I do love how Retribution were so bad it basically put Wrestletalk's storyline on hold for 20 minutes because they could not stop laughing/ranting and raving.
I'm only coming to this from Pete's last stream, as I didn't watch the longer form content back then, just the news
I'm hoping you saw that too, cuz it is from that frame of reference that I asked is this the reaction they were talking about where they're supposed to hate each other but couldn't because they couldn't stop laughing for 20 minutes? Or is there an even more raw reaction because it was pandemic times and some people were streaming watch alongs or something, with this being a day after thing?
I have noticed they're cold lukewarm and corporate, so that may answer my question. But I appreciate you letting me know if there's anything I'm missing or if this is in fact, it

Man, I feel sorry for Martinez. Had an opportunity with AEW, seemed to have a good thing going on NXT, then this happens ☹️ The rest of them...this is exactly why I stopped watching WWE. Awesome wrestlers, given legitimacy in NXT, absolutely buried on the main roster. NXT’s a great product, but watching it is just sad. You know your favourites will end up leaving and being destroyed on the main roster.

This whole bit is amazing, but I am crying laughing at that part in particular. Emphasis is ALMOST as important as timing for comedy and Luke just nailed it.

I can see Dio Maddin and Dominik Dijakovic coming out the other side as a really good team after Retribution is over. Both are ok on the microphone, solid in the ring and some where in between six and seven foot tall.

Lousy Raw made both couldn't control all the laughes, Luke dropping the F-bomb and the response to Akira Tozawa was eaten by a shark were really all the things I didn't want, but certainly what I need. Great job guys...

If you saw Raw last night, you missed nothing. The horrible quality of that episode bonded them. The show was so bad, they couldn't stay in character. Can't blame em.

Admittedly I don’t watch every day, but I must’ve missed something. How did Luke get rehired? What is he? Shane McMahon? He’s certainly no Mr. Wrestletalk. That lad is class.

I enjoyed the introduction of them with the new masks. I understand peoples criticisms, maybe the names are a bit cheesy but they arent really much different from names like Ax and Smash, Mankind. I think if they keep with this storyline and continue to push it they could make a few new stars out of this.

My God RETRIBUTION was bad maybe the worst debut I ever watch in TV but the one thing I will say is this Remeber last week we wrestlevoter posted on twitter someone leaving I think it Akira Tozawa because a friend of mine in japan message me saying NJPW are trying to sign Tozawa before the year is done and he think it got to do with he good friend Shingo Takagi who in NJPW

The only way they could have turned this around is by saying something like "They wanted to give me a contract so they can call me a stupid name like 'T-bar', and put me on a leash. But we aren't going to play that game, we're here to destroy this place from the inside out".

Only thing I can think of is they realized how bad this was becoming and changed things to not give their real names so that maybe they can be salvaged and repackaged later when this angle eventually fizzles out. But Shane and Vink ... weren’t they already an MVP team? So is slapjack going to turn?
Mr. Brody Lee will be introduced as the leader of the Dark Order... I mean Retribution... then suddenly they’ll get magically better, but still lose every week.

I'm hoping they come out next week with no masks and say something about how they all made names for them selves before signing with nxt then the machine has to mess with that but piggyback off the success before they were signed but as soon as they called up to their so called flagship show Vince tends to throw that all out and usually gives them some terrible name like slapjack or mace and they wanted to show everyone how ridiculous it is.
