you! Jk ha its all good i use multiple daws all the time as well. As far as stem separation i use audacity then load it into maschine works very well. I use maschine in song mode unlike you i dont use ideas mode dont quite fully understand it, but its still not that usefull if you still have to switch back to song mode just to finish sequencing n aranging a beat. If you can finish sequencing n aranging all in ideas mode that would be intresting, but most people i see use it then switch back to song mode to finish the beat. So i dont see the purpose in that so i do everything in song mode still to this day. Also i agree maschine is not that easy to use as a plugin.
😂 I’ll still be back and forth. Ideas mode in Maschine is great for structuring everything out and then just laying it all out in song mode with a few clicks of the on the Maschine. But, for me it’s like I’m arranging in my head while working in ideas mode so it’s easier to put it in song mode. Once you’ve become used to using the Maschine hardware, it’s hard to get used to using it as a plugin, in my opinion.

a native instrument keyboard just stop working with native instruments software? that doesn't just happen. i feel like you're leaving out something(s) important.
If you are referring to what I said in the video, I am talking about my Komplete Kontrol MK2. It is going on 7 years old. Some of the knobs, buttons, etc aren't working the way they used to. Which is to be expected with a device that was used almost daily over that time span. I was currently using it in Maschine until it stopped working properly. However, I cannot use the new Kontrol S61 (MK3) inside of the Maschine software, outside of it just being a basic keyboard with no control or features.
Maschin software is full of bugs.. It works well wth logic as plugin infact

Maschine inside logic
I personally just don't enjoy the workflow when doing that. In my experience, I wasn't able to use the transport control and that was driving me crazy. lol

I have. It just wasn't my main workspace. I usually created everything in Maschine and then mixed in Logic. Now, I am creating in Logic. I will also be posting more Logic videos.

@dds825 you know that you can open Maschine in Logic and track out sounds individually onto logic tracks.
Yes I’ve done that in the past. I’m used to using the Maschine software, so using it that way drove me crazy.
Hell is about to freeze!!!!!!! Yep I’m on ableton now!! A lot less headache now

If they fix mp3,browser, and piano roll add some AI then I’ll be back!!
MP3 support would definitely be a plus. That’s been needed for years. I do like the browser, it’s very simple.
