I like the idea of printing out your wrapping paper with more unique and personal designs. This was an awesome tutorial and the wrapping looks really pretty!
I have found that folding both ends at the same time hold the object in place. Also folding the outer corners first as opposed to folding form top to bottom gives it a nicer look. Have spent the last three years gift wrapping to raise funds for scholarships that go to military families. It is a great way to spend the month of December.
I used to create my own wrapping paper. It looked so awesome but very time consuming. I the idea of printing something out as that would save on time. Thanks Lindsey!

This is so pretty! Love the idea of creating my own wrapping paper. Question: is there a reason why you left the white border, which is visible after you wrap the gift, on the wrapping paper when you trimmed it to size?

Thank you! I actually like sealing wax more on presents than I do on envelopes -- less of a chance of them getting chipped or falling off!

If your wrapping paper isn't thick enough, I'd be worried about the heat of the wax possibly damaging the present.
That's a good point! 32# laserjet paper is always a safe bet. :) For thinner papers, double-wrapping may not be a bad idea!
