Tunnel so long, I had to pause and make myself a sandwich! So very glad to see your return, I was afraid you had given up. Thank Martin for setting me back on your trail!
Thanks Andrew. That means a lot coming from a pro like yourself. Hope all is good up on the Llangollen. I can't wait to get back on the boat and go exploring next year.
I’m with Spike, I’d be freaking out in that tunnel and hiding in the boat. When you said “they’ve re-sealed this bit, there’s obviously been a cave in” - I felt sick 🤢
Every time I see someone going through that tunnel it seems more intimidating than the last. But then I think about the poor bastards who dug the hole with nothing more than picks and shovels (and maybe some gunpowder?) and the countless crews who legged it through pushing heavy freight with nothing but oil lamps or candles to light the way. No way any modern folks would take THOSE jobs.
Thanks for watching John. I couldn't agree more. Worst thing is that this is actually the 2nd tunnel build 50 years after the first due to its partial collapse. I think James Brindly built the first and Thomas Telford built the 2nd.
Great video. & filming .how did you manage to hold the camera for so long! Very interesting tunnel & hearing about the stories from other people. I could definitely not do that tunnel so low in places ! I agree with the above . Had to stop it a few times to breathe.! Look forward to the new videos Thanks
Thanks for watching. Yes the camera did start to get a bit heavy. Just getting the boat ready to travel then plan to head off next week so should have a video out soon. Enjoy your day 🙂
Just catching up with your vids, looks a great way of life. Going to book a canal holiday and see if I like the idea, seriously tempted to swap the way I live before I get to old. Take care 👍
Hi Del, I’ve been without tablet for awhile now, I missed your vids. Hope you Archie and Spike are well, how come no more recent vlogs, hope all is well. Take care.
Hi Caroline. We are fine thanks. I've been really busy since returning from Spain so havnt had the time . I will be uploading another vid soon. Take care Del and the hounds.
@@Boatdog_Traveller 4 boats went through inc there’s, but what I can’t understand is the carbon monoxide alarms never went off inside there boat? Love your videos xx

Thanks Cyndi. I'm back on the boat now after being away in Spain. We're slowly getting everything ready for 2023. Thanks for watching 👍
Even sitting comfortably in my room I felt claustrophobic watching you go through that tunnel. Great vlog. Thanks
Thanks for watching Fred 👍
Egg whisk as a propeller 😂😂

Yes it was quite powerful. Thanks for watching 👍
My god wonder how many people slogged their guts in building that long tunnel? Think I be joining Spike inside your lovely boat.

It's a good life but can be hard in the winter. I would never go back to a house and be a full time wage slave again. Thanks for watching 👍

Sorry I haven't got a clue Nathan. Thanks for watching 👍

My neighbour went through this, they didn’t put the exacter fans on, they nearly died…and yes I’m serious
I can relate to that. It must have been awful. Thanks for watching Rachel 👍
