"If your goal for eternity is to avoid fire" haha that cracked me up. Great service.

This is the first teaching/sermon from Shane that hasn’t hit me yet. He doesn’t know everyone’s situation whether it’s their job or age or financial situation. Not everyone can travel and donate thousands of dollars. I like Shane and everything he does and he’s helped me through some things but I’m stuck on this one. What talent? I don’t know what to do it’s not always simple job, health, where you live all makes a difference. I would do something but I have no idea what it could be.

Literal translation of "talent" is "x amount of money", not skills! Interesting how the parable was not fully discussed because the one who buried was "cast out". If you equate talent to skills then will you be cast to hell if you don't use your talent? If you take the literal meaning of x amount of money then will you be cast into hell if you made bad investment with your money? So is God a capitalist? Talent cannot mean skills or money if properly construed. It can ONLY refer to something that can determine someone's Eternity. What is it?
