yes literally break everything. The leaves and wood and metal you collect early game will help with the Timber and Titanium in the later game. (leaves can be used for as fuel source)
Got the game 4 hours ago and am already in love. Another good thing for beginners would be to dig around with the shovel once you have it. Not the quickest way, but once I got the shovel I started digging around the map and to my surprise got a bunch of stuff from leaves to medal and those blue things I forgot what they're called. I was digging random places, doesn't have to be any specific place like I saw in some VODs, even though specific places for diggin do give you more useful resources or a better quantity of it from what I saw in the vods, but still I liked it :)
easier way to kill the big puking guys, just walk around them in a circle and if you're about to run into their acid back up then go around them, they turn very slowly. Same for the big robot at the bottom right of the map that had a battery
Yep, absolutely essential despite my brain constantly telling me to ignore those telephone poles because they're "just scenery". Even better: a fully(?) upgraded wrench can knock out the smaller metal light poles for TWO steel per pole.
Yo the time boxes tip saved my life! I thought I had to speedrun the game to get them. Like the timer starts when the game does cuz I try to avoid respawning enemies so it would say like 1,600 seconds. TYSM!

Wood scraps are better, you use the leaves for more stuff

I’m level 30 I think but I’ve been breaking them with the bat fully leveled up but the telephone poles around roads are a great way to get steel
