True. The opposite is happening in other parts of the world, 🇺🇦 🇬🇪 and at least a quarter of the Middle East and Africa. I accidentally read a news on AP 25 killed over Shia and Sunni in Pakistan, yet here we see people, choirs, from different continents, countries, kingdoms and Churches celebrating the rise of Notre Dame. What does that say to you?

I really hope the comments in this thread are satire. GD and BZ are by far two of the most overrated conductors today and rely on slick marketing of themselves and their images to cover up their lacking musicality. Neither are taken seriously by educated music lovers and every GD concert I’ve been to has been a major disappointment.

Merci Maestro! Merci Mr Latry! Mille mercis!

Merci. Congratulations on the reopening of Notre-Dame. Last time I visited this pristine cathedral was in 2008. Thank you for the restoration.

this is one of my most favorite pieces of music ever, and to hear it played with such joy and triumph in a beautiful place that has finally been made whole again is everything i needed today 👏🥹

This is hands-down the best rendition of the Saint Saens Symphony 3... LOVE IT LOVE IT

This just proves that you don't know that symphony. This wasn't that entire symphony; this wasn't even an entire movement from that symphony, but merely an excerpt heavily cut for the occasion.

You obviously haven't heard the Frankfurt Radio symphony orchestra play it! It's on you-tube.

I agree, best I've ever heard. The tempos were perfect and there was such great articulation in the strings. All of this went with an organ that sounded tremendous!
