The Owens incident was unfortunate but easily explained.
For a penalty, one umpire stands behind the goals to get a clear view of the penalty being taken. The second umpire stands by one of the posts to check if the ball crosses the line. The referee then stands on the opposite side of the goals to that second umpire. Now Owens realised he was on the wrong side of the box just as the penalty was being taken but he never checked with the penalty taker before he walked across to his correct position. He should have checked with the penalty taker before making his move.

Losing that Leinster final last year has scars left on the Galway team

Galway were dirt before the leinster final collapse last year. As the lads were saying kk were missing 4 or 5 starters last week and galway came from behind and scraped a draw at home. If they hadnt fire in their belly last sunday after all the recent defeats to kk in front of their own crowd the writing was on the wall.
Henry not improving them. I heard a stat from the winning minor squads that won 3 or 4 all irelands only 2 players have made the breakthrough. Presisting with lads that have failed for years is very poor. Galway wont have it easy the next 2 matches. Henry will have to forget the big money and leave the west
