Same here. I drank a lot of lemonade in my early teenage years, and when I went the dentist at 16, he showed me how much damage I did to my enamel on my two top front teeth. I was such an ignorant not thinking how much damage fizzy drinks can do.
the education aspect isn’t there, we need to show kids and teens the gruesome effect that bad food has on their teeth and explain that they’ll have the same set for the rest of their lives and the cost for parents and the (ir)reversible nature of cavities
Thank you teeth talk girl, I went to a dentist for the first time in 10 years yesterday and got my first of 4 deep cleanings today. I felt bad for the hygienist, she had to break out a jackhammer a few times. Just kidding. I was expecting mass pain but she was very gentle and thorough. Quite a few times she mentioned I need to keep up the current routine (your routine) because my mouth should be worse that it is.
Have the same tongue cleaner. I never realized how important it was to clean my tongue until I came across your channel. I noticed how significantly my tongue has gotten pink. My tongue was always white!
SAAAME. I have the same tongue scraper, my best friend has the metal kind that shaped like a “V”, and I asked why she had it. She told me if I wasn’t scraping my tongue, that I needed to get started on it immediately. I have for the last few months, my tongue is nice and healthy pink and my breath smells SO much better! 😁
Thank you for the updated video. I will say that your videos have been a game changer in my routines. Thank you for sharing your routine. It helped me to understand how can I improve my hygiene. I'm binge watching your videos. Great stuff! No one taught me how to look after my teeth besides clean it at least once a day. Now as 28 y.o. I have cavities, my gums starting to recess, all that nasty staff. I decided to do something about it. I'm trying to brush my teeth twice a day (I'm sorry if that sounds gross and weird but it's actually not common to brush your teeth twice a day in my country), flossing at least once a day. I'm thinking about buying electric tooth brush and irrigator. The hardest part for me is trying to brush my teeth more gently and for far less time. Good video! You're very funny 😉 (the periodic table memorization got me dead 🤣) Any advice for sensitive gag reflex? I def can't go as far as you with that tongue scraper 😑 Thanks! 😀
I have a super sensitive gag reflex as well, and the best method I’ve personally found for myself is to kind of “hum” while your tongue is fully extended like that, or make some kind of noise from your throat. That may not work for everyone, but it’s definitely helped for me! I hope it helps!
As a retired hygienist, I use to gag easy too, but I use my tooth brush to brush my tongue. Stat with just the tip of your tongue first, then day by day work the brush back a bit farther. Think of something else while doing it, or stand with one foot off the ground while brushing your tongue, concentrate on holding up your foot. Good luck.
great video idea! will totally add this to my list! generally - no - unless your dental provider tells you otherwise. also it's a good idea to really focus on a good home care routine (brushing, flossing, etc since you now have a clean canvas to keep healthy)! hope this helps! excited to add to my video list! thank you!
Love your videos. You are so naturally beautiful 😍 and great content I was having problems with my morning green smoothie staining my teeth (blueberries and kale) and i usually have some kind of green smoothie. I asked my dentist about the whole softener enamel thing and he said it was ok to use baking soda to neutralize the acid and then brush with it. What do you think? I have been doing it and no more stains but I definitely don’t want to hurt my enamel.

I got my braces off a month ago, and I’ve been using a clear retainer. I just got my Hawley retainer and it is so uncomfortable and it hurts!
