Doesn't help with a legacy bios. After this last win 10 update I see no bios post. By the time my lcd gets a signal it's at the login screen.. Damn these updates that screw things up sure get old. Had it all set up right. Tried checking the box for boot log & each other one & none made any difference. I guess I should feel lucky it's just a black screen during my bios post & not a black screen with no windows boot up like a lot of users have reported. Geezz MS, pull your head out of your asses.

The most recent dell support update changed the boot order for my BIOS and had no idea how to reach it like I normally would because of things like fast boot existing now. Thanks to this video telling me how to do it saved me another trip back to best buy which is a good thing and I'm surprised they didn't fix this issue themselves when they had it for another reason like the PC constantly hard locking but they said it was due to corrupt windows files and then I thought to myself that it was probably because of the dell support software update it did to my PC causing the files to get corrupted. Thank you for the video!

Hi there, thank you for your question! First, try resetting the CMOS on the motherboard. This can usually be done by removing the battery on the motherboard for a few minutes, or by using the Clear CMOS jumper (refer to your motherboard manual for details). This will reset the BIOS settings to default and may resolve any issues preventing access to the BIOS. If that doesn't work, you can try updating the BIOS using a USB drive. Check your motherboard manufacturer's website for the latest BIOS version and instructions on how to update it. Be careful when flashing the BIOS, as any interruption or mistake can cause irreversible damage to the motherboard. If you still cannot enter the BIOS, it may be worth trying a different keyboard or other input devices, as the problem could be related to them. If all else fails, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a professional technician for further assistance.

    • @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware

Hi there, thank you for your question! Check that you're using the correct key to enter the BIOS, consider using a different keyboard, disable Windows 10's Fast Startup feature, ensure your Windows is updated, verify hardware connections, attempt a BIOS reset by removing the CMOS battery or using a motherboard-specific method, update the BIOS if it's outdated (with caution), try switching between UEFI and Legacy modes, test by connecting your monitor to integrated graphics, attempt to trigger the BIOS by booting from a USB drive or CD, and if none of these steps work, consult the manufacturer's support or a professional technician as it might be a hardware-related issue.

My Windows do not allow me to access the UEFI settings. There is no such an option during the restart in the trouble shooter. I would like to instal windows 11, but there is a problem with TPM 2.0 and secure boot. That makes it impossible to run Windows 11. I have to access BIOS, however I can't because the BIOS doesn't launch. I tried everything. Nevertheless there might be some solution which I cannot find. My hardware is perfectly fine and runs windows 10 with all the updates. I also play all the games including new ones on ultra. Everything runs smoothly except launching BIOS and the requirements for windows 11. Do you known how to fix this? I have to access BIOS and change some settings, however I have to do it from within the windows while my PC is running. Do you know how to do that? I want to remind that there are no UEFI setting accessable.

Hi there, thank you for your question! You can try using the Advanced Startup options by pressing and holding the Shift key while clicking on the Restart button, using the command prompt to restart the PC into the UEFI settings by typing "shutdown /r /fw" command as an administrator, checking for a firmware update for your motherboard or PC, or contacting the manufacturer for further assistance. Once you can access the UEFI settings, you can enable TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, which are required for Windows 11. Keep in mind that some older hardware may not be compatible with Windows 11, even if they meet the minimum requirements.

I am suddenly unable to enter my bios after using the same system for many years. I just want to change a fan setting, but I cannot enter the bios the way I normally would with the delete key or with the other method you showed here. Any suggestions?

Hi there, thank you for your question! Have you Tried pressing different keys such as "F2," "F12," or "Esc" during startup, disconnect any USB devices, disable the "Fast Startup" feature in Windows if applicable, and reboot your computer multiple times while pressing the BIOS access key. If these steps don't work, consider updating or resetting the BIOS, clearing CMOS (with caution), checking for hardware issues, or accessing UEFI settings through the Windows recovery menu if your computer uses UEFI.

This did not work for me, my laptop is10 years old but I have upgraded it and adding more memory so it runs fine. Fast forward to Covid times and I need my camera for a video interview but I disabled it years ago in Bios. None of this worked for me so, I decided to shut it down, remove the battery& power cord then remove the hard drive. Once I restarted it, I got the options for my Bios Screen. Hope this helps someone else!!
