If the people who made Yonder went all in and did the animal crossing thing with personalized islands they would do amazing with their graphics and lighting.
I thought "My time at Portia" was disappointing in the dialogue and story - my version on the Switch was very laggy. 🌟 That said "Yonder-The cloud catcher chronicles" was throughly enjoyable despite the lack of story. I played it for hours. ❤
"like" Animal Crossing. I bet you will find maybe 2 since this about the only ones I could find. I can be proven wrong. Garden Paws is a farming/shop sim. You don't have a village/town that you build up, nor get to choose who live there. There are also no mini games for you to play with residents. Stardew Valley is a Harvest Moon game (or more accurately Rune Factory), farming being the focus. AC is not a farming sim. Hokko Life, the first game that you have correctly listed as similar to AC. My Time At Portia is another game Similar to the farming sims such as Rune Factory. You aren't creating a space for people you choose to live in. Your interactions are also more based towards the same kind of thing you find in Rune Factory games. Alchemy Story, another farming sim. AC isn't a farming sim. Yonder: The cloud Catcher Chronicals. Been meaning to play this. I really don't know enough to comment on it.Given the reviews, AC isn't an exploration game, nor a game with conflict. Spirit Farer, again doesn't fit due to exploration, and is highly story driven too. Ooblets is a blend of pokemon and card game, farming on one hand to get pets, to build a deck for battle. You don't do this in AC. Story Of Seasons - basically just saying Harvest Moon, a farming sim, is like Animal Crossing. The Sims 4 - ooo. Close. It is a social, or life sim. I think you got me there. Never considered it. It's just so much more than what AC has. The one you missed was Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times, which is basically a spin-off.
My favorite harvest sim is Harvest Stella by Squer Enix it has the storytelling and Fighting of a Final Fantasy Game and the Farming from Story of Seasons
The Sims 4 killed the series because of the small area you get compared to the previous games. I say get The Sims 2. Did you know Story of Seasons was formally Harvest Moon?

Same. I wish the Yonder people would make a game with Yonder's graphics, but Animal Crossing's style.
