The key to avoiding the "10 hit combo" is to just move out of the way, because it isn't a true combo.
So it's just like Tekken.
Technically, aside from certain multi hit moves, no combo is true if you know the right SDI
@@podiacider i dont think you know what a true combo is , a true combo is a combo where you cant get out of by yourself (i say by yourself cause a teammate could stop an enemy's combo)
I know right! Some people assumed that it was op in smash despite that it'snot even good in tekken. It's just a tekken tradition.
Gotta appreciate the attention to detail.
Can’t wait for the “Made it easier to lead into the following hit” in 13.0.0.
I can see this happening.
Just wait for someone to perfect every input of kazuya and do 3 0-deaths in a row
Perfect?
Is that parry?
Short jump nair, double jump fair, falling nair, fsmash. Almost true 0-to-death
@@jinnans_gd or down throw ewgf->full hop nair->uptilt->another ewgf->full hop nair->uptilt->ewgf->dash back fsmash/upsmash
Hmmm idk tje level 9 is crazy
Option 1: move away
Option 2: move away harder
Option 3 ft viridi: just wiggle around a bit!
In all fairness, the 10-hit combo in tekken proper was never a lock-in deal. Those who knew what to expect in Tekken, even in recent instalments, can escape a 10-hit combo in a few intervals if they know what to expect. That's why there's spots for you to get out of it. If it locked you in from the first hit to the last, it would be abused to hell and back.
Its a meme move
His normal jab does like 18% so he still has a very good jab. 10 hit combo can be seen as "the rapid jab that isn't a rapid jab and multi hits are inconsistent in ultimate so this one is no exception".
Exactly... 99% of all characters make like 15% with a SMASH ATTACK, Kazuya makes 18% with a NORMAL jab... His damage is INSANE in all moves...
@@juandavidamadomartin8015
To be fair, Kazuya gets all that damage at the expense of speed and range. His jab is only one frame faster than Bowser's and more susceptible to being low profiled. His jab damage while being among the highest of the Heavyweights and even Super Heavy Weights, is still par the course for the big guys who do more damage per hit than most of the cast.
@@Teknanam True, been playing with Kazuya and he feels slow and heavy the attacks don't connect easy but when they do they kinda cover all that disadvantage he has with spacing and movility so I don't think he's OP... Its a fair trade, you get an insane damage but it will be hard to land the attacks propperly...
@@Teknanam If it wasn't by that damage, Kazuya just won't work, cause he struggle so much to land an attack and if it had low damage he'll be useless... I totally agree
10 hit combo isn’t a combo in tekken so this wasn’t inconsistent multihits and was definitely on purpose.
You’ve found out the secret to getting out his combo the Kazuya cult will be at door step shortly
*The hero we needed, not the hero we deserved.*
As if this character even needs it with the amount of instant 50% options off of one interaction he has.
This is the exact info I was looking for. Thank you
I really like these short video about 1 topic in particular, it's really great ^^
Imagine if they made it easier to hit/harder to escape the 10 Hit Combo in the next patch.
At first I thought that we would finally have a character that would be considered as the best. But now I’m not so sure about Kazuya anymore and I have actually beaten Kazuya players online. But there is no doubt that he is still at least a Top Tier because this fighter is BROKEN!
I was playing Tourney the other night with my main, Sephiroth, at my favorite place, Mishima Dojo and we had to go up against Kazuya in his business suit. He tried to do the 10-hit combo on me but I shielded every hit and responded by executing the Perfect Shield and then counterattacked. That was an epic moment for me!
a lesser EVO moment, but still props to you my guy
well in tekken, technically it is actually easy to escape the 10 hit combo, that's why no one really uses it in competitive tekken
I came to this video because I was getting rolled by kazuya after kazuya and online and needed a way to counter. This video is short and sweet and really helped me out. Thx for the help👌
Thank you, I've been raging alot these past couple of days lol
Game went from smash to mash
Or just hold down the button
Alex exe top 10 options of how to avoid 10 hit combo
OK, but can we talk about what was going on with Kirby at 1:59?
That is clearly him looking towards the camera while in the combo. He definitely doesn't usually do that when shielding. XD
I felt as if he was judging my every past act on this planet.
As a Ganon I have so much fun VS the 10 hit string. Didn't get that many warlock punch kills for a while now 😂
Thank you. Been very annoyed getting hit for 45%
At higher percents its harder to escape i think. Also I'm a K Rool main and I'm having a real hard time vs Kazuya
I tried it at 0% and 100% with DK, and I was still able to escape it easily. But it could be different for other characters, not sure.
That does sound like a hard matchup. Sorry you're struggling, just keep practicing and maybe it'll get easier!
Kazuyas range is horrible so being a bit campy with crown and blunderbuss isn’t a terrible idea, you might also be able to di towards them in 10 hit combo
@@dionaea1310 yeah i was camping with crown and blunderbust and also using some quick dash attacks to mix it up. But i was also getting camped with lazer and Kazuya's damage output is just so great. Really the last 3, Sephiroth, Pyra, and Kazuya all have such high attack, they are K Rool killers. I'm used to surviving until 200% but not with those 3. I'm not complaining, I know I just gotta do better. I know with Seph its a little to get openings and when I Prya switches to Myrtha i can take'm easy. But yeah haven't really found the win against Kazuya yet.
@@chriskrichie566 his lazers are really annoying but k rool can duck under them, reflect them or even shield them.I’d recommend staying in a position where you can avoid them at all times.easier said then done tho
Shiot my Kazuya gets bull dozed by K Rools
I came here because i just got Kazuya and this combo seemed OP so I assumed there must be a catch. Needless to say I wanted to know how to counter it before any of my friends gets a chance to use it against me haha
Finally, I can escape the horror of this attack being spammed on me.
I've had computers slowly drift behind me during my 10 hit combo so I think DIing behind Kazuya is also possible
Do you know any good idea tô dodge Kazuya laser as Bowser? I'm always afraid of taking tô much shield damage while aproaching, i guess i can Up B on ground or jump but i don't know If it's the best way, also tô big tô crouch
I almost wonder if it's built like this since many fighting games have a press back to block mechanic
i feel as though theres going to be lots of new things discovered in the coming weeks that are going to be good and bad for kazuya
this info will help me cause online smash is merciless
online smash is just broken. I've been playing for a month now, I legit have like five wins. my reflexes just aren't fast enough anymore.
@@MbBadd what gsp are you at with your character(s)
@@Gaminghj like 1.9 million. it has been as low as 900k. I just can't do a lot of the things that are required tech to be 'good'
@@MbBadd You could look for videos that help your specific circumstances. Watch the footage of your losses and wins to see what you did right and wrong. Maybe you airdodge early, maybe you put yourself in bad situations or very risky ones. I myself have 10 million gsp on Doctor Mario and 9 million on other characters like Lucas, Terry and Yoshi. I think I'm qualified to help. You need a good reaction time. Not reflexes. Reflexes aren't as much of a factor as reaction time. And even then. Reflexes can betray you. Fake outs can occur from the enemy. Also you need to learn the tendencies of your opponents. What they do when you do something. Sometimes people do the same things and if they aren't clever enough. You can catch them in the act and call out their repetitive gameplay. It's smart to try to rematch your opponent if you're confident you can win. And the same repetitive gameplay could be coming from you too. You can't stick to one gameplan. You gotta be constantly randomly changing up or your opponent could read you. Smash is a game of who goes second. Not first. Catching your opponents when they leave themselves open. And knowing the risks of that opening. There's luck. But not enough to mean a guaranteed win on either side. Unless Hero's involved. Know how to play against who you fight. That comes from constant play. I myself was bad for a long time. I couldn't get more than 4m gsp in online and was stuck battling the same lvl 9 cpu's. I then noticed my habits and worke on them. Looked for combos online for the characters I played and learned about di and sdi. I've played over 1k hours now. And I've become better. But in the 500's I was still bad. Time helps. But only if you learn from the mistakes made in that time
I've written an essay jeez
I just got 3-0d in my esports match because he played Kazuya and I could escape with his sleep bs. Hope this helps, Thank You!
I’m not surprised honestly. I figured it was a matter of time before people figured out how to beat the 10 hit. Even in Tekken you can low parry this combo on the 7th hit and interrupt it after the 5th hit. 10 hits are really just for flexing, they’re not actually viable
Steve : Hahaha 50 elytra techs go brrrr
I will add this, If you're right next to the ledge it wont let you back away
Ive seen opponents fall off the ledge many times before when the combo is attempted.
This is honestly really sad, but I guess the reason why is because of the zero hitstun. I’m glad there is a way to escape the cutscene jab, but it’s also incredibly depressing that there is a consistent way to do it.
you could just press go away and press y or x at the same time
THANK YOU SO MUCH DUDE
This happens with every character because the vast majority of people who play Smash don't even know what DI is. I'm sure there was a time for everyone where they thought 12 PK fires in a row was a true combo. Smash 4 Bayo was the only character where it was so simple to just Smash DI even though it was posted everywhere online.
DI out or SDI down and away.
Some ppl can move into u and behind u as well
Does this work with terry?
Now do one for jab jab Busta wolf!p
Hey skedadudlers
Well thanks for this..but it just seems like it's very easy for people to get hit by the 10 hit combo still. I tried it plenty of times. Heck some people died because they freaked out and air dodge to the bottom of the stage.
10 hit combo
AAAAAAAAAA
sdi in at the beginning of the attack and the 3rd hit is slow
Quite useful. Quite annoying when playing online. Can tell casuals are using it compared to actual Tekken players. In competitive Tekken, no one uses 10 hit combos like that. I dont use it lol
Nice to see Smash fans catching on that 10-Hit combos are rather impractical, just like in Tekken.
"Just SDi lol"
What about counter
Well kazuya is no longer broken now
CPUs have to disagree
Nah, doesnt mean you Can escape a move he is not broken
Thank you my brother plays Kazuya a lot and it's his 2nd best character and he uses this
Is Kazuya any good in smash?
@@Schnoz42069 but he is very difficult to master ?
@@BruceLee-sr4dj
He's got the largest moveset in the game, some fairly difficult (for Smash) inputs for some of those moves, and he's a character who gets camped out and outranged. Yes, he isn't newbie friendly outside the 10 hit combo and armored Smash attacks.
Ofc
@@Teknanam he is newbie friendly the only hard input is ewgf
@@shreddedbagelwabiwabo8342
Wind God Fist, EWGF, Crouch Dash, and one of his Hell Sweeps uses the Shoryuken input. That in itself is not newbie friendly. Having the most moves of any Smash character with many using inputs that aren't traditionally associated with Smash is not newbie friendly either. On top of it all, he's relatively slow, but needs to be an aggressive character.
10 hit combo, high damage, and being heavy are all he has for newbies, but everything else he has is overwhelming.
ok
Why the hell is the last hit 'unblockable'
No one else has anything like that
Ko punch is unblockable as well
This is probably yo shortest video
No, its this one ruclips.net/video/jI34cQ12yTI/видео.html
Bruh you just telling everyone and there momma.
You don't even have to do anything. Characters always fall out of it.
Many of the DLC fighters seem unfair to play against for a while until you get the hang of fighting them. Kazuya is not one of them.
Unless those so called infinites pan out and prove him busted, Kazuya's going to at best end up with the other fighting game characters where they are harder to play, pretty rewarding, but suffer from getting camped and the fact that there are better characters who don't have the high learning curve.
I bet in about a month barely anyone is going to play kazuya he might even end up like min min
Or Steve, he was the "Hypest" character and "the most OP of all time" and now is DEAD in the competitive game, everyone droped him like 2 weeks after they saw he was the worst and most punishable DLC character for competitive...
Boy
As a Kazuya main in tekken, he is way to slow in smash, leaving too many gaps for others to punish him
*Instantly loses elite smash*
Hold away and shield is bad advice because players like me WANT you to shield.
The key to not getting hit is to just not get hit. It’s not that hard.
I wish this move worked better. They could make the attack really difficult to do (alternating between A and B with really strict timing) but make it always work if you can pull it off. But apparently it's actually garbage even in tekken so I guess it's kinda accurate...?
Imagine not knowing how to sdi
Just watch, they will make it impossible to DI any of Kazuya's moves and make all his moves deal more damage. Because DLC
