I saw Roger Chapman with Family in 1971 at a festival in Belgium. He was not programmed but was passing through with his band. Hearing about the festival and that Colosseum was performing also - and having some time of course - he came in and gave us a really great concert.

It is amazing to know male youngsters around the world in the 1970s spoke the universal Esperanto language of zeppelin, sabbath and purple! Roger Chapman's solo efforts were never released here in Malaysia. I will check out. One question. Was he a member of Family, the prog rock band?

Phil, for a short time I was worried that there was not going to be a booklet included. Roger is one of the great UK rock voices. Although there are a few double CD compilations out there, I feel the band Family are due the box set treatment. They were not around for long but enjoyed hit albums and charting singles so I think they more than qualify.

Nice video Phil that looks like an interesting box set! I really like Roger Chapman`s vocal on a Mike Batt song called `Run Like The Wind` which I have on 7".
It`s amazing how many artists there are on the Cherry Red label at the moment. Looking to buy a Miller Anderson album from them when it is re-issued in August. I have the two disc definitive versions of the first four Bucks Fizz albums on Cherry Red and I would say they are possibly the best sounding CD`s I own. Fantastic mastering!

Hi Sjhue, Cherry Red are certainly expanding the range of artists they release and represent. I agree this is a good this as many fans like us enjoy a wide range of music. Phil

I must confess that when I previously heard Family, Rogers voice was a bit off-putting. I don't know if I am imagining it, but the print looks larger than the Steve Ellis box.

Hi Robert, the text is a lot larger in this set! I still struggle will early Family albums due to the intensity of Chapmans voice - phil
