Omfg this shit’s fire this is literally what I try to explain 😭 Literally it’s hard to make a comeback as the combo character when my health is deep red and no one cares when I say that Some extra notes: Aerial Electric not only has a more forward angle than Grounded Electric, it also just has less hitstun frames (it stuns for 5 less frames at 0, 2 less frames if the opponent already got paralysis) So yeah putting yourself higher by DI’jng in also mathematically favors you due to the Kazuya getting a more grounded angle, but also due to the less advantage he has on hit One thing I am wondering about is that DI out when you have no choice to be on the platform, I might lab some routes involving that as I think there is some stuff we can do against mistechs that don’t require immense precision and “luck” so to speak Good shit!!!
i think best i got on di out on plat was ferps->electric. i was doing frame by frame perfect ferps->dgf at 0 and it would work like half the times on mario depending on drift, but it’s much too hard. (also i think even if you do land this combo, NO di or a slight di out would also neutralize this combo after the dgf because kazuya stuck on plat and mario falls down to stage). but ty! and gl on labbing, lmk if there’s a combo route that works out
I had no idea that I had to do calculus just so my jump man does get touch to death by a Tekken player. Like oh my, this is so much to consider, I believe I will just get a character to zone him out and edge guard him if I can. Great video to keep for food for thought.
You'll never 100% avoid interaction with Kazuya unless you play Minmin (and even then it's hard) or Sonic I play Samus and I can't wall him off forever
curious the difference between di up and di in? if we di in so we are too high for the kaz to combo us does up not do the same? also curious if sdi matters or if i could just focus on holding the di in the correct spot.

3:25 That exception is very unclear, as I do not understand the point of its condition and there's the aforementioned coinflip. Also, what's the meaning of "checking" for aerial EWGF?
Let's assume EWGF hit you. Check for these conditions: - were you in the air when you got hit? - are you near a platform? - does Kazuya have Rage? If you answered yes to all three questions, DI in and you will not die, only take a handful of damage

You can also crouch jab into run off nair on platforms for a true combo most of the time 😁
