Thank you for this video! I just spent 20 minutes trying to find the start button on my friend’s vintage dryer when they weren’t home to show me. 🤦♀️😂 It was hiding in plain sight!
Nice! Something tells me it used to be a matched pair years ago. Even if that were the case, the old (probably GE) would have been 13 years old by the time it was replaced, and now the DD is 18 years old. Nice stuff! I really don't know how long either of them are going to last, those mop heads look like they really leave a lot of detritus behind. But it's not your job to care of course. The GE dryer is weird--it brings back weird memories of people that used to work in the school when I was in it. There was one lady in particular, she was divorced, just so happened to drive an old Buick Electra (carbureted, though everything was fuel injection for years), and is someone that would definitely own a dryer like that. Little did I know I'd end up driving an old Buick one day. The dryer is just weird, with the door on the front going full-width of the machine, the weird bump-out with the holes on the back of it, the lint filter at the bottom, the light in the door like that.
So I just got a GE dryer DDE 7500BBLAD and I can’t find any info on this model. Do you have any info or know of where I can learn more about it? It’s got a lot of lent I need to clean out. The belt looks okay. Ball joint definitely needs some oil. I want to learn as much as I can to keep this awesome machine in tip top shape. It’s in really good condition for its age.
I had a 2002 model. Didn't like it because every time I stuck my hands in the tub the auger on the dual action agitator would hit them and chew them up. I miss my Kenmore Series 80 or 90 from 1988
Fabric softener dispenser is loose. Good machine tho. Also the direct drives from the EARLY 2000's (2000~2004) had the warm/warm option (mid to top of the line models) (I think)

interesting to see after all those years GE still uses same design in the back of dryer drum.
Oh that poor dryer with all that lint!
ONE of the last machines to have the Warm/ Warm feature I think 2003 was the last time they had Warm/warm ( no ATC).
Oh yeah
I need to know The model of the one you used for the cover of the video. The one with the buttons in front. Thanks
