From what I looked up, the dryer is most likely from January of 1985. It could also be 1997, but seeing as the washer is a '97, it would make sense that the dryer is a bit older than the washer.
The water level switch is adjusted too high because if medium fills to the large setting then you need to turn the small screw back till when the super plus fills to the top of the tub…

1997 Direct drive, a little rough shape but they’re great machines.

Do you have the ones witch contains a metal drum with a door and you have to spin the drum around until the door shows up at the top?

If the water overflows on the highest setting, consider someone replacing the water level switch and pressure hose on it to fix that problem.
