The guy shows them gym his disability ID and they still kick him out. He’s current suing the gym over it.

This is a sad reality. I am a regular gym goer who's seen the gym change from a casual, social place to a twitchy 'dont make eye contact' place. it never used to be like this. And frankly, it sucks. For those that think we're staring at you. you wish. we're there for other reasons and , god forbid, we look around while we work out...we. dont. care. about. you. If you are there to be looked at...... pass. Do your work, give 100%, you'll get respect. Start a intelligent conversation, you'll get interest, if we click, we go there. Simple.

I provided a possible explanation for why she immediately mentioned she was married (guys that come up to her at the gym try to hit on her so she wants to discourage them early in the conversation). Definitely no one accused Emer of harassment either.
Not even the woman in the story Emer shared sounded like she was upset or accusing him of anything, just that she wanted to discourage anyone striking up conversation to ask her out.
