Listening to this, helps to unlock the message in a way I hadn’t understood before ( and I have been a Christian over 30 year).

The historical background of revelation makes a ton more sense. I am still thinking who the false prophet is. Maybe the false prophet was the leader of Rome? The beast was the empire?

@@1969cmp Shane does a great job in his videos looking at the historical alignments of Rome and revelation. The more I read into this and listen to commentaries about this the more I understand who this was written to. Historically this book was written for people living in the Roman Empire. The beast was the current world order. The 6’s represent a trinity from the empire the Roman leader and man. This theme presents itself through every world order. The decision will be to be marked or tattooed by the world or believe god.

@@daniel4492 ..Shane is a good communicator.
As to Roman Emporers in the first century being the Anti-Christ....if thats the case and if the Anti-Christ/The Beast was back in the first century, the Second Coming of Christ, the Milleniunial reign of Christ from Jerusalem would have come and gone by now?

@@1969cmp honestly that’s kinda where I get tied up but the term “thousand” in Greek χίλια (chilia) as an adjective may have been mistranslated literally as one thousand vs meaning thousand which the number, from what I remember was used to describe an infinite amount of time. So when we go back to biblical timeframe it makes more sense that it is not known how long the the first martyred Christian’s will reign with Christ. Which would be the first resurrection. Not so much detail on this. I have to read more. It would also make more sense that Christ will be coming back to defeat Satan once and for all when he comes back in the clouds. This would be when believers are just caught up with him. Pre-trib, post trib, middle trib, are all widely debated topics. Jesus told us about how to look for the signs of his second coming. We can also take an example of Nazi germany being this very same Roman way to handle the populous. The german mark of the beast was the swastika. You had to wear it and worship the beast which would be German authority to buy or sell anything (in similar respects) The same antidote Satan has tried to accomplish through out history was human worship and idolatry vs God worship and obedience. Antichrist leadership for this world power is always held back by God. Then he always rescues his people. That is the theme of the Bible. I don’t really think antichrist will be one event but multiple events in different eras until Jesus comes back and overthrows this Satanic process for ever.

Go back to how Satan deceived the world in the Garden of Eden. The world only being two people. He convinced the world to worship themselves and idolize the tree of knowledge vs Gods command to eat from the tree of life. They had everything they needed. Nothing has changed from God providing for his people and giving them a way to life. We still exist in this pattern since the “fall” of man. We exist there now. God has not changed. The greatest thing he has done was offer himself for our redemption.
