Firstly, his bodyguards all had families and defended him even when they could have very easily betrayed him during the invasion.
Secondly, his underground bunkers were for himself and his family because he feared all of his houses being attacked after the bombing of his compound by Raegan.
Thirdly, Gaddafi preferred slavs because most slavs felt sympathy for him, because he funded their countries' development after the collapse of the USSR. A former Serb nurse of his admits this in an interview roughly 5 years after his death. She also says the stories about Gaddafi's sexual exploits were crap.
May Allah grant peace to Muammar Gaddafi and reward him for his efforts.
