- Warzone pro TeeP discovered that his non-overclocked controller got more aim assist in Warzone than his overclocked controller, so don't overclock your controller if you want maximum aim assist in Warzone.

in warzone 2 it does not interfere and if anything its helped my game greatly. I had so much input lag before the game was unplayable on my controller.
@@silverpro8356 this is good to know. Thank you!
OC doesn't interfere with aim assist. It's latency. Less latency means adjusting your reaction time.
Interesting
@@JROCKGAMINGplus ps controller have much lower latency when overclocked (1000hz polling rate support) while most xbox controllers are capped at 250hz (higher latency)
It definitely does affect aim assist I have a ps5 co troller I did testing I only he 0.5 ms delay compared to overclocked at 0 delay and I feel more aim assist and it still feels the same like delay wise you can’t even tell it’s not overclocked fr
@@EDDTTV215_you play on console?
It doesn’t interfere with the aim assist directly but because the controller is more responsive, you’re strafing or flicking through that aim assist bubble faster than usual. So indirectly, yes.
Here's the problem with this video and Teep's Theory. He used an Xbox Scuf controller and then applied an overclock, then compared that to a stock PlayStation controller. However he missed one VITAL piece of information. Xbox controllers CANNOT be overclocked. It will show an increased polling rate in the Lord of mice software (which is used to overclock) however ALL OEM Xbox controllers (Scuf controllers are just modified OEM controllers for both PS and Xbox) are polling rate LOCKED via a chip on the Controller main board. ALL Xbox controllers are locked to 125Hz. However PlayStation controllers have a stock polling rate of 250Hz and are NOT locked. What Teep was experiencing was the difference between a Stock 125Hz Xbox controller (with expectation of overclock benefits) VS a Stock PlayStation 4 OR 5 controller (which has a higher polling rate despite being stock) This would also explain why Aim assist acts stronger on PlayStation and 5 than on Xbox.
Interesting
So I’ve played with both Xbox and ps controllers oc. I actually uninstalled the oc a year ago and I definitely felt more aim assist but the input delay was noticeable. Ever since then I haven’t oc any other controllers. But while on apex I tried playing linear ALC lowered my deadzone to like 2-3% and that makes it feel like there’s no aim assist. So it made me think of when I had my oc controllers and they would drift so much. I believe that oc makes the deadzones very low too and that could be a reason on why you can feel less aim assist. While on steam I lowered my deadzones through steam itself for my controller and it felt like I had no aim assist at times. Might not be 100 correct but there can be some correlation with the deadzones and the oc.
You absolutely could be right about that. Excellent observation. Thanks for letting the community know about it!
Could you explain how to remove the overclock? I'm getting a really weird phantom movement on both controllers I OC'd. It's not a normal stick drift situation.
@@setharter you should just be able to uninstall the program you used for the OC
@Precise. weird!
@@preciseIyI’m still with this issue I’ve oc 1 controller and when I connect my 2nd it’s oc as well, and I can’t revert it back
It has nothing to do with the overclock, it is more a PS4 controller thing. When you are using PS4 binds the games makes the feeling of the controller different to the Xbox binds. I remember using DS4 for my Dualshock 4 and DS4 makes your game think that you're using an Xbox Controller and when i stopped using DS4 and started using the PS4 binds and i felt my aim was way better. So it have nothing to do with overclock but a controller thing.
TeeP never said anything about DS4
how do you use ps4 binds instead of DS4?
It actually depends on the person like me i overclocked my controller 4 months ago and my kd went up and i played with a controller that is not overclocked and my aim was all over the place my movement is eh but i highly recommended trying it out to see what is best for you and when i went back to a controller that is not overclocked aim assist feels normal thats my opinion but just try it out for yourself and see what is best for you
I think that’s great advice. What did you use to OC? What kind of controller?
@@JROCKGAMING ps4 controller
@@JROCKGAMING you do know that ps4 controller stocked is 3.3ms on ds4 after oc its 0.5ms ps5 is 0ms xbox apprently cant be done as the polling rate is locked
@@daegantierney7043 nope I didn’t know that. I just know what I heard TeeP say. And what people like you tell me.
When i go back to unoverclocked aim feels terrible hey there is just way too much input delay.
Personally I noticed a huge improvement after I overclocked my PS4 controller. But I do have a power a fusion Xbox controller laying around. I might try it just to test it again.
Please let us all know how it goes.
With a ps5 dualsense you don’t have to overclock your delay is already low 0-0.5 ms I tested it and the aim assist feels stronger without it overclocked on a ps4 controller your stuck at 3.5 ms so of course it might seem better but that’s only because your delay is higher than mines without an overclock I’m not overclocking anymore it was working fine but I can’t use any settings in games some games I gotta turn my sensitivity to a 1,1 in order for it to be somewhat playable it’s just too fast which hurts ya aim I feel as though having no overclock works way better
What I know is the Xbox controller cannot be overclocked. It will always default to 124hz. Even when you overclock the controller to 1000hz it will poll that rate but the controller will only send 124hz true rate. The PS4 and PS5 controllers for whatever reason poll at 250hz. So by default it's already better than an Xbox controller. Thats what TP is feeling. Also it is known that the Xbox controller sticks are not super accurate. They miss diagonals badly. I would switch but I'm so used to the Xbox layout and native support on PC.
This is great information, thank you. I use an Elite Series II controller and it seems pretty good, but I would love to OC it. However, I don't have Gfuel in my veins so I don't want to lose aim assist or whatever is actually happening there.
ps5 controllers are just better then xbox elite 2 !!!
I dont think thats true at all when i overclock my xbox controller i play way better and the response feels faster as well. The rate can be changed on both xbox and ps4 controllers.
@@silverpro8356 placebo most likely
That sounds more like an assumption than facts don’t you think
Just presenting the info. Everyone is free to make their own choices obviously.
You can't over clock an Xbox controller bro
A pro Xbox controller you can. Like a Scuf
@CaptainGiRO Yeah I have an Elite and I haven't overclocked it, but I think that's why I lose so many gunfights these days. Everyone else OCed their controller.
@@JROCKGAMINGnoooooo you can’t. I’ve tried. There are videos proving this wrong too. There is ONE Xbox controller that lets you over clock and it’s not even good enough to beat Sony controllers even then
@@Zeft64 interesting!
@@JROCKGAMING I don't think so. Scuf just takes the PCB from a regular xbox controller and puts it in a fancier shell with some extra features.
This is one pointless video with no evidence. He didn't even do any research talking about overclocking his Xbox controller.
It’s TeeP bro LOL
@@JROCKGAMING SO other pros say otherwise aswell? you just going off one incorrect statement. And like you said in the video talking about how your not going to overclock your xbox controller, if you did any research beforehand you would know its not possible already.
@@cantkillshibby when I googled it I found several links to how to do it.
He plays on PS4 usually... All overclocking does is cut input lag, so these assumptions are not accurate. It's all what you're used to; at the end of the day you're going to perform best with what you've been playing on primarily.
I’m just reporting what TeeP said in his stream. And he plays way more than I do.
Overclocking really doesn’t help a lot and majority of pros don’t do it.
He doesn't play on a PS4. He plays both M&K and controller on PC.
you cant OC an xbox controller, thats why pros use PS5 controllers. Xbox controllers have a cap of 125hz evven with it being OC, now with a PS5 controller, it can be OC at 1000HZ. Big difference
I should get a PS5 controller and OC it
You're wrong, the best overclocks are ps5 and PS4 usb-c aftermarket
Just reporting on what the legendary TeeP said.
Makes sense because the game will probably consider the controller a mouse
Yeah all I know is what Teep said. Not sure how it actually works
Everyone on this post only disagreeing because they don’t have a dualsense edge lmao yall still have a ps4 controller you don’t even need to overclock with a dualsense edge especially if you use ds4 or antimicro yall delay without an overclock is 3.5 ma mines without an overclock is 0-0.5 it jumps back and fourth you can’t even notice the controller is not overclocked you won’t even be able to tell the difference
That’s interesting!
Xbox Controller can Not overclocked over 1000hz. Playstation Controller can Up to 8000hz. but the controller should definitely work if it were overclocked
Just reporting on what TeeP said.
Are u sure Xbox one controllers don’t work when u over clock it?
I just reported on what TeeP said. I never tried to overclock my Elite Series II.
@Precise. interesting!
Cool vid but not trying to be a dick you cant overclock xbox controllers its locked at 125 hz and trust me overclocking your ps5 controller as long as you cpu can handle it is a must
@@jamesmatushin5457 I’ve never overclocked a controller
im the last one to say it dont nobody else say it!!!!!!!! but you cant over clock xbox unless you remove whatevers blocking it,
that being said when you play on a faster response time controller you got to speed up yo hands to LMAOOO if you over push the sticks you gone break the aim assist or over power it because your holding the stick in the opposite direction to long
What’s blocking it?
We don’t play wz pimp it’s ranked and gamebattles
Gamebattles is still a thing?
Teep has a overcloked controller at 500 hz not 1000 cause it's to twitchy for him
Thought you couldn’t oc an Xbox controller?
Dude it has nothing to do with the over clock it has more to do with the difference between xbox and playstion controllers.
Ok
From my research you only should over clock PlayStation controllers
Why?
@@JROCKGAMING idk bro something about Xbox controllers hardware
@@Flock13 never heard that before. If you find out why can you leave a comment on here so we all can know why? Or find me on Twitter if you prefer. Thanks bro.
@@JROCKGAMING You can do OC xbox ones but it dosent make a differnce look it up, only PlayStation it brings the input delay down if you test xbox before and after overclock its the same ms input delay where as dualshocks can, its because the polling rate the thing your changing is locked on xbox controllers
@@JROCKGAMING i only know because i have all 3 controllers overclocked then heard that you cant oc xbox ones aswell but i think it makes it more consistent someone said anyway doesn't harm it just dosent bring the input delay down sadly
You Cannot overclock XBox controllers its a proven fact
..
So what was TeeP talking about?
Using a sample size of 1 to base a decision on, isn't exactly doing your research. It's obvious you have no idea whether or not overclocking causes this issue and, Considering you're making a video recommending others not to do it, maybe actually look into it first.
I'm just reporting on what TeeP said. Take it up with him bro.
You can’t overclock Xbox controllers……….
Really?
See this boy coukd over over clocked his controler seen the advantage and then fort I need to put others off this so it keeps us better then them hahah just a fort
Just reporting what the legendary TeeP said live on stream.
you also cant overclock any sort of xbox controller anyways
Is that 100% true?

You can't overclock xbox controllers all xbox controllers are locked
Are you sure?
@JROCKGAMING it says all stock or xbox branded controllers have a 125hz lock on them but I don't have 100% on that there may be a software than changed the lock on xbox controller
