I think if they messed up by not revealing them as themselves. Like hearing Mia Yim explain that she hated taking a back seat to Keith and be in his shadow in NXT. (Dominic too) Dio being pushed out of commentary. Mercedes being overlooked. Shane being mad at MVP when they had a short partnership. It's just 5 random people. Ali is the only one to have a storyline or reason.
The first thing Mia/Retaliation's has done in any match since debuting was getting really itchy, she's not even gone near the women's division yet. She needs to either go back to NXT or get away from Retribution.
Right now I am fantasy booking RETRIBUTION better than Vince McMahon. I started Friday from the beginning, I'm already caught up to yesterday, and I'll give a summary a right now. The idea of RETRIBUTION destroying everything go a few weeks stays the same with the additional that they destroy NXT as well. On September 7th Dio Maddin, Dominik Dijakovic, Nick Miller, and Shane Thorne reveal themselves as members of RETRIBUTION and cut a promo saying more of them will soon be revealed. 2 weeks later Cedric Alexander, Ricochet, and Apollo Crews have a match against The Hurt Business who have been hired by WWE General Manager Adam Pierce to take down RETRIBUTION. During the match, the lights flicker and RETRIBUTION comes out. However, both Cedric Alexander and Ricochet leave the ring and stand by their side, revealing themselves to be members, and they all beat up The Hurt Business and Apollo Crews. They explain why in a backstage interview and say their leader will be revealed later that night. Later Mustafa Ali ask The Hurt Business to help talk some sense into Cedric & Ricochet, and during Raw Underground they confront RETRIBUTION alongside Shane McMahon, Apollo Crews, and Adam Pierce. That's when Mustafa Ali reveals himself as the leader and they take out everyone. They trade wins and loses with The Hurt Business from here on out until WWE ends the storyline.
@@ArcaneAzmadi You are 100% correct. Its a shame what happened to the Nexus. They had me hooked to WWE programming for the first few weeks they were around.
I can't wait for the R-Truth vs. Retribution feud for the 28/7 belt. T-Bag beats Truth for the 29/8 belt, Fart beats up T-Bag for the same belt, Mia Yim beats Fart, Slapnuts beats Mia Yim, Ali defeats Slapnuts by The Finger Poke of Doom, Ali wins.... R-Truth pins Ali to become the 1,895 time 30/9 champion ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!?
Retribution is so bad that I have started pity them. Atleast the wrestlers are masked, it would save them some humiliation, but how will Ali shake it off
The problem I have with WWE is they could’ve had something. They’ve proven that they can make a good faction. Look at the Shield. I’m not counting Undisputed Era because that’s Triple H’s territory. But they’ve dragged down all their starts that they could’ve made into mid card acts or even a possible main card one day. No one can take these guys seriously. Even when Retribution is done with. No one will forget this and they’re gonna struggle to get over, and they’re dragging everyone down. I don’t understand how hard it was to make them beat people up and just get some wins. Instead their a Crap gimmick and the company just lost all hope. That also is the problem like Luke was saying. The company won’t blame themselves. They will blame the talent and the fans for not going along with their plans. It’s never a problem with the inside. It’s always our fault. They just don’t see the bigger picture. It’s such a shame. You can’t trust this company to do right anymore. You can only hope they clean up their act. But there’s no chance of that happening anytime soon. Good Luck to all the members of Retribution they will need it.
By the time Ali was revealed sadly he himself wasn’t credible. Why should I care about a faction who’s leader is a guy who loses on Raw and sometimes wrestles on Main Event. It was a bad idea. If Ali was a credible baby face through 2019, maybe facing Bryan at Rumble 2019, winning the IC Championship and having almost weekly defences on TV and maybe beating Styes and Strong at Survivor Series, then have him loose it at say TLC and then he is the Iron Man At The Royal Rumble and maybe he wins a gauntlet match for the Elimination Chamber and is the last one eliminated in the Chamber. That AT LEAST gives him credibility as a baby face so when he turns heel and joins Retribution it’s more shocking and it also gives the group some much needed credibility. I do believe by the end of the year Retribution will be a act on Main Event before fizzing away to where some can get re debuted later on as their original characters like Mia Jim and Dominic Dyjack.
Ali should have had a match for the championship while Kofi was champion (I don't remember it happening if it did) since his injury opened the door for Kofi. As a heel, he should be feuding with Kofi since he never got that title shot. But alas, my idea makes sense and that's a no no in WWE land.
@@rohgenextfan IVE BEEN SAYING THAT SINCE KOFI WON THE BELT. I completely agree. Even if it was just a one night story where Ali get the title shot in the main event. At least that makes sense for the story.
The only way Retribution could work, and I'm saying this back then not now it's too late, is to have the cruiserweights from NXT including Ali to wreck havoc in WWE because they were treated like a joke. The NXT cruiserweight division needs to be relevant and what other way to make them relevant than to tear WWE down to make them a threat. The motivation makes sense, it helps the cruiserweights have credibility and are taken seriously, also it creates a great storyline if the WWE took their time developing it instead of making it a joke.
@@michaelrivera8360 Oh WWE would screw it up one way another but at least the group would have a motivate rather than a group destroying WWE just because.
Retribution is now the best example of why we the fans hate seeing nxt stars going to raw 😅🤔😪
It's funny though, because Slapjack lives up to his name. He keeps getting slapjacked in the ring.
I think Retribution is gonna be the front runner for the Gooker Award this year.

Retribution is far worse than the Nexus. Nexus had potential and didn't have atrocious names, these guys were dead on arrival.
