So excited to watch this! Never had a good grasp of this game until I watched your tutorial series a while back. Thank you for such quality let’s plays! ✌🏻
Just recently learned you can drive vehicles in city skylines, if your are on ps4 and you press the touch pad to enter explore mode and then hold the triangle button, options will appear the top option is free camera, bottom left option is walk, bottom right options is drive. If you choose walk it allows you to walk around as a citizen, if you hold L2 you can zoom in until you hit 1st person, if you choose drive you can explore the city with a vehicle, you can swap the look of the person or car with the D-pad. If you hit L3 while driving or walking it will show you how to control the character or car. I honestly just learned about this and never knew it existed, yes I just got my first ever city running thanks to you Move the mouse, but I played a lot before just with the unlimited money cheat on, I have no clue when this was added but it is really neat and if you use the person it gives you a great sense of scale for the buildings, as naturally they look relativity small in the overhead camera view. It has no point other than exploration but it's still neat nonetheless
I really appreciate the commentary on this vid, I always have a hard time starting up my cities especially on the console because the controls aren't the easiest to use so having unit measurements and step by step instruction on ideal starting build helps soooo much!!!
I gotta say, man, I'm really enjoying your videos. Excellent production and better explanations for in-game mechanics than I've seen on other channels. I picked up Cities: Skylines a while ago and just started playing it in the last week or so. Your 'updated for 2018' tutorial series was mega helpful getting started. Keep up the great work!
This season is going to be amazing already hooked again! Keep the hard work up we can all see how hard your working and it shows much love as always 🤙🏻
Hey, I've watched all of season 1 and i'm glad you're continuing with a new season. Love the game play. You give good instructions while being entertaining.
I love your content, I'm a new player to City Skylines. I play on PS4 and the slow paced tutorials and detailed explanations really help me out a lot. Thank you, I'm a new subscriber..
I recently found your channel and I just want to say that i really like your videos! The longer videos are the best and It's great that you're showing all the details and how you're doing things!
READ THIS IF YOU’RE NEW TO THIS GAME! (Not clickbait)!! I’ve just been nerding out for the past hour or so as I found a really cool feature. Not sure if it’s part of this dlc or a vanilla but when you’re in camera mode. If you hold triangle (PS4) you can choose whether to be a free camera (default), a car or a person. Zoom out to go 3rd person and zoom right in to be 1st person. I haven’t actually seen this on any RUclips videos I’ve watched or even advertised in the release notes. If you choose car, you can drive around the city using X and Square to reverse. Press right to change the vehicle. Speed and steering is a bit off but still quite fun also there’s no collision with other vehicles but you will crash into lampposts. The best mode though is person. Where you can walk around your city and get to places you can’t with the normal camera. Plonk your self on top of a building, explore the train station. You can even walk through through certain buildings or go and stand in the basketball court. Right on dpad to change character where you can be a kid, adult, dog or even a seagull (where you can fly around the map and even under water). Again speed and control is a bit whack but really good fun. Just wish you could use public transport. X to jump, XX to double jump.
Got my pass yesterday, good job 👍🏻 Some new controls when you push the will up and up again it brings up all the buildings for that utility. Is very handy. An FYI in case u haven’t seen it yet
If I choose left hand traffic but still follow your layout do you think this impacts traffic etc, so for example if you are using default hand traffic (right) and you build a industry area off to the right if I do the same with left hand traffic does this impact the traffic flow?
It's a fun challenge not having the mods, though I hear those may be coming to Xbox. Also the UI is easier to see for viewers on mobile, and also its a niche. Not many console based Cities Skylines creators. But I will be doing a PC build soon (if my rig can capture and stream and play all at the same time without too much performance loss)
I know this is over a year old, and perhaps you've changed your thought process, but I've come to find that I can run 13% for tax rates for a long time. The nice thing about this is that when someone does start to complain, you can just drop it down a percent point and make people happy. By the time this happens, usually tax policies are available for district, so I can use that to make further adjustments (a percent or two for higher end stuff)
@@MoveTheMouse cool! Thank you! You are the best Cities: Skylines player because you are very helpful. You seem to not edit a whole lot which I like. Others edit way too much and some are not very helpful for those that want to try and test their skills without mods.
Yes all docs will be on console from PC...the company did interviews about it, one day we will have docs release same day on console and PC so season 3 will happen too... PS use water towers, I use those and only sewage outputs.
So I tried building this and when I go off the roundabout for the residential area my roads arent straight they are at an angle so I lose zoning spaces until I but the tile above it
Season pass includes Green Cities, Industries, Park Life, European Suburbia and three radio stations. What’s your opinion on this but no Concerts and no Pearl from the East?
This is probably a very dumb question, but is there a quick way to know how many units you're making a road before you put it down? Is there an automated counter somewhere that I've overlooked? I just wouldn't want to count each click to ensure I'm measuring correctly.
Got it as soon as the update happened not to happy with the "Added content" get 5 new trees District looks unlimited soil on cheat mode in the initial update noise overhaul is good though tad more realistic I think 🤘🏻
I can't even play mine. Bought season pass 2 and now anytime I go to try and play whether it was my old map or a new one it just freezes up. Already uninstalled and reinstalled on xbox one
Hopefully they get that fixed with a patch. You can also try clearing the cached data on the Xbox before reinstalling. Sometimes that will do the trick.
@@MoveTheMouse I did and it still didn't do it. But I had someone post in a group I'm in to go into the settings and maximize the safe screen and it loaded up just fine. Got into the game brought the safe screen back down to normal and now no problems. Enjoy the videos also
I need help, I about to but a new DLC pack, I already have natural disasters but now I'm wanting either Snowfall or green city's, I can only pick 1 currently and I'm at a loss whether or not to get green city's or snow fall, I want snowfall because well snow lol but greencitys could solve a lot of pollution problems which would be nice, also have mass transit but that doesn't really shine too me for some reason yes it would probably be extremely useful but I'm going to get snowfall and green city's before mass transit, snowfall addes another public transit as it adds those train things (forgot what they're called) anyway what adds more content, and what is more challenging (snowfall seems like it adds more if a challenge as you have to keep citizens warm and keep roads clear of sbow, as green city's seems to be easier as it sounds like it'll just about eliminate pollution problems but I haven't played neither one so I don't know.) Would appreciate suggestions, also will be watching this series to see what green citys has to offer
jessie slaughter the only additions are unlimited ore and oil, and unlimited soil. Both default mods built into the PC version. The mods section of the menu is for community created buildings that can be added in. Nothing too exciting. I’d love to see MoveIt come to console.

It's hard to find youtubers with good audio, thanks for having good audio and no random volume changes.
I have found you can actually move the recycling anytime it doesn't fill up like garbage does.

So glad I get to watch a series as it happens instead of months later!! Loving it so far!
Hopefully 2 more episodes this weekend. Saturday and Sunday :-)
Aw, glad youre making a new series😸 I just subbed recently from your super helpful tutorials!

Just got to try this out and it's a very cool feature. I'll be showing this off at the start of episode 7, which should go up Wednesday.
@@MoveTheMouse Awesome!! I look forward to watching it. Thanks for replying.
Just found your channel and I'm hooked!!! Good work!
i love your videos! I'm so glad I found this channel!
finished your last series very helpful and just enjoyable to watch, so stoked when I looked today and found this :-)
I love the tutorial slash builds❤️ cause I can rly seen in depth what you do
cant wait to give this game a go Im still having a blast on Anno 2205, ty man GJ~
Awesome season thus far, can't wait to see where the series will head.
Got my pass yesterday, good job 👍🏻

Really enjoying this series! So relaxing to watch and your voice is awesome!
I just subscribed to your channel. Awesome videos! I’ve been enjoying S4 so far and just stared this one. Greetings from Costa Rica 🇨🇷
it's funny, you set this city up similar to how I started my last town.
Small channel! This channel has more subs than people in my town
I had around 1,000 when this video was recorded.
When are they going to get rid of that STUPID road thing where you have to build a tiny road to unlock others!!
Starting this city while I’m waiting for the new episode 👍 so hooked
Latest episode just went up ;-)
Yes, Parklife and Industries are coming to console later this year with the Season 2 Pass 😁
Park life and Industries are so interesting, I am playing on PC and Xbox
BULLSHIT, by the way, that they decided to split things up into 2 passes. I would have never bought it had I known they planned to do that.
What does parklife and industries add? I'm assuming park and industrial options?
nice! i came to this video cause i need a start for my city this looks pretty neat
Nice job , very efficient starter city
As a new comer, I think you for keeping it simple. 😄
Also, looking forward to your new build coming up. 🙂
Hey don't even play the game but enjoy your content very well spoke to good work
First time i've seen someone play on console on RUclips!
Low energy commentary for low energy gameplay makes for a let's play that's easy to watch. Keep that low energy up.
Thanks...I think :-)
Yay! I have been eager to see some new cities content!
If I choose left hand traffic but still follow your layout do you think this impacts traffic etc, so for example if you are using default hand traffic (right) and you build a industry area off to the right if I do the same with left hand traffic does this impact the traffic flow?
Great series! I noticed you mentioned something about PC, is there a reason why you would play console over it?
It's a fun challenge not having the mods, though I hear those may be coming to Xbox. Also the UI is easier to see for viewers on mobile, and also its a niche. Not many console based Cities Skylines creators. But I will be doing a PC build soon (if my rig can capture and stream and play all at the same time without too much performance loss)
In the description of the season pass 2, they mention that Parkside and industries are coming to ps4 this year.
I know this is over a year old, and perhaps you've changed your thought process, but I've come to find that I can run 13% for tax rates for a long time. Are you gonna do a season 2 of Lakefield or is that done? Just curious.
We could come back to that for at least a few episodes. I think it would be good to look back on and see what I can fix.
@@MoveTheMouse cool! Thank you! You are the best Cities: Skylines player because you are very helpful. You seem to not edit a whole lot which I like. Others edit way too much and some are not very helpful for those that want to try and test their skills without mods.
😮 so many good tips in this video!
You know you can’t be lazy! 😄
Know for a fact that Park Life and Industries is coming. European Suburbia is also available now
Great idea, green cities love drinking sewage
Love your videos keep them coming
thank you for these
good tutorial men im new on pc so it helps a lot
Just sub and really enjoy ur vids bro
So does Green Cities allow you to get rid of those polluting starter industries eventually?
Yes all docs will be on console from PC...the company did interviews about it, one day we will have docs release same day on console and PC so season 3 will happen too... PS use water towers, I use those and only sewage outputs.
Is the temperature gage part of an DLC?
So I tried building this and when I go off the roundabout for the residential area my roads arent straight they are at an angle so I lose zoning spaces until I but the tile above it
Season pass includes Green Cities, Industries, Park Life, European Suburbia and three radio stations. What’s your opinion on this but no Concerts and no Pearl from the East?
Concerts is a pretty cool addition, but I like Park Life and Green Cities best, so I'm glad to see those made the cut.
Can you go past the milestones for people in your cities or does it cap at that specified number???
You can go past those numbers. It just determines when certain things are unlocked.
You have eco outlet unlocked right at the beginning
So is it just Xbox that has the mods option, or did I miss something for ps4
“Mods” are custom buildings. Not actual mods. You’re not missing much.
This is probably a very dumb question, but is there a quick way to know how many units you're making a road before you put it down? Is there an automated counter somewhere that I've overlooked? I just wouldn't want to count each click to ensure I'm measuring correctly.
Sorry, each line is 10 units
Heh. I guess I never noticed that. Thanks!
The big lines are 10 units and they appear at 5. Makes counting longer road segments easier.
I'm trying to figure out why mine's keep on freezing...love playing this game
I learned today
Ps4 has the updates!🙌
Got it as soon as the update happened not to happy with the "Added content" get 5 new trees District looks unlimited soil on cheat mode in the initial update noise overhaul is good though tad more realistic I think 🤘🏻
Sweet
Can you only do green cities on the specific maps?
The DLC comes with a few maps but you can use the content on any map.
U deserve more views
Mi opinión es que el próximo video pongas "desbloquear todos los hitos y tener dinero infinito"
i didnt get a notification reeee
do the new dlc's cover old saves or is making a new city necessary for using them
Current saves should be fine
I can't even play mine. Bought season pass 2 and now anytime I go to try and play whether it was my old map or a new one it just freezes up. Already uninstalled and reinstalled on xbox one

@@MoveTheMouse k I'll probably get green city's or wait until that industrial dlc drops for ps4
Cake. Cake. Cake. C a. K e
Anyone else think it is just scummy that you have to pay separately for another season pass or is it just me?
It is a lot of content though. But I've bought all the DLC twice now, on Xbox and on PC, so it's getting pretty expensive.
People can get SICK from NOISE?!
Noise pollution has its own tab in info views.
Wouldn't you get sick if you lived next to a subway? I'd lose my mind! Lol
Hey bro
Hey bro 😘
Is green cities on Xbox one ?
Came out this week. Park Life and Industries coming soon too.
First

What are the mods that came with the update.
jessie slaughter the only additions are unlimited ore and oil, and unlimited soil. Both default mods built into the PC version. The mods section of the menu is for community created buildings that can be added in. Nothing too exciting. I’d love to see MoveIt come to console.
@@MoveTheMouse ok thats the one mod the game really need
Kinda redundant playing green cities & dropping a power station down 😂
What about noise pollution
