Looks like the 5080 is confirmed to be 1200. Not as bad as i expected and i still dont believe the 5090 will be 2400 to 2600. Zotac leaked theres by accident at 1800 but looks like it may be 2k+. But we shall see!
I saw leaked prices of $2,600 from youtuber "EdgeRunner’s tech". If that's true that would be f'ing greeeeeeedy. I bought my 4090 brand new in 2022 on amazon for $1449.99 for a lightning sale "mistake on amazon end" on a msi gaming trio and it's been the best graphics card I've ever had as terms as generation leap in performance. For 3440x1440p gaming my 4090 doesn't struggle in a single game I play at max settings everything with no dlss. And if I need frames dlss is there. Plus gta 6 won't be out until 2027-27 or maybe even later for pc which is well into rtx 6000 series and that's when I will want / need an upgrade for sure for that game alone. Nvidia is going to have to have some amazing tech that's only available for the 50 series to get me to upgrade and get my money. If it's only dlss 4 that's an easy pass being I never use dlss in the first place but might in the future but no games on the horizon I want besides gta6. Other wise if it is truly $2,600 that an easy f*** no from me because no graphics card this generation is going to be msrp. ai boom will take up all the high end cards and crypto is back and coming back stronger everyday so all the low end / high end / low end cards will be sold out just like the 30 series again for mining. That's the prediction a lot are saying and if that's the case my 4090 was truly the best purchase I could have made for myself in 2022. Just going to re-paste it at the 3 year mark later this year and keep sending it.
Nice setup 20 percent improvement isn't that noticeable so if you were getting 100 fps in the racing game you'll see 120fps. Nah i'd have held off and upgraded when the difference would be atleast 60 percent. For the most part a 4080 will just feel the same as a 4070.
That is true but the iRacing sim is weird to benchmark. It's known for having bad stutters due to low 1%'s. Like you'll have great high fps's for the whole game but there is certain parts of tracks that are extremely intensive and it'll bring down your FPS to the 30-40's when i had my 4070SUPER. Now my lowest 1%'s are about 60-85FPS 1%'s and I don't get stutters anymore. Overall you are correct though, It wasn't a significant upgrade but it should last me for a long time. Not to mention that it will be challenging to get ahold of next gen Nvidia cards.. on top of the outrageous prices that are rumored.
@@louiienation8497 yh i hear you but most pc games will stutter at the start and occasionally in the middle of a game thats just the nature of a pc with windows running in the background and other resources. A pc is not dedicated to gaming like a console. it hurts me to say this but a console will not stutter on fortnite or other games at the start like a pc can. So buying the 4080 to prevent stuttering is not a valid idea its literally just 20% improvement that's all you'll get. I went from a i5 9400f to i7 11700k thought i'd see a big performance difference but it ended up being 6-27% depending on game, i've learnt to leave the upgrade for future market instead of current market to be worth it.
