We need transportation in the woods too!! This summer I think we find a few
ya know... a skidsteer can drag a log out of the woods leaving the same trail as a 4 wheeler and it can lift the log onto the sawmill. And.... if there is snow on the driveway it's almost as much fun!

Nate, been making maple syrup for 40 years. The price per lb is to low for bulk. I just want to make you aware that new tariffs on canada might bring pricing up
@michaelpatz9365 If I were a betting man, I would say the same thing. I dont speculate anymore. I dont think maple is immune to the same problems other agricultural products go through. Sometimes, milk and corn and soybeans and beef are upside-down. Thats my concern for maple. It is pretty low right now. I 💯 agree. However, it can go lower if the CAD takes a hit against the USD.
I would say 70/30 maple goes up with a tariff. But I have no more knowledge than anyone else. It is just a guess.
So do you buy syrup in barrels from a broker then like bascom does
@VaughanTaftjr the same, but different. We like sending people back with their drums. It is a waste to ship drums around.
Yes I was thinking same thing alot of handling seems very time consuming and expensive for the buyer which in turn is more than likely passed onto the seller

How many drums / totes to a transport?
It depends on the packaging. A semi-truck can haul ~40,000lbs.
